Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can native USB combine mono Legal duplex, individual color Letter scanning and 250 included Legal sheets?
Qualifies with compatible native software and suitable stock. The glass supports Letter/A4; exact one-sided Letter output is declared up to 24 ppm.
Explore this need in the finder →Can it capture a stack through an automatic feeder?
Fails: the exact DCP-7060D has only glass; the shared original reserves the ADF for DCP-7065DN.
Explore this need in the finder →Does it include Ethernet for a network-scanning desk?
Fails: standard interface is USB only; neighboring network interfaces are not transferred.

The Brother DCP-7060D is a discontinued monochrome laser printer and copier with color flatbed scanning. Its useful fit is a compatible local USB desk handling individual originals and black two-sided documents. It includes a 250-sheet cassette, thirty-two megabytes and a two-line display, without network, automatic document feeder or telephone-fax hardware.
The exact US specification is preserved in Spanish and positively identifies color scanning, rather than monochrome capture inferred from the printer’s output color. The original USA/CAN guide also distinguishes DCP-7060D from feeder-equipped DCP-7065DN and network-equipped HL-2280DW. Those hardware differences remain material even when several models appear in the same instructions.
The glass supports Letter and A4 rather than Legal
Place an individual original face down on the glass at the indicated alignment corner. The physical maximum is 8.5 × 11.7 inches, supporting Letter and A4. Legal documents can be printed, but a fourteen-inch Legal original does not fit that glass. There is no feeder to provide an alternative long-original route.
The original glass routine also permits one book page at a time, subject to its physical size and weight limits. Close the cover gently when working with a bound or thick original.
The native PDF routine chooses the actual model, file type, destination folder, resolution and document size. A larger software setting or interpolated resolution does not enlarge the glass. The original optical value is 600 × 2400 dpi, separate from the much larger interpolated declaration. Capturing a second original side involves individual operator handling rather than an automatic duplex-scanning mechanism.
One included computer connection
Hi-Speed USB is the included host interface. The original reserves Ethernet for DCP-7065DN and HL-2280DW, and wireless for HL-2280DW. A shared computer-requirements table therefore does not give this DCP a network port or Wi-Fi radio. The native USB arrangement positively supports desktop printing and computer capture alongside standalone copying.
Appropriate historical drivers and scanning software still need to work on the intended computer. A broad compatibility name does not establish every current operating-system feature. PCL6 of another family variant, an MFC’s Secure Key and native mobile-protocol routes are not transferred. USB is also a computer connection rather than a substitute for a missing telephone-fax function.
Automatic output duplex is a separate capability
The cassette holds 250 sheets on the stated 20 lb plain-paper basis and accepts Letter, Legal and A4. The separate manual slot handles one sheet at a time for suitable envelopes or special stock. That occasional input is not another full paper tray and does not establish unattended mixed-media capacity.
The exact US automatic two-sided print list includes Letter, Legal and Folio with suitable plain or recycled paper. Ordinary A4 input does not enlarge that regional duplex list. Correct paper, media and native duplex settings remain part of the routine. Automatic output duplex does not create a feeder or change the size of an original that can be captured.
Exact Letter speed and supply conditions
DCP-7060D is declared up to twenty-four one-sided Letter pages per minute, rather than the twenty-seven of its neighboring models. The original separately gives a Letter duplex rate in its own pages-per-minute units. These are manufacturer declarations, not personal measurements, and no recurring monthly recommendation is inferred.
The starter is declared at approximately 700 pages. TN-420 and TN-450 replacements have different ISO/IEC 19752 yields; the separate DR-420 drum declaration uses a one-page-per-job basis. None establishes current running cost or remaining life. The loaded body is 15.95 × 15.7 × 10.6 inches and 22.3 lb, with US 110–120 VAC requirements. Leave glass-lid, cassette, paper-path and service access. A desk built around unattended stacks or shared networking needs different hardware.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Exact DCP-7060D up to 24 one-sided Letter ppm, not neighboring 7065DN/HL2280 up to 27. Original output-duplex declaration separately 5 pages/minute Letter in maker’s original units, not relabeled sheets. No monthly recommendation or maximum duty is inferred.
Paper handling
250-sheet cassette at 20 lb / 80 g/m² supports Letter/Legal/A4. Separate manual slot one sheet at a time for envelopes/suitable special stock. Exact US automatic output duplex Letter, Legal, Folio on appropriate 16–28 lb plain/recycled paper. A4 ordinary input does not enlarge that regional duplex list.
Scanning arrangement
Exact DCP-7060D has glass only, maximum 8.5 × 11.7 in. for Letter/A4, not Legal. ADF explicitly belongs to 7065DN; no automatic original-side capture. Color scanner optical 600 × 2400 dpi separate from 19,200 interpolated. Native PDF routine selects model, file format, destination, resolution and actual original size.
Computer and mobile connections
Included Hi-Speed USB only. Exact US source has no Ethernet/wireless, and original interface applicability names only 7065DN/HL2280 for Ethernet and HL2280 for Wi-Fi.32 MB, two-line display, host-based printing; neighbor’s PCL6 or MFC’s Secure Key not inherited. No fax hardware.
Supplies and declared yields
Approximately 700-page starter; TN-420 replacement approximately 1,200 and TN-450 approximately 2,600 under ISO/IEC 19752 Letter conditions. DR-420 separate drum approximately 12,000 at 1 page/job in exact US specification; actual life variable. No current supply cost or remaining-life claim.
Software and support
Compatible native USB desktop printer/scanner software and separate standalone copying. Use exact model and original size in ControlCenter 4 or appropriate native scanning driver; individual glass alignment/preview differs from batch capture. No AirPrint, Mopria, peer or native PIN bridge is asserted. Confirm usable historical OS/driver before depending on advanced controls.
Electrical edition and setup
USA/CAN original 110–120 V AC, 50/60 Hz. Exact viewed body 15.95 × 15.7 × 10.6 in., 22.3 lb with consumables, not HL2280’s 22.7 or 7065’s 25.1. Leave glass-lid, cassette, manual/rear-output, USB cable and maintenance access. Letter/A4 originals and Legal output are distinct physical needs.
