HL-3075CWIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible small office needing occasional color documents, ordinary network printing and native password-held release.

The main tradeoff

There is no automatic print duplex or scanner; the front flash-drive connection is distinct from the desktop USB interface.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can compatible Ethernet output supply color, protected release, 250 included sheets and 19 Letter ppm?

Qualifies with compatible native Windows software and suitable media. Exact original provides password-held document release and 250-sheet input; 19 ppm is one-sided Letter output.

Will its two-sided setting meet an automatic duplex requirement?

Fails: the exact operation requires an operator to refeed pages. It is manual duplex, and the BR-Script driver does not provide that manual routine.

Does single-pass LED wording mean it can scan both sides of originals?

Fails: single-pass describes the print engine. HL-3075CW has no scanner or original feeder.

Wireless color output with a separate front direct-print port

The Brother HL-3075CW is a discontinued color LED printer with USB, Ethernet and ordinary Wi-Fi. It also offers front USB flash-drive and PictBridge camera printing, useful when a supported file can be printed without first sending it through a desktop. Those front connections are distinct from the rear computer USB interface.

This is a dedicated printer with no scanner, copier or fax. The technical record's single-pass wording describes the LED print engine, not an original feeder. The exact model also has 64 MB memory with PCL6 and BR-Script 3, whereas the neighboring HL-3045CN has different controller and direct-print features.

Manual duplex depends on the chosen driver

The original explicitly documents manual two-sided output. Its native routine prints the even pages, asks the operator to reload the sheets in the correct order and orientation, then prints the odd pages. A duplex or booklet option in that driver therefore does not establish an automatic paper-turning unit.

The BR-Script driver does not support this manual duplex routine. That is a practical software distinction when choosing an emulation or printer queue: a general list of supported languages does not mean every print control is available in every driver. Appropriate plain, thin or recycled stock and careful refeeding remain part of the documented operation.

Paper and protected documents

The cassette holds up to 250 plain sheets on the stated 20 lb / 80 g/m² basis and accepts ordinary Letter, Legal and A4. A one-sheet manual feed provides a separate path for suitable envelopes and other listed stock. It is not another stack cassette, and special media should use its own settings rather than borrowing the ordinary tray rating.

The native Windows driver also documents password-protected print data. The operator selects Secure Print, chooses the user and job, enters the password and releases the copies at the panel. Secure data clears after printing or power-off. That establishes real held-document release without inventing a four-digit password length that the read operation does not state.

Network setup and output rates

Hi-Speed USB, 10/100 Ethernet and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi are included. Wireless security and access-point setup still need compatible settings. AirPrint, Mopria and Wi-Fi Direct remain unestablished in the exact material read; ordinary wireless capability is not used to infer them. Check usable software for the intended computer rather than treating the historical operating-system list as a later-platform guarantee.

The exact engine rates black and color output up to nineteen one-sided Letter or eighteen A4 pages per minute. These are manufacturer declarations rather than a personal timing result, and no automatic duplex rate is assigned. The surviving sources do not establish a numerical recommended monthly range or duty figure, so those fields stay unknown instead of being copied from a neighboring model.

Toner access and the actual cabinet

The brochure states an approximately 1,000-page starter toner declaration. TN-210 black replacement toner is approximately 2,200 pages and each color approximately 1,400 under ISO/IEC 19798. The DR-210CL drum, BU-200CL belt and WT-200CL waste box are separate maintenance components with their own usage conditions. These source yields do not establish current running cost or remaining life in an individual unit.

The exact unit measures 16.1 × 18.3 × 9.8 inches with a declared 41.9 lb unit weight; the carton is a different 48.5 lb figure. The original brochure specifies 120 VAC ±10%, 50/60 Hz. Leave room above for the top-loading toner design, along with rear-output, manual-feed, cassette, cable and service access. Inspect the actual earlier unit's supplies, paper supports and interfaces before relying on its documented color-printing arrangements.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Up to 19 one-sided Letter or 18 A4 ppm in monochrome and color. Single-pass wording describes the LED print engine, not an automatic scanner. No numeric recommended monthly volume or maximum duty is established in the read exact sources.

Paper handling

250-sheet cassette on the 20 lb / 80 g/m² plain-paper basis plus one-sheet manual feed. Ordinary Letter, Legal and A4 accepted; suitable envelopes use the manual path. Actual two-sided routine prints even pages, requires manual refeed, then prints odd pages. BR-Script driver does not support this manual-duplex routine.

Computer and mobile connections

Included Hi-Speed USB, 10/100 Ethernet and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, with 64 MB standard memory and PCL6/BR-Script3. Front USB flash/PictBridge direct printing is separate from computer USB. Native password-held driver/panel release is documented, without an invented four-digit length. AirPrint, Mopria and Wi-Fi Direct remain unestablished. No scanner, copier or fax.

Supplies and declared yields

Brochure states an approximately 1,000-page starter toner declaration. TN-210BK replacement approximately 2,200 and each TN-210 color approximately 1,400 under ISO/IEC 19798. Separate DR-210CL drum approximately 15,000 pages at one page per job; BU-200CL belt and WT-200CL waste box approximately 50,000 A4/Letter pages under stated conditions.

Electrical edition and setup

Exact unit 16.1 × 18.3 × 9.8 in., with 41.9 lb original unit weight rather than the 48.5 lb carton. Actual brochure specifies 120 VAC ±10%, 50/60 Hz; surviving product says 120 V, 60 Hz. Leave top-loading toner, rear-output, manual-feed, cassette, cable and service access; verify usable original software for the intended computers.
