A useful fit for

Shared color printing that benefits from two included paper cassettes and a separate multipurpose feed.

The main tradeoff

Taller cabinet; specific mobile protocols and a recommended monthly volume are unestablished.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the included T package print Legal automatically on both sides over Ethernet with 800 sheets of Legal input?

Yes. The actual guide and exact brochure establish the included lower tray, all three Legal-capable feeds and the US Legal output-duplex routine.

Can its single-pass engine scan a two-sided original?

No. Single-pass describes color printing in this dedicated printer; it has no scanner.

Does it provide 1,000 sheets in the documented included configuration?

No. The exact original T package totals 800 sheets.

The T package includes the larger paper arrangement

The Brother HL-4570CDWT is an earlier dedicated color laser printer for an office that needs substantial included paper capacity. Its key distinction is the lower cassette supplied as standard: a 250-sheet main tray, a 500-sheet lower tray and a fifty-sheet multipurpose tray together provide 800 sheets. The deciding tradeoff is the resulting taller cabinet, alongside an older software platform whose actual compatibility needs checking.

Brother marks the exact model discontinued. Its product narrative, precise brochure and operating-guide footnote agree on the included lower tray and automatic duplex unit. Some generic web-table rows instead describe 250 sheets, a one-sheet multipurpose feed or no automatic duplex. Those entries conflict with the model-specific original evidence and are not used to reduce the T package to the ordinary CDW configuration.

Keep the two cassettes useful rather than merely counting them

Both included cassettes support Letter, Legal and A4, with the documented paper and weight conditions. They can hold different everyday sizes or provide a larger reserve of the same stock. Set the correct tray information in the driver and check the actual installed lower cassette when assessing a used or relocated unit. A missing tray changes what an individual printer can deliver even though the original package included it.

The multipurpose tray provides a separate routine for suitable envelopes, labels and other permitted media. Its fifty-sheet plain-paper capacity does not mean fifty envelopes or fifty glossy sheets. The glossy-paper qualification is specifically one sheet at a time through that feed. Match the media, size and source settings to the job.

Automatic printed duplex has a regional size list

The US/Canada operating instructions positively document automatic output duplex for Letter, Legal and Folio. Ordinary A4 input does not add A4 to that regional automatic-duplex list. The Windows native and BR-Script routines both require the appropriate paper, media and binding selections. This is an output feature; there is no scanner, document feeder, copier or fax hardware in the printer.

The maker declares up to thirty one-sided Letter pages per minute in either black or color and twenty-eight for A4. Duplex is separately fourteen printed sides per minute. The term “single-pass” describes its color printing method, rather than a two-sided document scanner. Neither engine speed nor total cassette capacity establishes a numerical recommended monthly workload in the read sources.

Network and secure-print controls need their actual desktop setup

Hi-Speed USB, Fast Ethernet and ordinary 802.11b/g Wi-Fi are included. Choose the cable or wireless arrangement that the actual computer and network can support, then confirm an appropriate driver. The presence of ordinary wireless networking does not establish Wi-Fi Direct, AirPrint or Mopria support. Those specific mobile routes remain unassigned here.

The front USB direct interface supports specified file-printing routines from a compatible flash drive; it is separate from the USB cable connected to a computer. Check supported files and the original qualifications before expecting an arbitrary document to print. The native Secure Print routine instead holds a password-protected job until it is selected and released at the panel. Held data clears after printing or power-off, so it should not be treated as durable document storage.

Four toner cartridges and the taller cabinet affect ownership

The original replacement declarations are TN-310 black at approximately 2,500 pages and each color at 1,500, with TN-315 black at approximately 6,000 and each color at 3,500 under ISO/IEC 19798. Drum, belt and waste box are separate maintenance parts. The read original does not establish the T package’s supplied toner yield or the remaining life of any installed supply.

The exact brochure gives a body 16.1 inches wide, 19.5 deep and 17.6 high. Its 59.5-pound unit-weight declaration is separate from carton weight; the read source does not explicitly establish a loaded-weight basis. Allow tray, rear-path and service clearance. Compare the ordinary HL-4570CDW when lower included capacity is acceptable, or a newer supported color printer when software compatibility or mobile printing is essential.
