Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does the base DW provide Ethernet, automatic Legal duplex and 300 included sheets without buying the T package?
Yes, with a compatible driver. The original establishes 250 plus fifty sheets and Legal automatic duplex; no optional cassette is counted.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the US configuration be matched for A4 automatic duplex from the general speed row?
No. The actual US automatic-duplex media list is Letter, Legal and Folio; A4 ordinary input does not establish that output path.
Explore this need in the finder →Will its wireless connection also scan a feeder stack?
No. It is a print-only unit without document-capture hardware.

The Brother HL-5370DW is a discontinued monochrome laser printer for compatible computers that need ordinary network printing and automatic two-sided Letter or Legal output. It combines a 250-sheet cassette with a fifty-sheet multipurpose tray and includes USB, Ethernet and wireless networking. Its deciding limits are print-only scope, dated wireless/software support and the regional duplex restrictions in the actual US guide.
This is the base DW configuration. The separately identified HL-5370DWT package adds another cassette. A specification or photograph of that taller package must not turn this model’s included three-hundred-sheet supply into 550 sheets.
Choose one network connection
The actual controller table assigns the HL-5370DW thirty-two megabytes of standard memory, Hi-Speed USB 2.0, IEEE 1284 parallel, 10/100 Ethernet and IEEE 802.11b/g wireless. The guide expressly says wired and wireless networking cannot be used simultaneously. Choose the intended infrastructure route during setup rather than planning on both active network interfaces.
Its printer-language support includes PCL6 and BR-Script 3. Confirm the real driver, operating system and network security arrangement before relying on an older printer. A surviving original compatibility table is useful historical evidence, but it does not promise effortless installation on every current computer or access point.
The words “Print/Scan” in a generic mobile-guide title do not add a scanner. This is a printer, with no standalone copy or fax equipment. AirPrint, Mopria and a Wi-Fi Direct peer route are not established by the sources used here; ordinary wireless networking should not be renamed as those features.
Letter and Legal duplex have explicit US support
The original automatic-duplex operation instructs the user to select Duplex, open the duplex settings and choose the duplex unit. The printer then handles both sides automatically. A separate BR-Script procedure also selects printing on both sides. These are real automatic output routines, rather than instructions to turn and reload the stack.
The important regional boundary is paper size. The US media table lists Letter, Legal and Folio for automatic duplex. A4 is supported for ordinary input, and a general speed table includes an A4 duplex rate, but those statements do not override the more specific US media-path table. A4 automatic duplex is therefore not offered as a confirmed US buying match.
Brother declares up to thirty-two one-sided Letter pages per minute or thirty A4 pages per minute from the standard tray. Letter automatic duplex is separately stated as fourteen sides, or seven sheets, per minute. Print complexity, connection and higher-resolution settings can change performance; these are declared figures, not measurements from this review.
Included trays and special media
At the stated twenty-pound paper basis, the normal configuration holds 250 sheets in the standard cassette and fifty in the multipurpose tray. Both routes accommodate appropriate Letter, Legal and A4 sheets. Additional 250-sheet lower trays are options and stay outside the included capacity.
The multipurpose route is useful for changing media without disturbing the ordinary cassette. The guide supports specified envelopes, with up to three loaded under its envelope instructions, and appropriate labels or transparencies under their own limits. Those materials do not inherit automatic-duplex approval from plain paper. Match the driver’s media setting and leave access for the rear and front paper paths.
Supplies and placement for an earlier reference
TN-620 replacement toner is declared at approximately three thousand pages and TN-650 at eight thousand under ISO/IEC 19752. The separate DR-620 drum is declared at approximately twenty-five thousand Letter/A4 pages, with the maintenance discussion qualifying its one-page-per-job basis. A numeric supplied-starter yield and recommended monthly volume remain unknown here.
The guide gives a base body of 14.6 inches wide, 15.1 deep and 9.7 high, and a US/Canada supply branch of 110–120 V, 50/60 Hz. Its 20.9-pound weight lacks a resolved loaded basis, so loaded weight remains unknown. Allow the stated ventilation gap and working clearance. A documented newer mobile printer or an MFP is a more suitable alternative when native phone protocols or document capture are essential.
