Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can this earlier wireless printer handle Letter duplex,250-sheet input and a 2000-page monthly requirement with AirPrint?
Qualifies on its infrastructure Wi-Fi arrangement. The 2000-page figure is the maker’s recommended maximum; 32 ppm is explicitly the separate one-sided Letter rating.

Fails: the exact 2350 standard interfaces are USB and wireless. The shared specification’s Ethernet row applies to other named models.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I scan a signed document with the same printer?
Fails: this is a print-only model. A software or network protocol name mentioning scanning does not supply scanner hardware.

The Brother HL-L2350DW fits a home or small office that wants monochrome printing from a wireless network or a directly connected USB computer. Its 250-sheet cassette and automatic two-sided output cover a useful ordinary document routine. The deciding tradeoff is straightforward: this is a print-only printer. It does not scan originals, make standalone copies or send faxes, so a household needing those jobs should decide on separate equipment or a different printer configuration first.
Brother now marks the exact model discontinued. The specifications remain useful for evaluating an existing machine or an earlier replacement candidate, but they do not establish current stock, condition or support for every present operating system. This review interprets the manufacturer’s documents and does not claim a measured speed, print-quality test or reliability record.
Simplex speed and default duplex mean different things
The exact US support table rates the HL-L2350DW at up to 32 one-sided Letter pages per minute, with a separate 30-ppm figure for A4. The brochure notes that the headline speed uses one-sided printing and requires changing the default setting. Automatic duplex is the default configuration. Someone expecting the one-sided headline while producing two-sided handouts is combining two different operating conditions.
The US automatic-duplex media list includes Letter, Legal and several named Legal/Folio formats. It does not include A4, even though A4 is accepted for ordinary printing and appears in a general duplex-speed row. The actual media list determines the supported US paper choice here. Choose the correct size and suitable plain, thin or recycled stock rather than treating every sheet accepted by the printer as duplex media.
A full cassette and an occasional-feed slot
The main cassette holds up to 250 sheets on Brother’s specified 20 lb plain-paper basis, including Letter, Legal and A4. That is the normal included capacity. The separate manual slot takes one suitable sheet at a time, including envelopes and selected heavier media. It is useful for occasional special jobs, but it does not turn the printer into a machine with a second full tray.
Match the driver’s media setting to the stock and allow space for the paper path and tray access. The closed body is approximately 14.0 in. wide, 14.2 in. deep and 7.2 in. high. Those dimensions help compare equipment footprints; they do not describe the clearance needed to load Legal paper, open covers or replace consumables.
Choose the actual connection arrangement
The exact standard interfaces are Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and wireless networking, with infrastructure Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct documented. The shared support table includes Ethernet for other named printers, including the 2370 family, but that does not add an Ethernet socket to the 2350. If a printer must plug directly into an office switch, this configuration fails that requirement.
The US product page positively lists AirPrint and Mopria. Use them through an appropriate wireless network with a compatible mobile device; the USB desktop arrangement does not inherit a mobile network service. Wi-Fi Direct is a separate documented peer connection, rather than another name for the ordinary router connection. Check the exact software and device requirements before relying on a particular workflow.
Monthly guidance and replacement supplies
Brother recommends up to 2000 printed pages per month and separately lists a maximum monthly duty cycle of 15000. The larger figure is a durability comparison limit, not the recommended routine workload. A requirement above 2000 pages per month therefore needs another documented recommendation rather than an inference from the printer’s maximum rating or speed.
The US package includes an approximately 700-page starter toner under ISO/IEC 19752. The brochure names TN-730 and TN-760 replacements with approximately 1200- and 3000-page declarations, plus a separate DR-730 drum whose approximate 12000-page life depends on use. These are manufacturer yield statements, not a remaining-life assessment or current cost estimate. Keep this model for a compatible, printing-focused routine; select a scanner-equipped model or an Ethernet-equipped variant when those are the deciding needs.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Exact US support gives up to 32 one-sided Letter ppm and 30 A4 ppm. Default duplex and its separately published sides/sheets rating must not be combined with the simplex headline.
Paper handling
Included cassette capacity is up to 250 sheets of 20 lb plain paper, including Letter, Legal and A4. The manual slot accepts one suitable sheet or envelope. The US automatic-duplex media list names Letter, Legal, Folio, Mexico Legal and India Legal; A4 simplex support does not extend that list.
Computer and mobile connections
Included USB, 802.11b/g/n infrastructure Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct are documented. Ethernet belongs only to the named 2370/2379 branches. AirPrint and Mopria are positive on the exact US product page; the original brochure also displays the Mopria logo.
Supplies and declared yields
The US package has an approximately 700-page starter under ISO/IEC 19752. TN-730 and TN-760 replacement declarations are approximately 1200 and 3000 pages. DR-730 is a separate drum with an approximate 12000-page declaration affected by use.
Electrical edition and setup
The US edition uses 110–120 V AC, 50/60 Hz. The body measures 14.0 × 14.2 × 7.2 in. and weighs 15.9 lb with supplies. Allow tray and service clearance. The recommended maximum of 2000 pages per month differs from the 15000-page maximum duty cycle.
