HL-L2360DWIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

A small office that wants a compact wired-network printer alongside a documented wireless option.

The main tradeoff

It is print-only, and its USA automatic-duplex size list is narrower than its ordinary paper-input list.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can an earlier Ethernet monochrome printer duplex Letter at a stated 32 ppm and hold 250 sheets?

Qualifies: Ethernet and Letter duplex are documented for HL-L2360DW. The 32 ppm criterion is explicitly one-sided Letter speed; duplex has a separate lower rating.

Can I require 3000 pages per month within its recommended volume?

Fails: the maker recommends 250–2000 pages per month. The 10000-page duty cycle does not satisfy a 3000-page recommended-volume requirement.

Can a USB desktop connection satisfy an AirPrint requirement?

Fails in this arrangement: AirPrint is a documented network workflow, not a function supplied through the local USB cable.

A compact model with an actual Ethernet port

The Brother HL-L2360DW suits a small office that needs monochrome documents from a compact network printer. It combines a 250-sheet cassette, automatic two-sided printing and a choice of USB, Ethernet or wireless connections. The Ethernet port is a useful exact-model distinction within a family of similar-looking printers.

Brother marks this model discontinued, so this is an earlier reference for an existing installation or an older package whose condition has been checked. It is print-only. Network protocol names containing the word “Scan” on a generic product table do not establish a scanner, flatbed or document feeder.

Choose the connection around the computers

The built-in 10/100 Ethernet interface supports a wired network route. That can be useful where the intended printer location already has a suitable network cable and several compatible computers need access. A local USB connection instead creates a direct computer-to-printer arrangement; it should not inherit mobile features from a separate network setup.

The model also has 802.11b/g/n infrastructure Wi-Fi and a separately documented Wi-Fi Direct option. The exact product page positively lists AirPrint for its wireless-network workflow. The page’s historical Google Cloud Print reference is not a promise that the retired service works today. We do not assign Mopria merely because a newer neighboring printer supports it.

Before using an older printer with a new computer, check the actual driver and the required print options. The original support table lists contemporary Windows and OS X versions and identifies PCL6 for HL-L2360DW. That language support is a printer feature; it does not establish universal compatibility with every later system or application.

Paper size and two-sided output stay together

The included cassette holds up to 250 sheets of 20 lb plain paper. Letter, Legal and A4 appear in its ordinary input list. The one-sheet manual feed is a separate routine for suitable envelopes, labels, letterhead and heavier stock. Its rear paper exit provides the documented straight-through path when the relevant media instructions call for it.

The USA automatic-duplex table lists Letter, Legal and Folio. A4 appears in the ordinary input list but not in that exact regional duplex list. An A4 speed reference elsewhere in the family material cannot replace this paper restriction when automatic A4 duplex is essential. Envelopes are also not a supported automatic-duplex medium.

The manual slot does not turn the normal cassette into a larger loaded-paper configuration. For a minimum input requirement, use 250 included sheets on the stated plain-paper basis. If a longer unattended job needs a larger cassette arrangement, select a printer whose actual included package provides it.

Use the right speed and workload figures

Brother declares up to 32 one-sided Letter pages per minute and 30 A4 pages per minute. Automatic duplex is separately rated at 15 sides per minute, or 7.5 physical sheets per minute. These are manufacturer declarations rather than our own timed tests. The document, driver and network conditions can affect output.

The recommended monthly range is 250–2000 pages. The separate 10000-page maximum duty cycle is a comparison of designed durability, not the recommended routine workload. If 3000 pages per month is an ongoing requirement, that larger duty number does not make this an established fit.

Allow for consumables and access

The listed original package contains starter toner around 700 pages and a DR630 drum around 12000 pages under the maker’s conditions. The support reference lists TN630 and TN660 replacement toner at approximately 1200 and 2600 pages respectively. Toner and drum are separate items; replacement yield is not proof of remaining life in a used printer.

The body measures 14 × 14.2 × 7.2 in. and weighs 15 lb, with the USA support table specifying 110–120 V AC. Leave room for the manual feed, rear exit, cables and servicing. Choose this model for its documented compact network-printing arrangement. Choose a true multifunction model when scanning or copying must happen at the printer.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Maker maximum 32 one-sided Letter ppm, 30 A4 ppm. Duplex is separately 15 sides/minute or 7.5 sheets/minute; it is not 32 two-sided sheets/minute.

Paper handling

Included cassette holds 250 sheets of 20 lb plain paper, including Letter/Legal/A4. Manual feed is one sheet. USA automatic duplex lists Letter/Legal/Folio, not A4.

Computer and mobile connections

Exact model has 10/100 Ethernet, USB, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct. AirPrint is positively listed for the network workflow. The old Google Cloud Print listing is historical, not a current service promise.

Supplies and declared yields

Included starter toner is approximately 700 pages and the separate DR630 drum approximately 12000. Support lists TN630 1200-page and TN660 2600-page replacements under the maker’s measurement basis.

Software and support

Original support lists historical Windows and OS X versions. Verify current exact-driver availability; PCL6 belongs to this exact variant and does not create a scanner.
