HL-L2370DWIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible small-office network needing monochrome duplex output with a 2,000-page recommended monthly maximum.

The main tradeoff

The ordinary model includes about 700 starter pages; the XL carton’s extra toner and loaded weight do not apply.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can an Ethernet desktop print monochrome Legal duplex with 250 included sheets at a 2,000-page monthly requirement?

Qualifies with compatible printer software and suitable paper. Included Ethernet, US Legal automatic duplex, 250-sheet input and the exact recommended monthly maximum support this arrangement.

Does the 15,000-page duty declaration qualify a recurring 10,000-page monthly workload?

Fails: the exact recommended monthly maximum is 2,000 pages. Maximum duty is a different declaration and does not replace it.

Can Brother iPrint&Scan turn this printer into a color scanner?

Fails: this exact model has no scanner. App branding does not supply a flatbed or document feeder.

The ordinary model is a network printer

The Brother HL-L2370DW is a discontinued monochrome laser printer with USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Its standard 250-sheet cassette and automatic print duplex can fit a compatible small-office document routine. The exact ordinary model should be distinguished from HL-L2370DWXL: the shared specification covers both, but their supplied toner and loaded weights are different.

This is a print-only machine. A mobile app called iPrint& Scan or a generic protocol field mentioning scanning does not add a scanner, copier or fax. Someone needing original capture should assess a model with actual document hardware. The useful questions here concern network printing, supported paper sizes, workload and the exact carton rather than imagined multifunction features.

Ethernet is genuinely included

The exact interface list includes Hi-Speed USB, 10/100 Ethernet and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. Ethernet is useful when the printer should stay on a wired office network rather than depend on a desktop sharing it or a wireless link. The shared guide's other models do not all have that same wired interface, so the exact HL-L2370DW branch is important.

AirPrint and Mopria printing are positively listed on the exact product record. They are recorded for an ordinary wireless-network arrangement, with Wi-Fi Direct kept as a separate peer-printing route. Native desktop software offers its own settings and original compatibility conditions. Administrator authentication or network security is not treated as evidence of a PIN-held print-job release routine.

Paper capacity and regional duplex support

The cassette holds up to 250 sheets on the stated 20 lb / 80 g/m² plain-paper basis. The manual slot handles one suitable sheet or envelope at a time. Documented ordinary input includes Letter, Legal and A4, while different media need the appropriate source and handling settings. The single-sheet slot is not another stack tray to inflate the included capacity.

The US automatic duplex list is Letter, Legal, Folio, Mexico Legal and India Legal. A4 ordinary input and a generic A4 duplex-speed row do not override that specific regional media list. Native print options explain selecting two-sided binding and the appropriate paper source. Use the actual job's paper size and stock rather than assuming all accepted simplex media can take the automatic duplex path.

Read the speed and volume units

The US model branch rates one-sided printing up to 36 Letter or 34 A4 pages per minute. Automatic Letter duplex is separately up to seventeen sides, or 8.5 sheets, per minute. The brochure qualifies the headline as one-sided printing requiring the stated change from the default setting. These are manufacturer declarations, not measured office throughput or 36 completed duplex sheets per minute.

The recommended monthly maximum is 2,000 pages. The 15,000-page maximum duty figure is a separate durability-comparison declaration, not the recommended recurring workload. An office expecting a regular 10,000-page month should not qualify the printer by substituting the larger number. Also check the intended computer against compatible drivers rather than assuming a historical operating-system list covers every later release.

Starter toner is different from the XL carton

The ordinary model's preinstalled toner is approximately 700 pages. Replacement TN-730 is approximately 1,200 pages, TN-760 approximately 3,000 and exact-compatible TN-770 approximately 4,500 under ISO/IEC 19752. The XL carton's approximately 7,500 total toner pages are not assigned to the ordinary model. The DR-730 drum is a separate maintenance item, declared around 12,000 pages at one page per job under its conditions.

The US power range is 110–120 VAC, 50/60 Hz. The body measures 14.0 × 14.2 × 7.2 inches and weighs 15.9 lb with supplies; XL is separately 17.1 lb. Leave loading, rear-output, cable and service space. These source figures do not establish a used unit's remaining life, current supply costs or present stock. Choose it for compatible network monochrome work when its real standard capacity and recommended workload fit.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Up to 36 one-sided Letter or 34 A4 ppm. Letter automatic duplex is separately up to 17 sides / 8.5 sheets per minute. Headline speed requires the stated one-sided mode; recommended monthly maximum 2,000 is separate from 15,000 maximum duty.

Paper handling

250-sheet cassette at stated 20 lb / 80 g/m² basis plus one-sheet manual slot. Letter, Legal and A4 ordinary input is documented. US automatic duplex list is Letter, Legal, Folio, Mexico Legal and India Legal; A4 ordinary input and generic speed rows do not establish US A4 duplex.

Computer and mobile connections

Included Hi-Speed USB, 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n ordinary Wi-Fi and separate Wi-Fi Direct. AirPrint and Mopria are exact product printing features. Generic protocol or app text mentioning scan does not add scanner hardware. No native PIN-release capability is established.

Supplies and declared yields

Ordinary HL-L2370DW preinstalled toner approximately 700 pages. TN-730 approximately 1,200, TN-760 approximately 3,000 and exact-compatible TN-770 approximately 4,500 under ISO/IEC 19752. DR-730 drum approximately 12,000 pages at one page per job. XL carton’s 7,500 total toner pages are excluded.

Electrical edition and setup

Discontinued exact ordinary model. US 110–120 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Body 14.0 × 14.2 × 7.2 in. and 15.9 lb with supplies, distinct from XL’s 17.1 lb. Leave manual-feed, rear-output, cable and service access; confirm compatible software for the intended computer.
