The Brother HL-L5200DWT is a discontinued monochrome laser printer supplied with an LT-6500 lower tray. Its 250-sheet main cassette and 520-sheet lower cassette combine with a 50-sheet multipurpose input for 820 standard sheets. This is a different supplied configuration from ordinary HL-L5200DW, with a different closed height and loaded weight.

The useful fit is a compatible office that wants two paper stocks or sizes loaded alongside an MP path for appropriate special media. USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi provide native printing arrangements, while four-digit protected-job release can support a compatible desktop routine. It is still a dedicated printer rather than a scanner, copier or fax.

770 cassette sheets plus 50 MP sheets

The product's 770-sheet cassette entry and 820-sheet total describe different parts of the same configuration. Adding 250 and 520 gives 770 in the two cassettes; the MP tray supplies the other fifty on the declared 20 lb /80 g/m² plain-paper basis. The original media ranges establish Letter, Legal and A4 input in those paths, with appropriate tray settings.

The 1,340-sheet total requires another optional tray. The exact T guide limits additional lower-tray installation to one specified 250- or 520-sheet unit. Optional expansion does not satisfy an included-capacity requirement and also changes installation and loading access. MP envelope capacity is separately up to ten suitable envelopes, rather than fifty of every medium.

US duplex support and output rates

The specific US automatic print-duplex list includes Letter, Legal, Mexico Legal, India Legal and Folio. A4 ordinary input or a generic A4 duplex-speed label is not substituted for that regional media list. Correct binding, source and suitable paper remain part of the native duplex setup.

The exact original rates one-sided Letter output up to 42 ppm and A4 up to 40 ppm. Automatic Letter duplex is separately up to twenty sides, or ten sheets, per minute. These different modes and units are manufacturer declarations rather than personal timing results. The recommended monthly maximum is 3,500 pages;50,000 pages is the separate maximum duty figure and should not replace the recommendation for recurring work.

Release a native protected job at the machine

The Windows Secure Print operation uses a separate four-digit password for each document and releases the selected stored job at the panel. That is a specific native driver routine, distinct from general network security, user restrictions or a mobile printing protocol. Compatible software and the intended computer's operating-system support should be checked for this earlier platform.

Hi-Speed USB, 10/100 Ethernet and ordinary 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi are included. AirPrint and Mopria printing are separately documented for an ordinary wireless-network arrangement, with Wi-Fi Direct as a distinct peer route. A phone app is not automatically credited with every native held-job control. None of those connections provides document-capture hardware.

Supplies and the complete installation

The exact carton includes toner declared around 3,000 pages. TN-820 replacement toner is approximately 3,000 pages and TN-850 approximately 8,000 under ISO/IEC 19752. The separate DR-820 drum is approximately 30,000 pages at one page per job or 50,000 at three pages per job under its conditions. These are source declarations rather than current running costs or remaining-life estimates for a particular machine.

The US edition specifies 110–120 VAC,50/60 Hz. The original exact T drawing and weight entry give 14.7 × 15.3 × 15.2 inches and 32.1 lb with supplies, rather than the ordinary model's 10.0-inch height and 23.5 lb. Leave tray-loading, rear-output, cable and service space beyond the closed body. Choose the complete T configuration when its verified included paper capacity and compatible monochrome controls justify the larger cabinet.
