HL-L8360CDWTIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible color workgroup wanting separate loaded paper stocks, Gigabit networking and native four-digit print-job release.

The main tradeoff

The T configuration is taller and heavier than CDW; 1,300 sheets still requires another optional tray, and no scanner is included.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can native Ethernet printing provide color Legal duplex, four-digit panel release and 800 included sheets at 4,000 monthly pages?

Qualifies with compatible Windows driver and suitable paper. This exact T carton includes the lower tray; the standard total is 800 sheets. US Legal duplex and the recommended monthly maximum of 4,000 are documented.

Does the ordinary T carton include the full 1,300-sheet expansion?

Fails: 800 sheets are included. Reaching 1,300 requires an additional optional tray.

Can the complete T configuration fit a strict 13-inch closed-height limit?

Fails: with its included lower tray the exact configuration is 17.5 inches high. The shorter CDW body is a different configuration.

The included lower tray is the reason for the T configuration

The Brother HL-L8360CDWT is a discontinued color laser printer supplied with an LT-340CL 500-sheet lower tray. Combined with its 250-sheet main cassette and 50-sheet MP tray, that makes 800 standard input sheets. The T suffix therefore changes the actual carton and installation, rather than simply describing an expansion that a buyer might add later.

It can fit a compatible workgroup that wants two paper stocks or sizes ready alongside a separate MP input. This remains a dedicated printer, with no scanner, copier or fax. A direct USB file-printing port or an app name does not add document-capture hardware. The relevant choices are the included trays, color output, native job controls and the space needed for the complete configuration.

Keep the capacity arithmetic tied to the exact carton

The two cassettes contribute 250 and 500 sheets, while the MP tray adds fifty on the maker's stated 20 lb / 80 g/m² plain-paper basis. Documented Letter, Legal and A4 input is supported in those paths. The product's 750-sheet cassette figure and 800-sheet total are therefore consistent when the MP tray is accounted for, rather than competing definitions of one tray.

Reaching 1,300 sheets needs another optional tray. The exact support table also limits this T configuration to one additional specified lower tray. Optional expansion should not satisfy an included-capacity requirement. It also changes access and installation, so loading several paper stocks should be considered as a physical office routine, not just a larger number in a specification.

Regional duplex sizes and real speed units

The US automatic print-duplex list is Letter, Legal, Folio and Mexico Legal. A4 ordinary input does not by itself qualify automatic A4 duplex. Suitable paper type, weight, source and binding settings still matter. The native driver is the appropriate place to configure that document rather than expecting every phone app to expose identical controls.

Both color and monochrome one-sided output are rated up to 33 Letter or 31 A4 pages per minute. Automatic Letter duplex is separately up to fourteen sides, or seven sheets, per minute. These manufacturer declarations do not mean 33 completed duplex sheets per minute. The recommended monthly maximum is 4,000 pages, separate from the 60,000-page maximum duty declaration.

Protected native jobs and mobile printing

The original Windows Secure Print instructions explicitly distinguish the CDW/CDWT touchscreen route. They set a separate four-digit password for each document, then select the user and job under Functions and Secure Print at the panel. Stored data clears after printing and when power is turned off. This is a concrete protected-job routine, separate from NFC badge authentication or administrator restrictions.

USB, Gigabit Ethernet and ordinary Wi-Fi provide compatible native printing arrangements. Gigabit operation requires suitable network devices and cabling. AirPrint and Mopria are separately documented for network mobile printing, with Wi-Fi Direct as a peer arrangement. Historical OS and cloud-service lists are not universal promises for later software or continuing third-party service operation.

Supplies and the complete cabinet

The included toner declaration is approximately 3,000 black and 1,800 each cyan, magenta and yellow pages. TN-431 replacements match those figures; TN-433 is approximately 4,500 black and 4,000 each color, while exact-compatible TN-436 is approximately 6,500 each under ISO/IEC 19798. The drum, belt and waste box are separate maintenance items, with declared lives affected by job length and use rather than a single toner-yield number.

The US configuration specifies 110–120 VAC, 50/60 Hz. With the included lower tray, it measures 17.4 × 19.5 × 17.5 inches and weighs 62.7 lb with supplies. The shorter 12.3-inch, 48.1 lb CDW body is not the complete T configuration. Leave loading, cable, rear-output and service space beyond the closed body. Choose it when the verified included paper arrangement and compatible color-printing controls justify that larger installation.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Up to 33 one-sided Letter or 31 A4 ppm in color and monochrome. Letter automatic duplex is separately up to 14 sides / 7 sheets per minute. Recommended monthly maximum 4,000 is separate from 60,000 maximum duty; one-sided speed is not completed duplex sheets.

Paper handling

Exact CDWT carton includes 250-sheet main cassette and LT-340CL 500-sheet lower tray, plus 50-sheet MP tray: 800 sheets on stated 20 lb / 80 g/m² plain paper for documented Letter, Legal and A4 input. US automatic duplex is Letter, Legal, Folio and Mexico Legal. Additional expansion to 1,300 requires another optional tray.

Computer and mobile connections

Included Hi-Speed USB, Gigabit Ethernet and ordinary 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi; separate Wi-Fi Direct, AirPrint and Mopria printing. NFC badge/authentication features differ from native four-digit per-document Secure Print. Front USB direct-file printing does not supply scanner hardware.

Supplies and declared yields

Included toner approximately 3,000 black and 1,800 each CMY pages. TN-431 replacements match those yields; TN-433 approximately 4,500 black/4,000 each CMY; exact-compatible TN-436 approximately 6,500 each color under ISO/IEC 19798. Drum, belt and waste box are separate; their declared lives vary with job length and use.

Electrical edition and setup

Discontinued exact T configuration. US 110–120 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Loaded body including lower tray is 17.4 × 19.5 × 17.5 in. and 62.7 lb, not CDW’s 12.3-in. height or 48.1 lb. Leave tray loading, cable, rear path and service space; historical cloud destinations require separate current compatibility checks.
