MFC-L2707DWIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible desktop office that needs monochrome output and occasional simplex Legal capture over Ethernet, Wi-Fi or USB.

The main tradeoff

The glass is shorter than Legal and automatic scan duplex belongs to MFC-L2740DW, not this exact model.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can an Ethernet desktop print Legal duplex and color-scan Legal through the feeder, with 250 included sheets?

Qualifies with compatible native printer/scanner software and suitable originals. The feeder capture is simplex; Legal print duplex is a separate automatic routine. Analog fax requires a suitable phone connection.

Can its feeder automatically scan both sides like MFC-L2740DW?

Fails: the exact family automatic duplex scanning list assigns that function to MFC-L2740DW. MFC-L2707DW has the documented simplex feeder.

Can a full Legal original stay on the glass?

Fails: the glass is limited to 11.8 inches in length. A suitable Legal original uses the feeder, not a Legal-size flatbed.

A network all-in-one with a simplex original path

The Brother MFC-L2707DW is an earlier monochrome laser all-in-one with color scanning, copying and analog fax. It includes USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi, so a compatible office desktop has several standard connection choices. Its document handling is more limited than a shared family name might suggest: the 35-sheet feeder captures one side, while automatic two-sided scanner features belong to the specified MFC-L2740DW branch.

The useful fit is ordinary monochrome office work with occasional suitable Legal originals. A buyer who needs a wired scanner should distinguish this included Ethernet interface from models requiring optional networking. At the same time, a historical computer-support table does not promise full compatibility with every later operating system or every Server installation.

Legal feeder, shorter glass

The exact document-size table allows ADF originals through 8.5 × 14 inches. Its 35-sheet capacity uses the stated ordinary-original conditions. The glass reaches only 8.5 × 11.8 inches, covering appropriate Letter and A4 work rather than a full Legal page. Choose the feeder for suitable Legal loose sheets and the glass for appropriate shorter originals that should remain stationary.

The automatic two-sided scan, copy-input and fax-sending qualifications explicitly identify MFC-L2740DW. They do not apply to MFC-L2707DW. Manually turning an original is possible as a handling task, but is not an automatic duplex feeder or a single-pass mechanism. Color capture is independently documented, while printing and copying remain monochrome.

Automatic output duplex and paper capacity

The main cassette holds up to 250 sheets of the specified 20 lb / 80 g/m² plain paper. A separate manual feed accepts one suitable sheet or envelope at a time. Letter, Legal and A4 ordinary input is documented, but the US automatic print-duplex list is Letter, Legal and Folio. Paper acceptance in the cassette does not automatically give every size an automatic two-sided path.

The exact US model branch rates one-sided Letter printing up to 30 ppm. Automatic Letter duplex is separately up to fifteen sides, or 7.5 sheets, per minute. These manufacturer declarations use different modes and units, rather than representing completed duplex sheets at the simplex headline. A recurring monthly recommendation is not established by the exact sources read here, so no neighboring model's workload figure is substituted.

Native scanning depends on the computer arrangement

The original guide's scan-to-file routine names the destination computer when connected over a network. Changing settings requires the compatible ControlCenter software, and the original computer table distinguishes desktop scanning from Server network-printing arrangements. USB, Ethernet and ordinary Wi-Fi are therefore recorded with the appropriate compatible native software rather than as abstract interchangeable sockets.

Wi-Fi Direct is listed separately in the interface specification. That does not transfer every ordinary-network computer scan control into a peer-mobile arrangement. Similarly, generic network protocol names do not establish AirPrint, Mopria or PIN-held print release without exact supporting evidence. Analog fax uses its own suitable telephone connection; a network cable alone does not provide that line.

Supplies, power and installation checks

The USA/Canada guide lists TN-630 replacement toner at approximately 1,200 pages and TN-660 at approximately 2,600 under ISO/IEC 19752. The DR-630 drum is separate, with an approximately 12,000-page declaration at one page per job under its conditions. An exact inbox toner yield is not established for this configuration and is not borrowed from another model in the family.

The US-family source confirms 110–120 VAC, 50/60 Hz and 24.9 lb with supplies for MFC-L2707DW. Numerical cabinet dimensions are not inferred from an unread embedded diagram. Check the actual machine, feeder and cover movement, paper loading and service clearance alongside compatible drivers. The source supports a practical network monochrome routine with simplex Legal capture, with its scanner and regional print-duplex limits kept explicit.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Exact MFC-L2707DW US branch rates up to 30 one-sided Letter ppm. Automatic Letter duplex is separately up to 15 sides / 7.5 sheets per minute. Recommended recurring monthly volume remains unknown in the read exact sources.

Paper handling

250-sheet cassette on 20 lb / 80 g/m² plain paper, plus one-sheet manual feed. Letter, Legal and A4 ordinary input is documented. US automatic print duplex supports Letter, Legal and Folio. No expanded tray total is assigned from neighboring models.

Scanning arrangement

35-sheet simplex ADF accepts originals through 8.5 × 14 in.; glass maximum is 8.5 × 11.8 in. Automatic two-sided scanner/fax sending/copy lists explicitly name MFC-L2740DW only. MFC-L2707DW color capture does not produce color printing or automatic scan duplex.

Computer and mobile connections

Included Hi-Speed USB, 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n ordinary Wi-Fi and separately listed Wi-Fi Direct. Exact computer table supports compatible desktop scanning on standard USB/network connections, with Server network-print-only restrictions. No AirPrint, Mopria or protected-job release capability is assigned solely from generic network protocols.

Supplies and declared yields

Original US guide lists TN-630 approximately 1,200 pages and TN-660 approximately 2,600 under ISO/IEC 19752, plus separate DR-630 drum approximately 12,000 pages at one page per job. Exact inbox yield is unestablished for this configuration and is not borrowed from a neighboring model.

Electrical edition and setup

US-family specification confirms 110–120 VAC, 50/60 Hz and 24.9 lb with supplies for MFC-L2707DW. Numerical body dimensions are not assigned from an unread embedded diagram. Earlier original-platform reference; no invented discontinued notice. Check compatible drivers and the actual cover, feeder and service clearance.
