Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can it combine single-pass Legal color capture on Ethernet, Legal glass, native PIN release and a 6,000-page monthly routine?
Yes, with the compatible native driver/scanner and separate telephone setup if fax is used. The exact sources support both Legal document routes, native four-digit release and the recommended monthly maximum.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the 80,000-page maximum duty qualify a sustained 7,000-page monthly requirement?
No. The documented recommendation is up to 6,000 pages per month, separate from maximum duty.
Explore this need in the finder →Does it include at least 500 sheets of Letter input without extra trays?
No. The included cassette and multipurpose feed total 300 ordinary sheets. Lower and tower trays are optional hardware.

The Brother MFC-L9570CDW is a discontinued US color laser reference for a compatible workgroup that needs printing, copying, scanning and fax. Its most useful combination is an eighty-sheet single-pass duplex feeder, Legal-size glass and an original native password-release routine. The deciding workload boundary is the maker’s recommendation of up to 6,000 printed pages per month. Its much higher maximum-duty number is a separate comparison, not that routine recommendation.
The seven-inch touchscreen and one gigabyte of memory belong to this exact model. Its independent operating guide names MFC-L9570CDW alone on the cover; the MFC-L8900 guide is not used as a substitute for its functions or included package.
Single-pass capture and Legal glass are separately established
The exact brochure positively describes single-pass copy, scan and fax input. The original feeder supports suitable originals up to 8.5 by 14 inches, including Legal, with its eighty-sheet declaration based on the stated ordinary paper. Its glass independently accepts Legal length, so a requirement for both a flatbed and feeder at that size is supported.
The actual TWAIN computer routine selects the local or LAN scanner, chooses the document size and enables two-sided capture through the feeder. The original notes that automatic two-sided capture uses the feeder and cannot use PreScan preview. Select the correct binding edge so the saved reverse faces have the right orientation.
The published scan maximum is up to 104 images per minute for duplex and fifty-two for simplex. These are scanner figures, not printed pages per minute. The brochure uses Letter test originals at 200 dpi with advanced features off, while the product page gives a 300-dpi condition. Those different source conditions are retained rather than treated as one measured result.
Count 300 included sheets before considering expansion
The standard print input is a 250-sheet cassette plus a fifty-sheet multipurpose tray. Both accept ordinary Letter, Legal and A4 within their stated ranges, providing 300 ordinary sheets. Optional lower trays and the tower arrangement are separately purchased hardware; an advertised 2,380-sheet tower configuration does not become included capacity.
The US automatic print-duplex table lists Letter, Legal, Folio and Mexico Legal. Ordinary A4 input remains distinct from that regional duplex list. Glossy stock has a single-sheet multipurpose restriction, while suitable envelopes use the documented multipurpose routine and its separate envelope limit. Media type and paper-size settings must match the actual feed.
The original qualifies print output at up to thirty-three one-sided Letter pages per minute in color or monochrome, separately from thirty-one A4 pages per minute. Duplex is fourteen printed sides, or seven completed sheets, per minute. The one-sided headline requires changing the default two-sided print setting.
Native, mobile and administrative workflows differ
Included computer connections are Hi-Speed USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet and ordinary IEEE 802.11b/g/n wireless. The original computer-function table supports applicable desktop printing and scanning through those routes, while the server branches are printing only. Confirm the exact driver and operating system before relying on the whole multifunction workflow.
For a native protected job, the Windows driver assigns a separate four-digit password to each document. The user selects Secure Print, user and job on the touchscreen and enters the password to collect it. Data clears after printing or power-off. That actual routine is distinct from badge authentication, directory permissions or licensed extensions.
AirPrint, Mopria and Wi-Fi Direct are positively listed, but their mobile printing plans do not borrow native scanner or protected-job controls. The front and rear host USB sockets also serve different file or card-reader functions from the computer USB connection. Fax follows the separate documented telephone setup, rather than being a feature of the Ethernet socket.
Workload, supplies and placement complete the decision
The exact product recommends up to 6,000 pages per month and separately declares an 80,000-page maximum duty. A workgroup expecting a sustained higher routine should compare an appropriately recommended model even if its expected volume is below maximum duty.
Each supplied TN-436 color has an approximate 6,500-page declaration; TN-439 replacements are approximately 9,000 per color under ISO/IEC 19798. The DR-433CL drum is approximately 50,000 pages at three pages per job or 30,000 at one. BU-330CL is approximately 50,000 at one page per job or 130,000 at three, while the waste box has its own approximate 50,000-page declaration.
The visually checked original body diagram gives approximately 19.5 inches wide, 20.7 deep and 21.6 high, with a loaded weight of 65.4 pounds and 110–120 V AC power. Allow document-cover and maintenance access. A smaller documented MFP is the sensible comparison when the larger feeder and workgroup workflow are unnecessary.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Up to 33 one-sided Letter / 31 A4 ppm in both color and monochrome. Duplex up to 14 sides / 7 sheets per minute. Recommended up to 6,000 printed pages/month; 80,000 maximum duty is separate. One-sided headline requires changing default duplex setting.
Paper handling
Included 250-sheet cassette + 50-sheet multipurpose feed, 20 lb / 80 g/m². Ordinary Letter/Legal/A4. US automatic print duplex Letter/Legal/Folio/Mexico Legal. Optional lower/tower trays excluded. Glossy stock single sheet in multipurpose feed; envelopes follow separate limit/routine.
Scanning arrangement
80-sheet single-pass duplex ADF and glass both accept Legal. Actual TWAIN local/LAN computer routine selects document size and two-sided ADF capture; PreScan cannot preview automatic duplex. Scan declarations up to 104 duplex / 52 simplex ipm: brochure Letter 200 dpi versus product page Letter 300 dpi, advanced features off; conditions differ and are not combined.
Computer and mobile connections
One GB, seven-inch touchscreen. Included USB, Gigabit Ethernet and ordinary wireless. Actual supported desktop computer scan routes; server branches print-only. Separate AirPrint/Mopria and Wi-Fi Direct printing plans do not borrow native four-digit job release or TWAIN capture. Fax uses separate telephone setup.
