Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can LBP622Cdw print duplex Letter color documents and release PIN-held jobs over supported native Ethernet with 250 included Letter sheets?
Yes. Its native UFR II arrangement supports eligible Letter automatic duplex and Secure Print. The exact U.S. standard capacity is 250 Letter sheets at 20 lb Bond, and 2,000 monthly pages falls within the recommended range.
Explore this need in the finder →Can this model scan or copy a stack of originals?
No. LBP622Cdw is a print-only model with neither a scanner glass nor an automatic document feeder.
Explore this need in the finder →Does its included configuration hold at least 300 Letter sheets?
No. The exact U.S. standard capacity is 250 sheets; its separate one-sheet manual slot does not make a 300-sheet supply.

The Canon Color imageCLASS LBP622Cdw, U.S. item 3104C005, is a print-only laser model. It fits an office that needs occasional color documents, standard automatic two-sided output and native PIN-held jobs, without a copier or scanner occupying the top of the machine. Canon recommends 150–2,500 monthly pages.
There is no glass or document feeder. A mobile application or a USB host port does not add scanning hardware. If a workflow includes archiving signed originals or copying a stack, those tasks need a separate device.
250 standard sheets and a single-sheet alternative
The exact U.S. specification gives a 250-sheet Letter capacity at 20 lb Bond. It separately lists a one-sheet manual feed slot. That slot is useful for a supported individual sheet, but it is not a second stack tray or a route to the capacity of a larger family member.
The operating paper table confirms Letter, Legal and A4 in the normal input routes and for native automatic duplex. Load the correct size and specify both size and media type on the machine and in the driver. Paper that physically fits is not necessarily approved for the same two-sided routine.
Media categories matter particularly here. The LBP623/622 table permits duplex with its 106–120 gsm Heavy 1 stock but excludes 121–163 gsm Heavy 2. The separate coated-paper categories have their own duplex approvals, including the listed 151–200 gsm category. Those distinctions do not support a general claim that every heavy sheet through 200 gsm can duplex.
Envelopes cannot use automatic duplex. Canon recommends the drawer for their best print quality and warns that the manual slot can produce skew. Match the actual supported envelope size and loading directions instead of treating the one-sheet slot as the preferred path for every special medium.
Use the exact UFR II driver and LCD controls
USB, Gigabit Ethernet and infrastructure Wi-Fi are available. The exact U.S. model lists UFR II as its standard page-description language. A shared family manual contains PCL and PostScript sections, but its model distinctions do not establish those languages for LBP622Cdw.
For normal computer printing, install the supported driver, open the application’s print dialog, select this printer and set its properties before sending the document. Shared instructions for registering optional cassette equipment do not mean that the larger model’s optional feeder can be attached to this one.
Secure Print is a native held-job procedure. Select Secured Print in Output Method, prepare and send the job, then use Secure Print on the five-line LCD. Select the intended document and enter its matching PIN. Touch-screen multi-selection instructions elsewhere in the family chapter describe a different control panel.
Held jobs use printer memory and expire after the configured deletion period. A queue full of uncollected jobs can affect other printing, so collect or remove them promptly. This is a collection workflow, rather than indefinite storage.
AirPrint uses its own application settings
The actual AirPrint chapter permits a shared LAN, a direct connection, or a USB-connected Mac. Its documented USB minimum is OS X 10.9. Enable the required AirPrint and IPP settings, add the printer on the Mac when needed, then select it in a compatible application.
Available sizes and controls depend on the application. The native driver’s PIN submission and exact duplex-size options are not automatically available in every AirPrint dialog. Mopria and Canon PRINT Business are also listed, but these printing options do not change the machine into a multifunction model.
Starter toner differs substantially from replacement toner
The supplied 054 Black starter is rated for 910 pages, and each supplied cyan, magenta and yellow starter for 680. Standard replacement 054 ratings are 1,500 black and 1,200 for each color; high-capacity 054 H ratings are 3,100 and 2,300 respectively.
The guide uses ISO/IEC 19798, A4 and default print density for those yield declarations. Coverage and actual documents change consumption. Calibration uses toner, and the guide warns that monochrome printing can also consume color toner. Black-only work therefore does not justify assuming the color cartridges will remain untouched.
Allow space beyond the closed body
The one-sided Letter rating is up to 22 ppm for either color or monochrome, while Legal is rated up to 17.9 ppm. These are printer figures, separate from warm-up or first-page time.
The actual guide gives a closed body of 17 by 16½ by 11⅜ inches; the support table rounds it differently. Its 30.9 lb figure explicitly excludes toner, while the support page’s 35.2 lb basis is unclear, so loaded weight remains unestablished here. Leave additional room for paper access, open covers and servicing.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Up to 22 one-sided Letter ppm in color or monochrome, versus 17.9 Legal ppm. These are printing rates, with media, environment and job conditions; there is no scanner.
Paper handling
Exact U.S. headline capacity is 250 Letter sheets at 20 lb Bond. Separate manual slot feeds one sheet. Letter/Legal/A4 native duplex is supported on eligible stock. Envelope printing is recommended from the drawer for optimum quality; manual-slot feeding can skew.
Computer and mobile connections
USB, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi and direct wireless printing are documented. Exact native language is UFR II; AirPrint, Mopria and Canon PRINT Business are listed. Driver and application settings differ.
Supplies and declared yields
Supplied 054 starters: Black 910 pages and C/M/Y 680 each. Replacement 054: Black 1,500 and C/M/Y 1,200; 054 H: Black 3,100 and C/M/Y 2,300. ISO/IEC 19798 A4/default-density basis applies. Calibration and monochrome printing may consume color toner.
Software and support
This is a color print-only model with a five-line LCD. Native Secure Print holds jobs until PIN release or configured deletion, subject to memory. The documented monthly recommendation is 150–2,500 pages; maximum duty is unestablished.
Electrical edition and setup
Actual guide body is 17 by 16½ by 11⅜ inches, differing from support 17.2 by 16.7 by 11.5. Guide 30.9 lb explicitly excludes toner, while support 35.2 lb has unclear footnote basis; loaded weight remains unknown. U.S. 120–127 V, 60 Hz is documented.
