MF632CdwIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

Compatible desktop offices needing color originals and protected color printing within 2,500 recommended monthly pages.

The main tradeoff

No fax or automatic feeder duplex; conflicting generic support-page rows do not add neighboring hardware.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can a compatible Ethernet desktop color-scan one-sided Legal originals while printing color Letter duplex with PIN collection and 150 included Letter sheets?

Yes, using the native driver and registered IPv4 scanning arrangement. Legal capture uses the simplex feeder, whose Legal capacity is thirty; the recommended monthly maximum is 2,500.

Does this exact 632 include fax as its support page’s generic row suggests?

No. The original exact model comparison positively identifies Print/Scan/Copy with fax N/A.

Will it automatically capture both sides like MF634Cdw?

No. The actual exact-model feeder column is simplex; the duplex mechanism belongs to 634.

A color three-function model with a simplex feeder

The Canon Color imageCLASS MF632Cdw is an earlier color laser print/copy/scan reference for a compatible local computer or ordinary office network. It has a 150-sheet cassette, a fifty-sheet ordinary document feeder, automatic print duplex and a five-inch touchscreen. Its deciding limitations are no telephone fax and no automatic capture of both original sides.

Those limits need particular attention because the surviving support page contains generic rows claiming fax and a single-pass duplex feeder. The actual original comparison assigns those functions to MF634Cdw, while the US operating feeder table independently assigns MF632Cdw the ordinary feeder. The exact 1475C011 model remains distinct from its near-identical sibling.

Legal capture is a one-sided feeder routine

The operating feeder specification supports originals through 8.5 by fourteen inches, so suitable Legal pages can feed for capture. Fifty ordinary sheets is the general capacity; a specific footnote limits Legal to thirty. A stack should respect the actual size and load-limit rules rather than the largest marketing number.

The original comparison explicitly calls the 632 feeder simplex. Automatic print duplex does not turn it into a reverse-side scanner. Capturing a two-sided set therefore requires a deliberate manual workflow or another documented model with the necessary input mechanism.

Individual originals can use the glass. The marketing table establishes Letter glass, while the detailed operating table separately gives A4-sized originals; those declarations differ and are retained honestly. Neither establishes a Legal glass. Suitable Legal sheets belong in the feeder, and bound Legal material needs a larger documented surface.

Use the real USB or network scanning setup

Computer capture uses installed scanner software and MF Scan Utility, ScanGear MF or a compatible application. The actual application procedure selects this scanner driver, applies the required settings and returns the image to the application. Some applications may require handling a set one original at a time.

USB scanning requires the software and leaving sleep mode. In Windows, wired or ordinary wireless network scanning first registers the machine in MF Network Scanner Selector. The exact preparation chapter says scanning is unavailable in an IPv6 arrangement and directs the user to IPv4 or USB.

Ethernet is Gigabit, ordinary wireless is 802.11b/g/n, and Wi-Fi Direct is separately documented. The original mobile conditions keep AirPrint or Mopria on a suitable shared network, with a compatible device. AirPrint does not work by sharing the printer through a computer’s USB port. Historical Google Cloud Print mentions are not treated as a present service promise.

Print duplex, protected jobs and the smaller cassette

The actual US paper table marks Letter, Legal and A4 for automatic print duplex. Its support cells are small image icons, so their identities were read against the table legend rather than guessed from plain text that omitted them. Special media has separate source and duplex conditions.

The normal cassette holds 150 suitable sheets. The one-sheet manual feed is useful for an occasional alternate stock, but is not another full stack. The original actually recommends the cassette for suitable envelopes on these smaller models because manual feeding can produce skewed output. Prepare the envelopes and choose the correct size and media type.

Native Secure Print submits a held job from the compatible driver and releases the selected document with its PIN at the panel. Uncollected jobs consume memory and expire after the configured period. Department identification, a Wi-Fi setup PIN and protected document collection are different controls; mobile printing does not automatically expose the native driver’s secure-job routine.

Volume, supplies and physical space

Canon declares nineteen one-sided Letter pages per minute in color or black. The brochure’s two-sided declaration is 11.3 ppm, while the surviving page rounds it to eleven; neither is relabeled as finished sheets. The recommended monthly range is 200–2,500 pages, separately from thirty thousand maximum duty.

The box contains black Cartridge 045 declared at 1,400 pages and cyan, magenta and yellow starters at 690 each. Standard color replacements are declared at 1,300 each; high-capacity replacements differ again. Those ISO/IEC declarations do not establish remaining supplies or current cost.

The detailed original body is 17¾ inches wide, 18⅛ deep and 15¾ high, approximately 48.5 pounds including toner, with 120–127 V, 60 Hz power. Rounded marketing figures differ slightly. Allow the much deeper operating footprint when the drawer and rear cover open. Choose an actual duplex-feeder or fax model when those are essential.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

19 one-sided Letter ppm in black or color. Brochure duplex 11.3 ppm versus web rounded eleven, original unit retained. Recommended monthly 200–2,500 differs from maximum duty 30,000.

Paper handling

150-sheet ordinary cassette plus one-sheet manual feed. Manual slot is not another full paper tray. Exact US table supports Letter/Legal/A4 automatic duplex; exact-size numeric capacity recorded for Letter only. Original recommends cassette envelope feeding for optimum alignment; no automatic envelope duplex.

Scanning arrangement

MF632Cdw simplex feeder, fifty ordinary sheets but thirty Legal, 50–105 g/m² originals through fourteen inches. No automatic input duplex or single-pass capture. Marketing Letter glass and detailed original A4 glass range differ; both remain short of Legal. Color computer capture on installed USB/IPv4 native arrangement.

Computer and mobile connections

1 GB shared, five-inch touchscreen, exact UFR II. USB, Gigabit Ethernet, infrastructure 802.11b/g/n and separate Wi-Fi Direct. Windows network scanner registration and IPv4 required; USB software/wake required. Original exact 632 has no fax despite generic current support-page rows.

Supplies and declared yields

Included Cartridge 045 black 1,400 and CMY starters 690 each, maker ISO/IEC declaration. Standard CMY replacements 1,300 each; high-capacity black 2,800 and CMY 2,200 each. Toner/drum integrated cartridge system; no current cost or remaining-life claim.

Software and support

Native Secure Print: driver Output Method, held document selection and panel PIN; timeout and memory limits apply. Same-network AirPrint/Mopria are separate arrangements without native scanner/PIN inheritance. Retired cloud-service names are not availability claims.

Electrical edition and setup

Detailed original body 17¾ W × 18⅛ D × 15¾ H inches, approximately 48.5 lb including toner; marketing rounds to 17.8 × 18.1 × 15.7 and 48.4 lb. Original US 120–127 V AC, 60 Hz. Open-drawer/manual/rear-cover depth is much greater than closed body.
