Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can D1350 combine Legal glass capture, automatic two-sided Legal feeder capture and duplex Letter monochrome output over supported Ethernet?
Yes. Its actual glass and feeder both reach Legal, and MF Toolbox supplies the two-sided Input Method. Use the supported native Ethernet setup and eligible Letter stock for automatic duplex output. The read sources do not establish single-pass intake.
Explore this need in the finder →Can this exact base model satisfy a built-in Wi-Fi connection requirement?
No supported Wi-Fi operating arrangement is established. The exact standard interfaces are USB and wired 10/100 Ethernet.
Explore this need in the finder →Does its color scanner let it print color documents in color?
No. D1350 is a monochrome laser printer. Color capture and monochrome output are separate capabilities.
Explore this need in the finder →A monochrome office machine with a genuinely Legal-size glass
The Canon imageCLASS D1350 is an earlier monochrome laser multifunction model with printing, copying, color scanning and telephone fax. Its useful distinction is document handling: both the glass and the feeder support Legal originals. That suits an office with long forms that cannot all safely pass through an automatic feeder.
Automatic two-sided output and automatic two-sided feeder capture are documented separately. However, the read originals do not establish a single-pass scanning mechanism. Someone specifically requiring single-pass intake should keep that requirement separate from a general duplex-scanning label.
Match the original stack to its actual capacity
The feeder holds up to 50 Letter originals or 30 Legal originals at 80 gsm. Those are different limits, not one interchangeable 50-sheet claim. Its two-sided original range is 64–105 gsm, while one-sided feeding permits a different lower limit.
Use the glass for suitable books, photographs, fragile material or documents that should not feed. The actual document table allows a booklet up to three-quarters of an inch thick and specifies a glass load limit. Wet correction fluid, staples, creases and curled originals need attention before scanning.
The optical resolution also depends on the route: the manual declares up to 600 by 600 dpi on the glass and 300 by 300 through the feeder. The much larger software-interpolated figure does not replace those optical limits.
Computer scanning requires the native arrangement
D1350 has USB and wired 10/100 Ethernet. Install the exact supported native printer and scanner software for the intended computer. For network capture, register the scanner in MF Network Scan Utility. The guide limits the arrangement to ten connected computers at once; an eleventh destination needs another registration cleared or another computer turned off.
At the machine, select Remote Scanner, then open Canon MF Toolbox on the computer. Choose an appropriate mode, set the source, document size, color and save destination, and start the capture. Input Method selects one-sided or two-sided intake, with a binding-location control for the latter.
The panel can also select a registered computer and scan preset. Close an open MF Toolbox settings screen if it blocks that panel operation. For a multipage PDF, choose the appropriate PDF mode and check page order. Appending pages is limited to an existing PDF created by MF Toolbox.
The rear lever matters for automatic duplex output
The actual paper table permits automatic two-sided output on Letter, Legal and A4 with eligible media. Before printing, set the blue rear paper-size lever correctly: pull for A4 and push for Letter or Legal. Close the sub-output tray, then choose two-sided printing and the intended binding edge in the native driver.
During automatic duplex, a sheet partly exits before being drawn back inside. Leave it alone until the cycle finishes. Manual reverse-side printing is a separate routine using suitable sheets one at a time in the multipurpose tray; it does not make every unsupported medium automatic-duplex stock.
The included cassette and multipurpose tray hold approximately 500 and 50 normal sheets at the stated paper-weight basis. The optional 500-sheet U1 feeder is excluded. Envelopes use the multipurpose tray, with a separate five-envelope limit and no automatic duplex claim.
Fax and computer-assisted mail are different routes
Set up telephone fax by registering sender information, selecting the appropriate receive mode and connecting the phone line. Place the original, choose the destination, confirm it when prompted and start sending. Glass faxing requires capturing each page and then selecting Start Sending.
MF Toolbox Mail attaches a captured file in the computer’s mail application. The series manual reserves direct device-to-email and file-server sending for D1370. Neither the Ethernet port nor a Mail button establishes those direct-send functions on D1350.
Separate supply ratings from workload and fit
The box’s Cartridge 120 Starter is rated for 2,300 sheets, while replacement Cartridge 120 is rated for 5,000. Both manual declarations use ISO/IEC 19752 on A4 at default density. Actual documents and operating conditions change the interval.
Canon declares up to 35 one-sided plain-Letter ppm, with a separate 17 ppm duplex figure. Its 20,000-page maximum monthly duty is not a recommended routine volume. The normal body measures 17¾ inches wide, 18⅝ deep and 18⅜ high, at about 47.2 lb including toner. Allow substantially more room for paper handling, open covers and servicing than those closed-body dimensions suggest.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Up to 35 one-sided plain-Letter ppm and 17 two-sided Letter ppm. Actual scanner speed is separate: 10 color or 29 black-and-white Letter sheets per minute at 300 by 300 dpi.
Paper handling
Standard 500 plus 50 normal sheets at 60–89 gsm, not the optional additional 500. Five envelopes use the multipurpose tray and are not duplex stock. Exact-size input-capacity mapping remains unknown.
Scanning arrangement
Legal glass and Legal feeder; 50 Letter or 30 Legal originals at 80 gsm. Two-sided originals require 64–105 gsm. The actual MF Toolbox Input Method offers one-sided or two-sided capture; single-pass mechanics remain unestablished.
Computer and mobile connections
USB device and 10/100 Ethernet are standard. Built-in Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and mobile protocols are not established by these exact originals.
Supplies and declared yields
Supplied Cartridge 120 Starter is rated 2,300 sheets; replacement Cartridge 120 5,000. Both actual manual declarations use ISO/IEC 19752 on A4 at default density. They are not guaranteed yields for every document.
Software and support
D1350 has telephone fax and color computer capture despite monochrome output. Direct device-to-email and file-server sending belong to D1370 in this series. Department ID management is not proof of PIN-held document release. Maximum duty 20,000 is not a recommended monthly range.
Electrical edition and setup
Actual normal body is 17¾ by 18⅝ by 18⅜ inches and approximately 47.2 lb with toner. Installation space is much larger; optional U1 raises the body. U.S. power is 120–127 V, 60 Hz.
