2335dn (US 110–127V configuration)Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible desktop office workflow needing monochrome Legal duplex output and two-sided color capture.

The main tradeoff

Wi-Fi requires an adapter; the supplied B2335dn lead resolves to the maker’s actual 2335dn model.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the included Ethernet setup print duplex Legal documents and capture both sides of Legal originals with a confirmed 300-sheet input?

Yes, using compatible desktop printing and the documented Scan Manager network capture routine. The specific feeder mechanism remains unestablished.

The primary source identifies the 2335dn

The Dell 2335dn is an earlier monochrome laser MFP with printing, copying, color scanning and fax. Its practical appeal is a wired office workflow with included automatic print duplex and a duplex document feeder. Its limitations include optional wireless and the need to establish a compatible computer installation.

The supplied lead used the name B2335dn, but the actual Dell brochure repeatedly identifies the model as 2335dn. This assessment follows that exact primary-source identity. Check the physical label before treating a similarly written listing as the same machine.

Two-sided capture has an actual computer routine

The 50-sheet DADF handles suitable loose originals. Dell's operating instructions explicitly offer Local PC or Network PC capture, followed by color, duplex and named scan-size selections. Letter, A4 and Legal are included in that routine. This is stronger evidence than a generic duplex label that might describe only printing.

The documented duplex choices let the user handle originals with different back-side orientations. They do not establish whether the hardware captures both sides in one pass or turns the sheet internally. That mechanical distinction remains unconfirmed here.

The document glass is separately specified at 11.5 inches long in the brochure. Letter fits that declared length; a full Legal original needs the feeder. The larger named feeder selections and fax-paper settings do not automatically prove an equally large flatbed capture area.

Use the included paper arrangement

The standard drawer holds 250 suitable ordinary sheets and the multipurpose feeder holds another 50. The exact operating table establishes that ordinary capacity for Letter, Legal and A4. An optional second drawer raises capacity only when it is actually installed.

Automatic print duplex supports those three sizes with suitable ordinary paper. Match the size and type settings to the loaded stock, and verify binding orientation with a short packet. The duplex image-rate declaration is separate from the one-sided Letter page rate.

Envelopes belong in the multipurpose feeder with their own preparation and output instructions. Special media have lower loading limits. Avoid translating a 300-sheet ordinary-paper total into an equally large envelope or label job.

Prove the software and connection together

USB and 10/100 Ethernet are included. The documented Scan Manager computer workflow supports a local or network installation on a compatible Windows system. Configure its actual destination and test both a single-page image and a two-sided feeder job.

Wireless requires an optional adapter. The front USB memory connection is also distinct from the rear computer interface. Neither a network-software name nor a memory-key feature establishes another included computer connection.

The brochure refers to secured printing with enhanced standard memory. The reviewed operating evidence does not establish the corresponding ordinary held-job PIN routine, so that requirement remains unconfirmed. A scan-computer password or secure-fax setting should not be substituted for print release.

Read the workload declaration correctly

Dell declares up to 35 one-sided Letter pages per minute. The brochure labels a much smaller recommended monthly interval separately from its 60,000-page maximum duty. Neither rating measures the speed or remaining life of the particular earlier machine being considered.

Check the actual toner and maintenance condition. The guide also places memory conditions on certain high-resolution color capture settings, so verify the required resolution within the installed configuration.

Keep the original source file and check captured page order before discarding paperwork. A successful transfer to the destination folder establishes delivery, while inspecting the saved image establishes whether important content was actually captured.

Choose the complete working unit

Confirm the regional electrical label, installed options and working clearances. Choose the 2335dn for proven monochrome duplex output and color feeder capture when its actual computer setup is established.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

The original brochure and guide declare up to 35 one-sided Letter ppm, separately from duplex image rates. The brochure explicitly labels 500–800 pages as its recommended monthly interval; 60,000 is maximum duty.

Paper handling

Included input is a 250-sheet drawer plus a 50-sheet multipurpose feeder. The exact media table establishes Letter, Legal and A4 capacity in both. Automatic duplex supports those sizes on suitable ordinary paper; the optional second 250-sheet drawer is excluded. Envelopes use the multipurpose feeder with their own loading and rear-output instructions.

Scanning arrangement

The 50-sheet duplex ADF and actual Local PC/Network PC operation provide automatic two-sided color capture with explicit Letter, A4 and Legal selections. Mechanical reversal versus single-pass is not established. The brochure glass length is 11.5 inches; full Letter glass capture is retained, while A4 and Legal glass capture are not promised from larger feeder or fax settings.

Computer and mobile connections

Included computer connections are USB 2.0 and 10/100 Ethernet. Wireless requires the optional Dell 5002 adapter and is excluded from the ordinary configuration. Front USB memory functions are separate from the rear computer USB interface.

Supplies and declared yields

The original brochure declares a 3,000-page shipped or standard toner cartridge and a 6,000-page high-capacity alternative under ISO/IEC 19752. Confirm the actual cartridge and machine condition. Certain 600 dpi color capture settings require additional memory in the guide; ordinary color capture is not an unconditional promise of every resolution.

Software and support

Dell Scan Manager provides an explicit Windows local or network computer capture route, including its duplex option and named document sizes. Use a compatible actual desktop print driver. Current OS and network compatibility need verification. The brochure mentions enhanced 256 MB secured printing, but the read guide does not establish a corresponding ordinary held-job PIN routine; PIN release remains unknown. Scan-computer credentials and secure fax do not supply that proof.

Electrical edition and setup

Scope is the documented 110–127 VAC US edition after inspecting the label. The brochure lists the closed cabinet at 18.31 × 17.32 × 18.15 inches and loaded weight at 39 lb. Allow additional paper, original, cover and service access. The source row’s B2335dn label is corrected to the exact maker model 2335dn identified throughout its supplied primary source.
