Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can standard Ethernet combine Legal duplex, 300 included sheets and 1500 monthly pages?
Yes, with compatible computer software and the stated duplex-media conditions.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the supplied basic machine satisfy a Wi-Fi-only location?
No. Wireless requires an optional adapter arrangement.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the recommended monthly maximum cover 1600 pages?
No. The recommendation ends at 1500; maximum duty is a different measure.
Explore this need in the finder →The networked member of the 2350 printer pair
The Dell 2350dn is an earlier monochrome laser printer whose standard Ethernet interface is the main distinction from the related 2350d. It offers a practical wired-sharing arrangement alongside USB, with automatic duplex included in the base paper configuration.
For a small document workgroup, that distinction is worth checking before comparing accessories or cartridge yields. A 2350d offer does not become a standard network printer simply because the same brochure discusses the 2350dn. Confirm the exact suffix and the ports on the machine being sold.
Size the normal workload realistically
The original US sheet recommends 400–1500 pages per month for the pair. Its maximum monthly duty is 60,000 pages, but that much larger figure serves a different purpose. It should not be treated as the normal monthly workload recommendation.
One-sided Letter printing is declared at up to 40ppm under the maker's reference conditions. The ready-state and power-save first-page timings are separate figures. The performance of an actual file also depends on the computer, driver, network and document, so a continuous rate does not guarantee every job's elapsed time.
Included Legal duplex has media limits
The standard paper sources accept Letter, Legal and A4, and the automatic duplex table also names those formats. This makes ordinary two-sided Legal documents a meaningful capability of the base configuration, provided the paper meets the stated duplex requirements.
Those requirements are narrower than the complete special-media list. Envelopes use the multipurpose feeder and are excluded from duplex. Rough paper and greeting-card stock are also excluded from duplex. Check the complete combination of material, source and job mode rather than assuming that every listed stock can use every path.
Choose a paper expansion for the actual job mix
The supplied cassette holds 250 sheets and the multipurpose tray adds 50, giving 300 ordinary input sheets. An optional 550-sheet drawer produces the expanded 850-sheet total. The maximum therefore describes additional equipment rather than a larger standard cassette.
An extra drawer may help keep different ordinary stocks loaded or reduce interruptions. Special-media jobs still need the correct feed path and settings. Ask which drawers are actually included, and plan enough room to extend or remove them for loading and service.
Wired sharing is confirmed; other workflows need their own checks
The documented 2350dn interfaces are USB, parallel and 10/100 Ethernet. Configure the chosen network arrangement and confirm a suitable working driver for the computers actually in use. Connection cables are not listed as included, so account for them in the setup.
Wireless requires an optional adapter. Native AirPrint, Mopria and private PIN-release printing are not established by this brochure. A network protocol, administrator password or fleet-management utility should not be substituted for a demonstrated mobile or confidential-job workflow.
The controller has 32MB standard memory and an upgrade path to 288MB using the specified option. That differs from the 2350d's ceiling. PCL and PostScript emulation describe supported data streams; they do not prove a genuine Adobe interpreter or current compatibility with every application.
Check supplies and the particular older machine
The original supplied toner is declared at 2000 pages, with a higher-yield replacement option available under the stated test conditions. Confirm suitable supplies, actual remaining consumables and a representative sample print. Historical warranty and support offers are not evidence of present coverage for an individual second-hand unit.
The brochure's dimension ordering is ambiguous, so measure the actual installation if space is tight. Its listed printer weight includes the standard cartridge and is separate from shipping weight. Choose the 2350dn for confirmed wired monochrome sharing, ordinary duplex documents and a workload that fits its recommended range.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
The US declaration is 40 ppm Letter monochrome, with actual speed dependent on use. Recommended volume is 400–1500 monthly pages, separate from maximum duty.
Paper handling
Included input is 250 cassette plus 50 multipurpose sheets. Letter/Legal/A4/Folio duplex uses eligible 16–24 lb stock. The 550-sheet drawer is optional; envelopes do not duplex.
Scanning arrangement
This is a dedicated printer. It has no document scanner, automatic document feeder, copying or fax function.
Computer and mobile connections
The 2350dn includes USB, parallel and Ethernet, unlike basic 2350d. Wireless requires an optional adapter; native mobile protocols and private PIN collection remain unestablished.
Supplies and declared yields
The original separates supplied/standard and high-capacity toner under ISO/IEC 19752. Verify actual cartridges and maintenance parts; old service offers are not current entitlements.
Software and support
Exact 2350dn memory expansion differs from 2350d. The controller provides PCL/PostScript emulation and a text LCD; management software does not guarantee current compatibility or held-job PIN release.
Electrical edition and setup
The documented US edition accepts 110–127 V, 47–63 Hz. Loaded and shipping masses differ. Ambiguous brochure body-axis order leaves dimensions unassigned; allow drawer, cable and service access.
