Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can Ethernet combine color printing, AirPrint and automatic Legal duplex at 3000 monthly pages?
Yes. The network route, AirPrint, Legal duplex and recommended 3500-page monthly maximum are documented separately.
Explore this need in the finder →Does an available wireless adapter mean Wi-Fi is included?
No. USB and Ethernet are standard; the wireless adapter is sold separately.
Explore this need in the finder →Does USB computer printing also satisfy an AirPrint requirement?
No. AirPrint belongs to the documented shared-network arrangement.
Explore this need in the finder →A wired color printer with a substantial multipurpose feeder
The Dell C2660dn is an earlier color laser printer combining automatic two-sided output, Gigabit Ethernet and a useful included paper supply. It is a dedicated printer rather than a multifunction machine, so there is no scanner, copier, fax or feeder for originals.
The standard configuration suits compatible computers sharing a wired office printer, including a network arrangement where supported Apple devices use AirPrint. Wi-Fi hardware is an optional addition. The distinction is between a printer connected to a shared network and a printer containing its own wireless radio.
400 sheets are standard; 950 requires the extra drawer
The original specification lists a 250-sheet cassette and a 150-sheet multipurpose feeder, totaling 400 ordinary sheets. A separately sold 550-sheet drawer raises the configured maximum to 950. That maximum and the lockable-drawer illustration do not establish what a basic offer includes.
Both included paths name Letter, Legal and A4. Envelopes go through the multipurpose feeder with their stated media settings. Ordinary-paper capacity is not the same as envelope capacity, and support for a thick sheet on a one-sided path does not automatically extend to duplex printing.
Legal automatic duplex has its own positive confirmation
Unlike a specification that only says two-sided printing is included, this original document supplies a separate duplex-media table. It explicitly names Letter, Legal 14 and A4, with the allowed paper types and weights. Those sizes can therefore qualify together with an automatic-duplex requirement.
The declared 18ppm duplex rate is specifically for Letter and A4. It should not be described as a measured Legal rate or as the same as the 28ppm one-sided Letter declaration. The supported-size statement and the speed statement answer different questions.
AirPrint uses the network; USB does not provide that route
USB and Gigabit Ethernet are standard interfaces. The original brochure separately names native AirPrint and an Android Dell Mobile Print app. For the network route, the printer and mobile device must be on an appropriately reachable shared network; an Ethernet printer can coexist with Wi-Fi devices through that network.
The external wireless adapter is separately sold and should not be treated as an included radio. The Android-app statement also does not establish native Mopria. For a direct USB computer connection, the ordinary computer driver is the relevant arrangement, without borrowing mobile features from the network plan.
Private print collection is a useful documented feature
Secure Print requires a four-digit PIN at the printer before releasing the job. That can matter when documents would otherwise sit uncollected in a shared output tray. It is a specific collection routine, separate from network encryption or a general security claim.
Confirm the actual compatible driver and administrator settings before relying on it. PCL, PostScript-compatible and XPS support have documented driver and firmware distinctions. An old operating-system list or historical cloud-printing label does not guarantee that every original software service remains usable today.
Size the workload from the recommendation, not the maximum
The manufacturer gives a recommended monthly range of 750–3,500 pages and a separate 50,000-page maximum duty cycle. The recommendation is used for regular workload matching. One-sided output is declared at 28ppm Letter or 27ppm A4 in both monochrome and color; these are manufacturer figures, not our test results.
The 120V model accepts 110–127V. Its body is 17.3×19.1×14.9 inches and 56.4lb, before optional installation changes; leave access for paper, cables and maintenance. Check current compatible supplies and the actual condition of an older offer. Toner and component-yield declarations, and the brochure's historical cost comparison, do not establish today's cost per page.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Declared one-sided output at 600 dpi is 28 ppm Letter and 27 ppm A4 in color or black. The separate 18 ppm duplex declaration covers Letter/A4, not Legal speed.
Paper handling
Included input is 250 cassette plus 150 multipurpose sheets, totaling 400. Automatic duplex expressly supports Letter, Legal and A4 with eligible stock. The 550-sheet drawer is optional.
Scanning arrangement
Print-only color laser model without document-capture hardware.
Computer and mobile connections
Computer USB and Gigabit Ethernet are included; wireless requires the separate adapter. AirPrint uses the appropriate shared network. The Android app does not establish Mopria.
Supplies and declared yields
Starter, replacement toner, imaging drum and fuser declarations are separate. Historical competitor prices and total-cost comparisons do not establish current page cost or remaining life.
Software and support
Compatible PCL/PostScript/XPS desktop printing has its stated driver requirements. Secure Print uses a four-digit panel PIN. Historical cloud-service references do not establish current service availability.
Electrical edition and setup
The exact 120 V model accepts 110–127 V AC at 50/60 Hz. Printer body: 17.3 × 19.1 × 14.9 inches, 56.4 lb. Allow paper, rear, cable, ventilation and maintenance access.
