C2665dnf (US low-voltage included wired configuration)Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible desktop office workflow needing Legal duplex output and two-sided feeder capture.

The main tradeoff

Wireless and the extra drawer are optional; AirPrint does not inherit desktop-driver PIN release.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the included Ethernet desktop arrangement print duplex Legal sheets, capture both sides of Legal originals and use configured numeric job release?

Yes, with the documented PCL/PS printing and network TWAIN setup. Enable the RAM disk for stored jobs. The feeder mechanism is not asserted to be single-pass.

Does the ordinary C2665dnf include Wi-Fi without an adapter?

No. The operating guide identifies wireless as an optional adapter; the included network interface is Ethernet.

Can AirPrint borrow the PCL/PS Secure Print PIN feature in the same plan?

That combined route is not established. AirPrint printing and stored desktop-driver PIN release are documented as separate arrangements.

A wired color document station with two-sided capture

The Dell C2665dnf combines color laser printing, copying, scanning and fax with included automatic print duplex and a duplex document feeder. Its strongest fit is a compatible wired office workflow handling both printed packets and two-sided originals. Its main configuration limits concern optional wireless and the different features exposed by desktop drivers and mobile printing.

Begin with the actual machine and its installed accessories. The wireless-adapter socket and optional paper drawer shown in Dell's diagrams are not evidence that those parts accompany every unit.

Use the included input before counting upgrades

The ordinary configuration has a 250-sheet drawer and a separate 150-sheet multipurpose feeder. Dell's operating table explicitly permits Letter, Legal and A4 in both, giving 400 ordinary-paper positions for those sizes. A further 550-sheet drawer is an optional addition.

The same operating table confirms automatic duplex for those three sizes with suitable media. Match the driver's size, type and binding settings to the loaded stock. Special materials have different rules: envelopes use the multipurpose feeder and do not inherit ordinary-paper duplex support.

A multi-page packet should be checked with representative paper and content. Automatic sheet turning is established, but it does not guarantee the speed or appearance of every mixed-media job.

Legal scanning uses the feeder

The duplex automatic document feeder holds up to 50 suitable originals and accommodates Legal length. The guide explicitly offers two-sided scanning in the computer-capture workflow, including a TWAIN duplex setting. This supports automatic capture of both sides without assuming a particular reversing or single-pass mechanism.

The document glass is shorter, with a documented 297mm scanning length. It supports Letter and A4 positioning, while a full Legal original belongs in the feeder. Use the glass for an appropriate individually placed item and inspect the result before continuing a larger archive.

Prepare loose originals carefully. Staples, damaged sheets, mixed physical characteristics and unsuitable coated materials can disrupt a feeder job. A feeder's sheet count is not a guarantee that every collection of originals will travel reliably.

Choose a driver and connection together

USB and Gigabit Ethernet are included. Dell positively documents TWAIN computer capture over both USB and the network. The panel's Scan to PC command specifically requires USB; Ethernet users can choose the documented network TWAIN or another correctly configured network route.

The reviewed desktop printing plans use a compatible PCL or PS driver for media, duplex and stored-job settings. Confirm present operating-system support and test the actual print and capture applications. A long historical OS list does not establish an identical installation on every current computer.

PIN release belongs to the stored desktop job

Secure Print stores a password-protected job in memory for numeric release at the panel. Dell requires the RAM disk to be enabled in both the printer and driver. Check that setup and submit a real sample before treating confidential documents as held for collection.

AirPrint is separately documented as network printing with Bonjour and IPP enabled. It does not inherit the PCL or PS driver's PIN-release controls or prove scanner access. An AirPrint requirement combined with a held-job PIN therefore needs its own demonstrated workflow.

Stored jobs use volatile memory. Dell states that memory contents clear when power is turned off, so a held job should not be treated as a permanent document archive or a substitute for keeping the original file.

Inspect an earlier unit as a complete installation

The guide's speed figures are A4 declarations, not Letter measurements. Maximum duty is also separate from a recommended workload. Check the regional electrical label, actual consumables and service condition. Choose the C2665dnf when its proven wired desktop workflow meets the office's requirements.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

The operation guide rates one-sided A4 output at up to 27 ppm in black or color, and A4 duplex separately at 18 ppm. No Letter ppm is inferred. The family brochure’s 50,000-page maximum duty and 700–4,000 typical volume are not a confirmed recommended interval.

Paper handling

Included input is a 250-sheet drawer plus a 150-sheet multipurpose feeder. Both support Letter, Legal and A4; the operation table also permits those sizes through the automatic duplex unit with suitable stock. An optional 550-sheet drawer is excluded. Envelopes use the multipurpose feeder and do not support duplex.

Scanning arrangement

A 50-sheet duplex feeder supports suitable originals through 215.9 × 355.6 mm, including Legal. The glass is limited to 215.9 × 297 mm, supporting Letter and A4. USB/network TWAIN and the actual duplex scanning option are explicit. Automatic feeder duplex is confirmed, but reversal versus single-pass mechanics remain unknown.

Computer and mobile connections

Included computer interfaces are USB 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet. Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct require the optional wireless adapter. Front USB memory access is distinct from the rear computer interface.

Supplies and declared yields

The exact family column declares four 1,200-page shipped cartridges. Replacement capacities differ by color and cartridge tier under the printed ISO/IEC 19798 basis. Inspect toner, drums, transfer and waste components rather than estimating present condition from a yield declaration.

Software and support

The PCL/PS desktop plans provide the documented media, duplex and stored-print settings. Secure Print needs the RAM disk enabled in the device and driver; numeric release is documented with the included memory arrangement. Network TWAIN provides computer capture; the panel Scan to PC routine specifically needs USB. AirPrint has its own network printing plan with Bonjour/IPP enabled, without borrowing PCL/PS-only PIN release, scanner access or unestablished named-media options. Historic cloud integrations are not a promise of current service operation.

Electrical edition and setup

Scope is the documented 110–127 VAC regional edition after checking the label. The operation guide gives a 439 × 530 × 558 mm cabinet, about 17.28 × 20.87 × 21.97 inches. Guide and brochure loaded-weight declarations conflict, so weight remains unknown. Allow cover, feeder, paper and service access beyond the closed cabinet.
