C3760dn (US 110–127V included wired configuration)Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible department print station for color Letter, Legal or A4 duplex packets.

The main tradeoff

It has no document capture; Wi-Fi and the hardware needed for stored PIN jobs are optional.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can a compatible USB desktop print duplex color Letter packets with 700 confirmed ordinary-paper positions?

Yes. The exact dn has the automatic unit, and both included inputs explicitly support Letter.

Can a phone use documented AirPrint through an ordinary network shared with the Ethernet-connected printer?

Yes, after enabling Bonjour and IPP and confirming the actual device setup. This does not require counting optional printer Wi-Fi hardware.

Does the ordinary AirPrint plan include the stored-job PIN release described for PCL/PS?

That combination is not established. Stored PIN printing needs optional memory or disk and the corresponding desktop driver configuration.

Color packets without an attended sheet reload

The Dell C3760dn is an earlier color laser printer for an office that needs output rather than a combined document-capture station. Its useful combination is included automatic print duplex, wired networking and substantial ordinary-paper input. It can serve a department's reports and two-sided packets when a compatible working installation is established.

The dn suffix is decisive. Dell gives this model the automatic duplex unit, while the adjacent C3760n uses a manual reload routine. It is also distinct from the C3765dnf multifunction machine: the C3760dn has no scanner, copier, document feeder or fax.

Plan the ordinary stock and alternate feed

The included drawer holds 550 suitable ordinary sheets. A separate 150-sheet multipurpose feeder brings the included total to 700. Letter, Legal and A4 are explicitly supported in both, so those sizes have an established ordinary input arrangement.

An optional extra drawer changes the physical configuration and capacity only when it is actually installed. Check the machine itself rather than counting every accessory in a family diagram. The extra height and service space also need to work at its intended location.

Envelopes belong in the multipurpose feeder with the correct media settings and construction. They do not inherit ordinary-paper duplex support. Test an actual envelope and its orientation before sending a large correspondence job.

Match the duplex job to the driver and media

The operating chapter positively supports the C3760dn automatic duplex unit. The media table includes Letter, Legal and A4 for suitable two-sided stock. Select the binding edge and matching size and type in the compatible desktop driver, then inspect a short representative packet.

Preprinted stock has its own dn orientation. Dell describes bottom-edge-first, face-down loading, with the relevant letterhead duplex-mode setting even for certain one-sided jobs. This differs from the n model's instructions, so a shared guide should not be followed without its model qualifier.

Booklet layout is also driver-dependent. It arranges content for folding and is not universally available through every language or application. Establish the actual driver arrangement that produces the required document.

Keep native mobile printing within its evidence

USB and Gigabit Ethernet are included. Ordinary Wi-Fi requires an optional adapter; a network setup screen does not demonstrate that accessory is present. A phone can still share an ordinary network with an Ethernet-connected printer.

Dell documents AirPrint with Bonjour and IPP enabled. That route is separately assessed because it does not automatically expose all PCL or PS options. A successful mobile print is not proof of a particular paper, duplex or confidential-job combination.

Password-held jobs require additional hardware

The stored-job chapter requires an optional 512MB memory module with RAM-disk settings, or an optional hard disk and its driver configuration. Secure Print then uses the documented PCL or PS arrangement and panel password release.

The ordinary configuration reviewed here therefore has no unconditional PIN-release promise. Do not combine an AirPrint claim with a desktop-only stored-job feature and assume the resulting workflow exists. Verify the installed options and an actual held sample job if collection security is essential.

The original family column separates shipped cartridges from several replacement tiers, with different black and color capacities. Identify the cartridges actually supplied and inspect a representative color page. A declared yield cannot establish remaining toner or the condition of the drum and transfer components.

Use ratings to frame an inspection

Dell's Letter speed declaration is separate from A4 and actual job timing. Typical volume and maximum duty are also different workload labels. Check the regional electrical rating, toner and maintenance condition. Choose the C3760dn when its verified wired color duplex output meets the workload and document capture is handled elsewhere.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

The exact family column declares up to 36 one-sided Letter ppm in black or color and separately 35 A4. Its 600–5,000 monthly interval is labelled typical volume, so a recommended interval remains unknown. Maximum monthly duty is 80,000 pages.

Paper handling

The included 550-sheet drawer and separate 150-sheet multipurpose feeder explicitly support Letter, Legal and A4. The exact dn automatic duplex unit supports those sizes with suitable media. An optional additional 550-sheet drawer is excluded. Envelopes require the multipurpose feeder and do not pass through duplex.

Scanning arrangement

This C3760dn is a single-function color laser printer. There is no flatbed, document feeder, scanner, copier or fax. It does not borrow the C3765dnf MFP’s document capture.

Computer and mobile connections

Included USB 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet support a compatible desktop installation. Ordinary Wi-Fi needs the optional adapter. The front USB memory facility is distinct from rear USB computer printing.

Supplies and declared yields

Dell’s exact family column declares four 3,000-page shipped toner cartridges. Standard, high and extra-high replacements have different black and color capacities under ISO/IEC 19798. Inspect actual toner and the drum/transfer maintenance condition before estimating a usable supply interval.

Software and support

PCL or PS desktop printing supplies the documented media and automatic duplex settings. AirPrint uses a separately enabled ordinary network route with Bonjour and IPP. Its named media and duplex settings are not assumed from the desktop driver. Password-held Secure Print needs an optional 512 MB memory module with RAM disk enabled, or the optional hard disk and corresponding driver settings; included PIN release remains unknown. AirPrint does not inherit those PCL/PS-only stored-job features.

Electrical edition and setup

Scope is the documented US 110–127 VAC edition after checking the actual label. The guide gives a closed 439 × 485 × 379 mm cabinet, about 17.28 × 19.09 × 14.92 inches, and 56.66 lb including toner and drum cartridges. Leave room for open feeds, output, cable routing and component service; the closed cabinet alone is not the complete installation footprint.
