ColorCloudMultifunctionPrinter H625cdw (documentedUS110–127Vconfiguration)Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible ordinary Wi-Fi computer routine needing color documents and Legal feeder capture within the recommended 2500 monthly pages.

The main tradeoff

Native AirPrint/Mopria exclude Direct mode; H825/S2825 extra-high-yield cartridges are not established H625 options.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can ordinary Wi-Fi combine 25 ppm color Letter output, Legal single-pass capture, PIN release, 300 sheets and 2500 monthly pages?

Yes, with the documented compatible PCL/PS driver, enabled RAM disk and network computer scanning.

Can native AirPrint be combined with Wi-Fi Direct here?

No. The exact US footnote excludes AirPrint and Mopria in Direct mode.

Can a Legal original be scanned on the glass?

No. Legal is confirmed for the ADF; glass is Letter/A4-size.

Wireless color multifunction work with a useful feeder

The Dell Color Cloud Multifunction Printer H625cdw is an earlier color machine with included ordinary Wi-Fi, Ethernet and USB connectivity. Its 50-sheet single-pass duplex document feeder is especially relevant to a routine that regularly captures both sides of loose documents.

Unlike the wired S2825cdn in the shared family guide, the H625cdw explicitly includes wireless operation. That difference affects where it can be installed. It does not remove the need to confirm a working driver, application and suitable network arrangement for the actual computers and phones.

Choose the scanning path around the original

The feeder explicitly handles Letter, Legal and A4 originals, including documented single-pass duplex capture. The glass is a separate Letter/A4-sized route with a 297mm effective length. A full Legal sheet therefore belongs in the feeder rather than being treated as a guaranteed fit on the glass.

USB computer scanning and network TWAIN are documented independently. The guide also describes network shared-folder and WSD arrangements with their own setup requirements. Confirm the actual destination and permissions, particularly when replacing an older computer or changing an office network.

Ordinary Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct are different arrangements

For native AirPrint or Mopria, the US sheet requires an ordinary shared network. It explicitly states that those protocols do not work in Wi-Fi Direct mode. Selecting direct connection in a questionnaire must therefore change the available printing arrangement rather than preserve every ordinary-network feature.

The original guide separately documents direct printing and computer capture through supported protocols such as TWAIN and WIA. Direct mode allows a limited number of clients and does not provide Internet access through the printer. Check the exact application and computer connection instead of treating direct mode as a replacement for a normal office network.

Use the configured driver for confidential collection

The original Secure Print routine stores a password-protected job in memory until the user collects it at the printer. Its prerequisites include enabling the RAM disk, marking it available in the compatible PCL or PostScript driver and having enough free memory for the job.

That is a configured function of the included memory, rather than a promise that every default job is held. Stored jobs are also cleared when the printer is powered off. Native phone-printing and direct-mode PIN behavior need their own confirmation; they should not inherit the computer-driver security claim automatically.

Match the workload and ordinary paper supply

Dell's US sheet recommends 500–2500 pages monthly, separately from its 38,000-page maximum duty. The declared one-sided Letter print rate is up to 25ppm in color or monochrome. Scanning, copying, duplex output and first-page timing are separate measurements.

The included paper arrangement is a 250-sheet cassette plus a 50-sheet multipurpose feeder. An optional 550-sheet unit expands the supply. Automatic duplex has media restrictions, so a thick cover or envelope accepted for one-sided output should not be assumed suitable for two-sided printing.

Check replacement compatibility and practical access

The H625cdw's documented high-yield cartridge choices differ from the extra-high options listed for the H825cdw and S2825cdn. A shared cartridge-family name is not enough to prove that the larger-yield replacement is supported by every model. Drums, waste container and fuser also have separate declarations.

The body measures about 16.9 × 19.8 × 19.7 inches before allowing for the feeder, glass, paper handling and service access. Check the actual installed configuration and condition of the older machine. Choose the H625cdw around confirmed wireless color documents and Legal single-pass capture, while verifying the exact software workflow instead of depending on historical cloud-service promises.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

The US sheet and actual guide agree on 25 ppm Letter color/black; Letter/A4 duplex is separately 16 ppm. Recommended volume is 500–2500 monthly pages, separate from duty.

Paper handling

Included input is 250 cassette plus 50 multipurpose sheets. Letter/A4 duplex is positively established; Legal duplex remains unassigned. The extra 550-sheet drawer is optional.

Scanning arrangement

The 50-sheet single-pass feeder accepts Letter/Legal/A4; glass is Letter/A4. Actual USB/network TWAIN and configured computer-folder routes are documented, distinct from USB-host saving.

Computer and mobile connections

USB, Gigabit Ethernet and ordinary Wi-Fi are included. AirPrint/Mopria exclude Direct. The actual guide separately supports Direct printing and TWAIN/WIA with its client limit; Direct PIN behavior remains unknown.

Supplies and declared yields

The exact H625 starter/standard and high-yield toner declarations differ from H825/S2825 extra-high supplies. Imaging drum, waste and fuser declarations are separate from remaining life or current cost.

Software and support

Four-digit stored Secure Print uses the included RAM disk, enabled in the menu and compatible PCL/PS driver, with enough free memory. Power-off clears jobs. Native mobile/Direct PIN behavior is unestablished.

Electrical edition and setup

The US edition uses 110–127 V AC, 50/60 Hz. Body: 16.9 × 19.8 × 19.7 inches. Conflicting exact/shared-guide loaded masses leave weight unknown. Allow scanner, tray and service access.
