Color LaserJet Enterprise M750dn (D3L09A#BGJ; US configuration)Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible commercial computer queue needing color Letter, Legal, A4, A3 or 11×17 duplex within the 2,500–13,000 monthly recommendation.

The main tradeoff

Automatic duplex has a 120-g/m² ceiling. Wireless hardware is optional, mobile settings remain separate, and the 115.3-lb assembly needs working clearance.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can a USB computer print color A3 duplex with 850 included sheets and PIN release?

Qualifies with earlier references enabled, a compatible HP driver, the included duplexer and all three inputs holding the selected ordinary stock within supported duplex media limits.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does the standard dn meet a Wi-Fi requirement without a wireless accessory?

Fails the standard wireless requirement. Ethernet and computer USB are included; the Jetdirect wireless hardware is optional.

Wide-format color with automatic second sides included

The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M750dn fits a commercial computer queue needing color A3 or 11×17-inch documents, automatic duplex and 850 ordinary sheets without adding the first optional feeder. Ethernet and rear computer USB are included. Its useful distinction from the n is an included automatic duplexer, with actual paper-size and media-weight limits still applying.

HP identifies D3L09A#BGJ and explicitly marks it discontinued. This earlier-model review covers the documented US commercial Class A, 110–127-V edition at 50/60 Hz. Check the actual electrical label, condition, duplex assembly and compatible driver; a separate high-voltage model is not dual voltage or interchangeable.

Make three input settings agree with the color job

The standard supply combines front 100, Tray 2's 250 and Tray 3's 500 for 850 ordinary sheets. HP's original counts use 20-lb/75-g/m² paper. Letter, Legal, A4, A3 and 11×17 are positively supported in all three inputs, so the full selected-size reserve assumes all three hold that stock.

Keeping several sizes or preprinted forms ready is practical, but divides the reserve. The larger 2,350-sheet figure describes optional extra feeders. It is not the standard machine's input capacity.

Open the front extension and keep paper under tabs and fill indicators. In the drawers, use the adjustment latches to set width and length, avoid bending the stack and close below the full line. Confirm the panel's type and size with OK, or choose Modify when they differ, then make the computer job agree.

The original warns that a front tray configured as Any Size/Any Type may supply paper even when its actual contents differ from an unspecified-source job. A deliberately chosen source, size and type helps keep a prepared color document on the intended stock.

Use automatic duplex within its real media limits

The original supported-duplex section provides a positive size range covering ordinary Letter, Legal, A4, A3 and 11×17, alongside the actual input-size tables. Its automatic-duplex weight ceiling is 120 g/m². Heavier paper needs an attended manual routine rather than borrowing the front input's higher weight rating.

In the compatible Windows driver, choose Print on both sides under Finishing. The original Mac HP-driver routine uses Layout and a Two-Sided binding choice. Those computer instructions do not prove that a network phone app exposes the same duplex settings.

For portrait preprinted paper on the default arrangement, automatic-duplex front loading is face up with the top toward the back. Lower drawers use face down/top at the back. Landscape lower loading instead points the top to the right. Alternative Letterhead Mode and image-rotation settings change which directions apply, so check the actual document orientation.

When manual duplex is needed, the original Windows routine returns the printed stack to Tray 1 with printed sides up; the Mac routine separately removes blank front paper and also returns printed sides up. Instructions from a different LaserJet generation should not override this exact guide.

Keep coated paper and envelopes out of broad assumptions

The exact US fields and detailed original type table permit lower plain paper to 120 g/m² and approved coated stock to 160. Front input reaches 220, with lower counts for thick material. A separate generic table's higher lower-tray claim conflicts with those specific limits, so it is not used here.

Use laser-approved coated stock instead of inkjet photo paper. Up to ten suitable envelopes no heavier than 90 g/m² use the front input face down, short edge entering and top toward the back. Select their actual size and type in the driver. Envelope printing is one-sided; a working duplexer is not permission to route every special medium through it.

Release a private computer job without an archive promise

The exact US configuration lists 1 GB RAM and included 8-GB solid-state storage. Its compatible computer driver supports Personal Job and PIN protection; the documented Mac routine uses four digits. At the panel choose Retrieve from Device Memory, select the folder and job, enter the code and release copies.

Names may gain a number or replace an existing file, and storage pressure can remove older jobs. Keep the source elsewhere. The actual M750 prose does not establish automatic deletion after printing or power loss. The xh's encrypted hard disk is a distinct configuration feature and is not included here.

Keep mobile protocols, color control and supplies specific

Exact US AirPrint and Mopria support a separate local arrangement: printer Ethernet and a compatible client reaching the same network through its wireless router. Mobile paper size, input count, duplex and PIN remain unconfirmed. The original explicitly excludes USB AirPrint; infrastructure wireless needs the optional Jetdirect accessory.

Front flash-file USB differs from rear computer USB and follows the exact enablement instructions referenced by the guide. Neither stored files, a color screen nor four toner cartridges adds scanning, copying or fax.

The driver offers Automatic/HP EasyColor, grayscale controls and a separate Neutral Grays choice between Black Only and four-color neutral gradients. Reducing color use is not a promise that every gray uses black alone. No measured color-accuracy or photo-quality result is claimed.

The exact supply table identifies CE270A black and CE271A/CE272A/CE273A cyan/yellow/magenta. Replacement declarations are approximately 13,500 black and 15,000 CMY pages under the exact HP 650A continuous-printing ISO/IEC 19798 wording. The box lists four cartridges without a separately established supplied yield here.

HP recommends 2,500–13,000 monthly pages, distinct from 120,000 maximum duty. One-sided Letter speed is up to 30 ppm in black and color. The US body measures 21.4×23×18 inches and 115.3 lb; allow its approximately 33×38.5-inch opened footprint plus service room before choosing this actual duplex configuration.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Exact US header positively declares up to 30 one-sided Letter ppm for both black and color; A4 is separately 30 in the original maker text. Recommended monthly use is 2,500–13,000 pages, distinct from maximum duty 120,000. No measured complex-job, photo, duplex or mobile speed inferred.

Paper handling

Included front 100, Tray 2 250 and Tray 3 500 total 850 ordinary 20-lb/75-g/m² sheets. Actual original size table positively includes Letter, Legal, A4, A3 and Tabloid 11×17 in all three inputs; full selected-size count assumes all contain that size. Open front extension, keep under tabs/fill lines, adjust guides without bending stock and confirm panel size/type with OK or Modify to match the computer job. Tray 1 set to Any Size/Any Type can select mismatched stock if the job does not explicitly request a tray. Ordinary lower limits are 60–120 g/m² and approved coated stock up to 160; front reaches 220. The separate original generic capacity table’s lower220 claim conflicts with the actual type table and exact US limits and is not used. Envelopes are front-only, up to ten suitable envelopes no heavier than 90 g/m², face down with short edge entering and top toward the back. Use laser-approved media, not inkjet-coated stock. Optional 2,350-sheet expanded capacity is not included. Exact dn includes automatic duplex. The actual positive duplex size range and input tables cover ordinary Letter, Legal, A4, A3 and Tabloid 11×17, within the 120-g/m² automatic limit. Compatible Windows HP driver uses Finishing and Print on both sides; original Mac HP driver uses Layout and Two-Sided binding. Under default portrait preprinted settings, front automatic-duplex loading is face up/top toward the back and lower is face down/top at the back; lower landscape top points right. Alternative Letterhead Mode and image rotation change the applicable directions. Actual manual reload, when needed for supported heavier media, returns printed sides up in Tray 1.

Scanning arrangement

Four-color laser printing is positively supported, but this is print-only hardware with no scanner, document feeder, copy function or fax. A color control display and generic photocopy/fax wording in color-management advice do not establish multifunction hardware.

Computer and mobile connections

Included Gigabit Ethernet and rear USB 2.0 computer device connection with compatible HP driver; USB cable separately purchased. Front walk-up flash-file USB is a different function, and the original directs administrators to exact online setup for enablement rather than establishing a default state or menu path here. Infrastructure wireless requires the optional Jetdirect 2700w accessory. No included Wi-Fi Direct or Bluetooth printing inferred.

Supplies and declared yields

Exact original M750 supply table identifies CE270A black, CE271A cyan, CE272A yellow and CE273A magenta, HP 650A. Exact HP CE270A and CE271A pages establish approximately 13,500 black and 15,000 CMY declared pages with continuous-printing ISO/IEC 19798 wording, including composite CMY conditions. The printer page’s conflicting generic ISO/IEC 19752 label is not adopted. The original box lists four color cartridges, without a separately established supplied-cartridge yield here. No price, stock, installed remainder, blanket refill guarantee or cost per page inferred.

Software and support

Exact US configuration lists 1 GB RAM and included 8 GB SSD. The original compatible computer-driver Personal Job supports PIN release, with four digits in the Mac procedure. At the panel select Retrieve from Device Memory, folder and job, enter PIN and release copies. Duplicate names may be numbered or overwritten; storage pressure may remove oldest jobs. The actual M750 prose does not establish an automatic post-print or power-loss deletion rule, so none is imported. The illustration’s CP4520 driver title is a generic screenshot, not M750 identity or an independent deletion-rule source. No xh encrypted hard disk or permanent archive included. Compatible driver Automatic/HP EasyColor provides ordinary color adjustment. Print in Grayscale on Windows or Print Color as Gray on Mac reduces use of color cartridges; it is not proof that every gray uses only black. In the separately documented Neutral Grays setting, Black Only uses black toner for neutral colors, while 4-Color combines all four for neutral gradients. No measured color accuracy, photo-quality score or universal color-cartridge bypass promised.

Electrical edition and setup

Exact US D3L09A#BGJ is explicitly discontinued and commercial Class A, with documented 110–127 VAC at 50/60 Hz. Separate 220–240-V editions are not dual voltage or convertible. Exact US closed body is 21.4 inches wide, 23 deep and 18 high, with published weight 115.3 lb. Fully opened footprint reaches approximately 33-inch width and 38.5-inch depth. Allow tray, output, ventilation, cable and service access; inspect actual plate, condition, duplex assembly, accessories and compatible host driver. No stock, price or seller-condition promise.
