Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can a configured Ethernet routine print color Letter documents and capture Letter originals with 150 included sheets at 900 monthly pages?
Yes. The exact network-folder procedure delivers color camera-stage captures to a computer destination. Letter fits the stage and input tray, and 900 pages is within the recommended 950-page monthly maximum.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the TopShot capture stage satisfy a flatbed-scanner requirement?
No. It uses an elevated camera, without a flatbed. The camera stage remains a separately documented original-acquisition route.
Explore this need in the finder →Can it automatically feed a stack of originals?
No. Originals are placed individually on the camera stage; there is no included automatic document feeder.
Explore this need in the finder →Choose the M275nw for its camera-based capture routine
The HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M275nw is an earlier color laser multifunction printer with an unusual way of acquiring originals. A camera sits in a hinged arm above a capture stage. You place a document or small object face up, raise the arm and choose the appropriate capture mode. This is the central reason to consider the machine.
It is also the deciding limitation. There is no flatbed scanner or automatic document feeder. Someone must place each original and turn or replace it when another face is needed. A routine built around unattended stacks, automatic two-sided capture or a conventional glass scanner needs different hardware.
TopShot is a distinct scanner, with its own size limit
HP's original technology explanation describes six exposures per capture: three with differently angled flashes and three using different ambient-light exposures. The machine combines them into one image. That explains the documented mechanism; it is not a measured image-quality result from this assessment.
The stage supports documents through 216 × 297 mm, covering Letter and A4. Legal paper can pass through the printer, but its full length exceeds the documented capture area. A supported print size therefore does not establish an equally large scan. The original data sheet also separates the camera's 245 dpi specification from printing and copying resolution.
Prepare the actual computer destination
The user guide documents HP Scan, Windows TWAIN/WIA and Mac TWAIN procedures. Its network-folder routine is particularly explicit: connect the machine to the network, open its Embedded Web Server and configure the destination before using the panel's Scan to Network Folder command.
That provides a documented computer-delivery route over the included Ethernet or ordinary Wi-Fi network. Credentials, permissions and compatible software still matter. Scan-to-email is another separately configured destination, and its optional PIN protects that sending profile; it is not evidence of password-held confidential printing.
The brochure's cloud-app examples date from 2011. Do not choose an earlier machine on the assumption that an old auction-site, document-storage or expense app still functions. Establish the local document workflow first.
Two-sided output requires attendance
Automatic print duplex is absent. The Windows procedure prints the first sides, then asks you to retrieve and reload the stack before continuing. Mac instructions use a separate manual-duplex menu and stated reloading orientation. Follow the procedure for the actual driver rather than assuming that a two-sided checkbox supplies a reversing mechanism.
The short four-page document preserved in the original lead is specifically a manual duplex-copy procedure. It combines changing the original on the stage with reloading the output sheet. Its title does not establish automatic print duplex or automatic two-sided scanning.
Small color jobs fit the declared workload better
The exact sheet declares up to 17 Letter pages per minute in black and four in color, under its stated ISO conditions. This is a substantial difference for a color-heavy queue. HP recommends 250–950 monthly pages; the 20000-page maximum duty figure is a separate durability comparison.
Included input is 150 ordinary sheets at the guide's 75 gsm condition, while output holds 50. Envelopes use the specified orientation and smaller quantity. Separate CMYK toner and an imaging drum also make supply planning more involved than checking a single black cartridge.
Allow space for the raised camera arm
The closed 10.6-inch body height is misleading for an overhead shelf: the ready-to-copy arrangement reaches 19.5 inches with the arm raised. Leave further working and service access, and never lift the printer by that arm.
Ethernet, computer USB and ordinary Wi-Fi are included, with documented network AirPrint and possible firmware requirements. The documented 2011 HP Wireless Direct feature is a legacy peer-printing method; it does not establish standard Wi-Fi Direct or present device compatibility. Verify present drivers, supplies and the actual electrical label; the read sheet does not establish a universal input voltage or a current retail offer.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
The exact manufacturer sheet declares up to 17 ppm black and 4 ppm color on Letter under ISO/IEC 24734, separate from first-set and copy timings. Manual duplex requires reloading. Recommended volume is 250–950 monthly pages; maximum duty is 20000.
Paper handling
Included Tray 1 holds 150 ordinary sheets at 75 gsm, with named Letter/Legal/A4 support. Envelopes use the instructed tray orientation, up to ten at 60–90 gsm. The 50-sheet output limit is separate. No automatic print duplex is included.
Scanning arrangement
TopShot uses an overhead camera and capture stage, rather than a flatbed or ADF. Letter/A4 originals fit the documented 216 × 297 mm maximum. Documents and small objects are placed manually; automatic duplex or single-pass feeder scanning is not provided. Network-folder capture needs EWS configuration.
Computer and mobile connections
Computer USB 2.0, 10/100 Ethernet and ordinary 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi are included. Actual AirPrint instructions require a network and may require firmware updating. The 2011 HP Wireless Direct feature is a legacy peer-printing method; it does not establish the questionnaire’s standard Wi-Fi Direct protocol or present device compatibility.
Supplies and declared yields
The original separates 500-page introductory CMYK supplies from 126A replacements at 1200 black/1000 composite-color pages under ISO/IEC 19798 and continuous conditions. Imaging-drum yield differs with color use and job conditions. Declared yield is not remaining life or current cost.
Software and support
The original guide documents HP Scan for Windows/Mac, Windows TWAIN/WIA and Mac TWAIN. The configured network-folder route is positively established for computer delivery. Historical cloud apps and Readiris examples depend on their own software/services; a scan-email PIN does not establish confidential print release.
Electrical edition and setup
The closed body is 18.4 × 16.1 × 10.6 inches; the ready-to-copy arrangement with raised arm and extended Legal stop reaches 18.4 × 18.5 × 19.5 inches. The arm is not a carrying handle. Electrical voltage and consumables-loaded mass remain unknown in the read exact sources; check the actual unit label.
