Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can the documented earlier low-voltage 1150 print monochrome Legal documents over USB with 260 ordinary sheets?
Qualifies with earlier references enabled, the correct cable and a compatible computer driver. The original ordinary feed descriptions and named booklet sizes support Legal with the 250+10 included arrangement.
Explore this need in the finder →Can that USB configuration automatically finish both sides of Letter documents?
Fails automatic duplex. The original driver-assisted process needs the user to reload the first-side stack and confirm printing side two on the computer.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the 1,000-page monthly average establish a maker recommended monthly maximum?
Fails a selected recommended-volume requirement. The original labels that figure average and distinguishes maximum duty; a recommended range remains unconfirmed.

The HP LaserJet 1150 is an earlier monochrome print-only printer for a compatible USB computer or a genuine legacy parallel workstation. Its included 250-sheet main tray and ten-sheet priority feed provide 260 ordinary sheets. The deciding limitations are manual duplex and no included network print server or wireless radio.
HP's US support record identifies the exact LaserJet 1150 and links the original shared 1150/1300 guide. The original configuration and declaration identify Q1336A. This review covers the specifically documented 110–127-volt, 50/60-Hz configuration; a US retail option-code suffix has not been independently established.
The separate 220–240-volt edition is a regional alternative. The original manual warns not to convert operating voltage. This is an earlier documented-configuration assessment, not a current-stock claim or an invented explicit discontinued notice.
The parallel connection is a real 1150 port
The original 1150 configuration lists USB and a 1284-B parallel port. Its rear walkaround distinguishes that actual parallel socket from the LIO interface slot used by the neighboring 1300 series. The 1150 does not require the 1300's LIO parallel card for its ordinary parallel connection.
For legacy printing, provide a compatible computer parallel interface and an IEEE 1284-compliant cable. No USB-to-parallel conversion device is assumed. A separate USB computer arrangement is also explicitly documented. Use the proper cable and a printer driver actually compatible with the intended computer.
The original software section lists host-based and PCL 5e choices for the 1150. The 1300's additional PCL 6 and PostScript claims are not transferred to this model. Historical Windows and Mac listings describe that period's software, not universal compatibility with a present computer.
Networking and wireless devices appear as options. The original ordering list distinguishes external print servers for the 1150 from LIO servers for the 1300 family. Neither list makes an adapter included. AirPrint, Mopria and PIN-held document release remain unconfirmed.
Ordinary capacity and special media have different limits
The main tray holds 250 sheets of 20-lb/75-g/m² ordinary paper, and the priority input holds ten. The shared original feed descriptions support the documented range, and the booklet instructions explicitly name Letter, Legal and A4. Those ordinary sizes support the included 260-sheet arrangement with a compatible computer driver.
Load the intended print side face up with the top toward the printer, adjust the guides and straighten the entire stack before replenishing it. The priority feed takes precedence over the main tray, useful for a separately loaded first page or short special-media job.
One supported envelope uses the priority feed. A main-tray batch can contain up to 30 under the original instructions. Load the print side face up with the top along the left guide, feeding a short-edge flap first when present. Select the real envelope size and Envelope type in the compatible driver.
The rear straight-through output is part of that envelope routine. It sends pages out in reverse order without forming an automatic stack, so leave an appropriate surface below or remove each as it exits. Ordinary sheet capacity is not an envelope count.
Manual duplex keeps the user involved
For normal lightweight paper, the original routine closes the rear output door, enables manual duplex in Device Settings and selects the two-sided option in Finishing. Print side one, remove unused input paper, straighten the output and reload it printed side down with the bottom edge entering first. Click OK on the computer for the reverse side.
Heavy stock has a separately instructed rear-output path and driver setting. Follow the actual paper and driver routine. No automatic duplex mechanism is established, and selecting a two-sided option does not remove the stack-handling stage.
The original configuration rates one-sided output up to 18 Letter pages per minute, separately 17 A4. These are maker declarations, not measurements made here. The common specification lists 10,000 monthly pages as maximum duty and 1,000 as an average. That average is not a recommended monthly maximum, so an essential recommended-volume requirement remains unconfirmed.
Use the 1150 cartridge, not a neighboring supply
The original model heading and current HP compatibility table map 24A Q2624A to the 1150. The historical life statement gives approximately 2,500 pages at 5% text coverage, density three and EconoMode off. This assessment does not turn that older basis into an ISO replacement declaration by borrowing a 1300 supply page.
Q2613A and Q2613X belong to the separate 1300 family. A misleading copied description in one original ordering row does not override the explicit 1150 heading and independently confirmed Q2624A mapping. Actual supplied and remaining toner are not promised, and no live cost per page is calculated.
The shared original body table gives approximately 16.3-inch width and 19.1-inch depth. Exact 1150 height and weight remain unconfirmed against differing family presentations. Allow paper support, rear output, cables and cartridge access. Choose the 1150 for prepared direct monochrome printing; onboard sharing, scanning or unattended duplex needs other documented hardware.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Original exact 1150 configuration declares maximum 18 one-sided Letter ppm, separately 17 A4. Common maximum monthly duty 10,000 differs from stated average 1,000; average is not treated as a recommended maximum, so recommendation fields remain unknown. Special-sized media slows output. No measured speed, quality or noise claim.
Paper handling
Included 250-sheet enclosed main tray plus genuine ten-sheet priority feed, total 260 ordinary 20-lb/75-g/m² sheets. Actual original common feeds accept the documented 3×5–8.5×14-inch range; ordinary Letter/Legal/A4 are explicitly named in the booklet routine, not inferred from maximum alone. Main and priority ordinary loading top toward printer/face up, adjusted guides and straightened stack. Priority handles one envelope, main up to 30 supported envelopes as separate jobs, face up with top along left guide; short-edge flap enters first when present. Open rear straight-through path for envelopes, select actual Envelope type/size and allow exiting sheets to drop or remove each; no automatic output stacking on that rear path. Original driver manual duplex only, not an automatic mechanism.
Scanning arrangement
Actual original monochrome print-only architecture and black cartridge. No scanner, feeder, flatbed, standalone copier or fax. A network print server, optional wireless adapter or generic support app does not add paper capture.
Computer and mobile connections
Documented US low-voltage LaserJet 1150 configuration Q1336A has USB plus its real 1284-B parallel port, unlike the 1300 family LIO arrangement. Legacy parallel requires the actual compatible host, IEEE 1284 cable and compatible driver; no converter assumed. External networking and wireless accessories are not included. No AirPrint, Mopria or PIN job-release feature is established.
Supplies and declared yields
The exact original 1150 model heading and current HP compatibility table map 24A Q2624A. Original historical declaration approximately 2,500 pages at 5% text coverage, density 3 and EconoMode off; ISO yield is not independently established for this cartridge here. The separate 1300 Q2613A/Q2613X measurement is not borrowed. An erroneous original description saying 1300 in the 1150 row is superseded by the explicit heading plus independent maker mapping. Supplied or remaining toner is unknown; no live cost per page.
Software and support
Use an actually compatible computer printer driver and correct cable. Original standard-paper manual duplex closes rear straight-through output, enables manual duplex in Device Settings, selects Print on Both Sides in Finishing, prints side one, removes unused paper, straightens and reloads printed side down/bottom edge first, then clicks OK on the computer. Heavy-media routine uses rear output and a different selected path. Driver/OS availability varies; original historical Windows/Mac lists do not guarantee a present computer. A Confidential watermark or attended manual-feed Go button is not secure PIN-held release. AirPrint, Mopria and PIN release remain unconfirmed.
Electrical edition and setup
US support names the exact LaserJet 1150 and links its original guide; the exact original configuration/declaration establishes Q1336A, while a US retail option-code suffix remains unconfirmed. The original exact electrical row positively documents the 110–127-V 50/60-Hz low-voltage configuration, separate from the 220–240-V 50/60-Hz regional version; do not convert voltage. The shared original body table gives 16.3-inch width and 19.1-inch depth. Independently confirmed exact 1150 height/weight remain unknown against differing family presentations; allow paper support, rear output, cables and cartridge access. Earlier documented reference, no explicit discontinued notice or present stock claim inferred.
