Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can a USB computer print ordinary Legal automatically on both sides with 650 sheets and PIN release?
Qualifies with earlier references enabled and a compatible HP driver. Both included inputs must hold ordinary Legal for full capacity; temporary Personal Job deletes after printing or power loss.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the base dn meet an infrastructure Wi-Fi requirement without an extra print server?
Fails the standard wireless requirement. Ethernet and computer USB are included; Jetdirect infrastructure wireless hardware is optional.
Explore this need in the finder →Can a Mopria client use the local network with the printer connected by Ethernet?
Qualifies with earlier references enabled and a compatible client on the same reachable subnet. The separate mobile route does not establish paper-size, capacity, duplex or PIN settings.

The HP LaserJet Enterprise M607dn makes sense when a commercial workgroup wants ordinary two-sided monochrome documents without returning a printed stack. Its standard automatic duplexer works alongside a 100-sheet front input and 550-sheet main drawer. Ethernet and rear computer USB are included; infrastructure wireless is an accessory arrangement.
HP identifies the exact US model as K0Q15A#BGJ and marks it discontinued. This review concerns that earlier commercial Class A, 100–127-V configuration at nominal 50–60 Hz. It does not establish a seller's current stock, cartridge remainder or refurbished condition. Check the actual plate, included parts and compatible driver.
Make paper settings agree before a long run
The standard supply totals 650 ordinary sheets. The lower drawer's 550-sheet rating uses 20-lb/75-g/m² paper, and the front input adds 100. Original input and duplex orientation tables positively cover Letter, Legal and A4. Both inputs must hold the selected ordinary size to claim its entire 650-sheet reserve.
Adjust the blue width and length guides rather than forcing paper into the existing position. Keep below the full indicators, close the drawer and confirm the control panel's size and type. Use Modify when its detected setting differs, then make the computer job agree. The supplied Legal extension cover does not remove the need for drawer and service clearance.
In the compatible Windows driver, open Finishing and choose Print on both sides. HP's OS X driver instead provides a binding choice under Layout and Two-Sided; its instructions warn that the same feature might not be offered through AirPrint. This review therefore records automatic duplex on the computer route separately from network mobile printing.
Load preprinted stock for the actual output arrangement
Without a stapling mailbox, automatically duplexed preprinted stock enters Tray 1 face down with its bottom edge leading. In the lower drawer it sits face up with the top edge at the back. For an ordinary one-sided job, the documented directions are different: front face up/top entering, lower face down/bottom at the back.
Alternative Letterhead Mode uses the duplex orientation for applicable jobs. An optional stapling mailbox changes directions again. Check those settings instead of assuming a form can always be dropped into either input the same way. The recorded ordinary lower and automatic-duplex paths are 60–120 g/m²; the front input's separate 60–200 range is not a blanket duplex rating.
Release a private job with its real retention limits
The original memory-storage procedure supports Personal Job and PIN protection through a compatible computer driver. The documented OS X procedure uses a four-digit code. Send the private job, go to Print and Print from Job Storage at the printer, select its folder and name, enter the PIN and release the desired copies.
Personal Job explicitly disappears after printing and is lost if power is interrupted. Duplicate names can gain a number or replace an existing file; limited storage can remove older jobs. Save the source elsewhere. The optional 500-GB hard disk is separate from this temporary release routine and is not included simply because security specifications discuss storage encryption.
Use the network without assuming a wireless radio
The exact US page lists AirPrint and Mopria. A local mobile client can reach the printer's Ethernet connection through the same accessible subnet and its wireless access point. That arrangement does not require buying an internal infrastructure radio just to let a networked phone print.
The separately recorded mobile job has no confirmed paper size, input count, duplex setting or PIN feature here. The computer route's Legal duplex and 650-sheet capacity do not transfer automatically. Jetdirect wireless and direct-print accessories remain optional; legacy HP Wireless Direct wording is not evidence that this standard dn includes Wi-Fi Direct.
The front USB host is also distinct from rear computer USB. An administrator must enable Print From USB Drive before the flash-file function works. Neither that port nor generic scanning words in the family table give this print-only machine a scanner, copier or fax.
Check cartridge restrictions and the real workload
The exact M607dn replacement field establishes CF237A/37A at approximately 11,000 declared pages. Generic family 37X/37Y lists and promotional high-yield footnotes do not establish those cartridges for this specific model. HP explicitly describes dynamic security and warns that non-HP chips may fail now or after future changes.
Separately, the original guide documents administrator Cartridge Policy and Cartridge Protection as off by default. Protection permanently pairs subsequently installed cartridges with a printer or fleet; disabling it later does not release previously protected cartridges. Check those settings on an earlier device before moving supplies.
Declared speed is up to 55 one-sided Letter ppm, separately 52 A4. The 5,000–20,000 recommended monthly range is distinct from 250,000 maximum duty. Closed dimensions are 17 inches wide, 18.3 deep and 15 high; original weight figures conflict. Confirm the actual assembly and allow its approximately 40.9-inch fully opened depth rather than treating the closed footprint as working clearance.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
HP declares up to 55 one-sided Letter ppm, separately 52 A4. Recommended use is 5,000–20,000 monthly pages; 250,000 maximum duty is a different limit. No measured job time or mobile duplex performance inferred.
Paper handling
Included multipurpose input holds 100 ordinary sheets and each included lower drawer holds 550 sheets of 20-lb/75-g/m² stock. Actual loading tables positively include Letter, Legal and A4; full selected-size capacity requires all included inputs to hold that size. Set width/length guides, keep below full indicators and accept or Modify the panel size/type to match the computer job. No Stapling Mailbox is included. For ordinary one-sided preprinted stock, front loading is face up/top entering and lower loading face down/bottom at the rear; automatic duplex or enabled Alternative Letterhead Mode changes those directions. Up to ten envelopes use front Manual feed, face up/short postage end leading, after selecting exact size and Envelope type and sending the job. Envelopes do not duplex. Standard total is 650 ordinary sheets. The actual dn column includes automatic duplex, and original detailed orientation tables positively include Letter, Legal and A4. Without optional Stapling Mailbox, automatic-duplex preprinted stock loads front face down/bottom first or lower face up/top at the rear. Compatible Windows driver uses Finishing and Print on both sides; OS X HP driver uses Layout and Two-Sided binding. Lower and automatic-duplex ordinary limits are 60–120 g/m², separate from front 60–200.
Scanning arrangement
This is monochrome print-only hardware with no scanner, document feeder, copy function or fax. Generic scanning words beside the USB host in the family table do not establish a physical scanner.
Computer and mobile connections
Included Gigabit Ethernet and rear USB 2.0 computer device connection with compatible driver. The front USB flash-file host is a separate function, disabled by default until an administrator enables Print From USB Drive. Infrastructure Wi-Fi through the Jetdirect 2900nw and the Jetdirect 3000w accessory are optional. Confirm the actual firmware, compatible host software and cables.
Supplies and declared yields
Exact M607dn replacement list establishes CF237A/37A at approximately 11,000 declared pages, with an approximately 11,000-page cartridge originally listed in the box. Exact ISO/IEC 19752 yield wording controls over unrelated generic color-composite ISO/IEC 19798 footnotes. Generic family 37X/37Y lists do not establish this model. HP explicitly states dynamic security and intended HP-original-chip use; non-HP chips may stop working. The separate administrator Cartridge Policy and Cartridge Protection features are off by default in the guide. Enabled protection permanently pairs subsequently installed cartridges, and disabling it does not release existing protected supplies. No live price, stock, installed remainder or cost per page inferred.
Software and support
The actual original guide supports memory-stored Personal Job with compatible computer driver and PIN protection, separately from the optional 500 GB hard disk. The OS X routine specifies four digits. At the panel, select Print, Print from Job Storage, folder and job, then enter the PIN and release copies. Personal Job explicitly deletes after printing and is lost on power interruption. Duplicate names can be numbered or overwritten, and limited space can remove oldest jobs. No permanent archive, optional disk or fleet badge reader is included in this temporary release claim.
Electrical edition and setup
Exact K0Q15A#BGJ US edition is discontinued, commercial Class A and documented for 100–127 V at nominal 50–60 Hz. Separate high-voltage editions are not dual voltage or convertible. Closed dimensions are 17 inches wide, 18.3 deep and 15 high; the guide’s 380 mm corroborates that height despite its inconsistent inch label. Weight remains unresolved between US 47.7 lb and guide 45.4 lb with toner. Fully opened dimensions reach approximately 40.9-inch depth and 17.8-inch height. Allow ventilation, cables, paper access and service space, and check the actual plate and host driver.
