Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can a USB computer job use ordinary Legal, 650 sheets and PIN release at 20,000 monthly pages?
Qualifies with earlier references enabled and a compatible driver. Both included inputs must contain ordinary Legal stock for the full capacity, and Personal Job deletes after release or power loss.
Explore this need in the finder →Will the standard M607n automatically print both Letter sides without returning a stack?
Fails automatic duplex. The exact original n column says it is not supported; the driver provides an attended manual reload instead.
Explore this need in the finder →Can a compatible AirPrint phone use the local network while the printer stays on Ethernet?
Qualifies with earlier references enabled and the phone on the same reachable subnet. This mobile route does not inherit the computer driver’s paper, capacity, PIN or duplex settings.
Explore this need in the finder →A 650-sheet wired printer with a manual second-side routine
The HP LaserJet Enterprise M607n suits a commercial queue dominated by one-sided monochrome documents. Its useful combination is included Ethernet, rear computer USB, a 550-sheet main drawer and a 100-sheet front input. The important compromise is explicit: HP's original n column does not support automatic duplex. Printing two sides requires a person to collect and reload the first pass.
This review covers K0Q14A#BGJ, the exact discontinued US configuration identified by HP. The documented low-voltage edition uses 100–127 V at nominal 50–60 Hz and carries HP's commercial Class A restriction. Check the actual plate, condition, accessories and a compatible host driver before relying on an earlier machine.
Make the 650-sheet claim match the loaded paper
The standard 650 sheets are 100 in Tray 1 plus 550 in Tray 2. HP gives the lower-drawer count for ordinary 20-lb/75-g/m² stock. Letter, Legal and A4 appear in the original loading tables. Filling both inputs with one selected size establishes its full ordinary supply; keeping forms in the front tray instead reduces the plain-paper reserve.
Use the blue latches to set width and length guides, keep the stack below the fill indicator and let the guides touch without bending it. After closing the drawer, accept the panel's reported size and type only if they are correct; use Modify otherwise. Match those choices in the computer job.
For one-sided preprinted sheets without the optional stapling mailbox, the front tray takes the printed face up with the top entering first. The lower drawer takes it face down with the bottom at the back. Alternative Letterhead Mode changes orientation, so a memorized direction from another setup can produce an inverted form.
Plan a real reload for two-sided documents
In the compatible original Windows driver, open Finishing and select Print on both sides manually. Print the first pass, collect the stack, put it in Tray 1 and follow the panel prompt. That Windows passage does not specify a face direction, and an instruction from a different printer should not fill the gap.
The separate OS X HP-driver procedure removes blank front-tray paper and returns the printed stack with the printed side down. HP warns that this feature might not be available through AirPrint. Neither routine turns this model into an unattended duplex printer.
That distinction matters for a long packet. The printer's declared engine rate does not include the time spent gathering and reloading pages. An actual M607dn configuration is the relevant comparison if unattended second sides are essential.
Use temporary Personal Job release deliberately
The original guide supports memory-stored Personal Job with PIN protection through a compatible computer driver. Select the job-storage mode and private option before sending; the documented OS X routine uses four digits. At the printer, choose Print, Print from Job Storage, then the folder and job, enter the code and release the desired copies.
HP explicitly says Personal Job deletes after printing and is lost when power is interrupted. Duplicate-name behavior can append a number or replace a file, and space pressure can remove older jobs. Keep the source document on the computer. The optional 500-GB hard disk and optional authentication accessories are separate purchases, not included permanent-archive features.
Give mobile jobs their own limits
The exact US specifications positively list AirPrint and Mopria. A supported local arrangement keeps the printer on Ethernet while the compatible phone or tablet reaches the same subnet through its access point. An infrastructure wireless radio is not needed inside the printer for that arrangement.
The recorded mobile route does not confirm a particular paper size, the 650-sheet count, automatic duplex or PIN settings. Computer-driver capabilities are not automatically phone capabilities. Direct wireless accessories remain optional for this n configuration; the older HP Wireless Direct terminology also should not be silently renamed Wi-Fi Direct.
Check envelopes, supplies and room to open the printer
For up to ten envelopes in Tray 1, select the actual size, Envelope type and Manual feed in the compatible Windows driver, send the job, then load face up with the short postage end leading. Envelope duplex is not supported. The separate 75-envelope feeder is optional.
The exact M607n replacement list establishes CF237A/37A at about 11,000 declared pages. A generic family list containing 37X and 37Y does not establish them for this model. Cartridge Policy and Cartridge Protection are administrator features documented as off by default; enabled protection permanently pairs subsequently installed cartridges, even after the setting is later disabled.
HP recommends 5,000–20,000 monthly pages, distinct from 250,000 maximum duty. Declared one-sided speed is up to 55 Letter ppm, separately 52 A4. The exact US closed body is 17 inches wide, 18.3 deep and 15 high. Weight remains unresolved between originals; allow drawer, output, cable and service access before placing it on furniture.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Declared one-sided speed is up to 55 Letter ppm, separately 52 A4. Recommended monthly use is 5,000–20,000 pages; maximum duty 250,000 is a distinct limit. No measured speed or automatic duplex rate inferred.
Paper handling
Included multipurpose input holds 100 ordinary sheets and each included lower drawer holds 550 sheets of 20-lb/75-g/m² stock. Actual loading tables positively include Letter, Legal and A4; full selected-size capacity requires all included inputs to hold that size. Set width/length guides, keep below full indicators and accept or Modify the panel size/type to match the computer job. No Stapling Mailbox is included. For ordinary one-sided preprinted stock, front loading is face up/top entering and lower loading face down/bottom at the rear; automatic duplex or enabled Alternative Letterhead Mode changes those directions. Up to ten envelopes use front Manual feed, face up/short postage end leading, after selecting exact size and Envelope type and sending the job. Envelopes do not duplex.
Scanning arrangement
This is monochrome print-only hardware with no scanner, document feeder, copy function or fax. Generic scanning words beside the USB host in the family table do not establish a physical scanner.
Computer and mobile connections
Included Gigabit Ethernet and rear USB 2.0 computer device connection with compatible driver. The front USB flash-file host is a separate function, disabled by default until an administrator enables Print From USB Drive. Infrastructure Wi-Fi through the Jetdirect 2900nw and the Jetdirect 3000w accessory are optional. Confirm the actual firmware, compatible host software and cables.
Supplies and declared yields
Exact M607n replacement list establishes CF237A/37A at approximately 11,000 declared pages, with an approximately 11,000-page black cartridge listed in the original box. The exact yield footnote identifies ISO/IEC 19752; unrelated generic color-composite ISO/IEC 19798 text is not used. Generic family 37X/37Y entries do not establish M607n compatibility. Actual guide Cartridge Policy and Cartridge Protection are off by default; protection permanently associates subsequently installed cartridges with a device or fleet, and turning the feature off does not release existing protected cartridges. No live stock, installed remainder, third-party firmware guarantee or cost per page inferred.
Software and support
The actual original guide supports memory-stored Personal Job with compatible computer driver and PIN protection, separately from the optional 500 GB hard disk. The OS X routine specifies four digits. At the panel, select Print, Print from Job Storage, folder and job, then enter the PIN and release copies. Personal Job explicitly deletes after printing and is lost on power interruption. Duplicate names can be numbered or overwritten, and limited space can remove oldest jobs. No permanent archive, optional disk or fleet badge reader is included in this temporary release claim.
Electrical edition and setup
Exact US K0Q14A#BGJ is discontinued and commercial Class A. Documented low-voltage input is 100–127 V at nominal 50–60 Hz; the separate 220–240 V edition is not dual voltage or convertible. Exact US closed body is 17 inches wide, 18.3 deep and 15 high. The guide gives matching 380 mm closed height but an inconsistent 17.8-inch label; use the corroborated exact US 15 inches. Weight is unconfirmed because the US page gives 47.7 lb and the guide gives 45.4 lb with toner. Open dimensions reach approximately 40.9-inch depth and 17.8-inch height; allow cables, ventilation and service access. Verify actual plate and compatible driver.
