Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can it capture both sides of Legal originals in color, hold desktop jobs by PIN and provide fax with 1,100 sheets ready?
Yes with compatible Ethernet software, an administrator-configured folder and supported fax setup.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the supplied f package hold 3,100 ordinary sheets?
No. Its documented supplied capacity is 1,100; larger packages require different equipment.
Explore this need in the finder →Is infrastructure Wi-Fi supplied in the base configuration?
No. The appropriate optional radio hardware is required.

The HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M630f combines monochrome output, color scanning, copying and fax in a cabinet-based office station. Its exact B3G85A package includes more paper equipment than the smaller configurations in the family, without the complete Flow finishing arrangement.
That makes the installation part of the buying decision. It is relevant when several people repeatedly print and file documents, rather than when the main requirement is a small device beside one computer. Measure the route into the room as well as the final position.
Plan around eleven hundred supplied sheets
The standard arrangement combines a 100-sheet multipurpose input with two 500-sheet sources and the cabinet. The ordinary total is 1,100 sheets. A photograph of a larger family tower should not be used to assume more supplied input or a finishing mailbox.
Consider assigning a regular stock to each cassette and keeping a clear routine for occasional materials. A second substantial source can reduce paper changes or separate supported sizes, but only when the printer settings agree with what people actually load.
Automatic two-sided output hardware is included. Check the specific paper and driver settings before relying on a mixed report or preprinted form. Envelopes follow their instructed bypass loading routine; accepting an envelope does not make it part of an ordinary duplex batch.
Single-pass capture serves two-sided incoming work
The exact US comparison establishes a 100-sheet single-pass color document feeder on the f. That is useful when information regularly appears on both sides and the office wants automatic capture without planning a separate hand-turning sequence.
The glass and documented feeder range cover ordinary Legal originals as well as Letter and A4. Use the glass for suitable items that should stay out of rollers, and check the original-size instructions before mixing a batch.
Do not transfer the Flow z keyboard, enhanced EveryPage package or embedded OCR simply because the equipment belongs to the same family. Choose the exact capture functions used in daily work. Inspect a complete saved sample for page order, color, edges and missing sheets.
A folder shortcut needs a working destination
The established computer-file route uses Ethernet and an administrator-configured network folder. The share needs a compatible setup, correct path, suitable permissions and valid access. A printer that responds on the network can still fail to deliver a scan if the folder rejects its credentials.
Give the destination a clear panel name and test retrieval with the people who will use it. Check again after changing a server, computer or password. A repeatable filing routine depends on the whole route remaining available.
The computer USB printing connection is separate from scanning to a walk-up memory device. Neither should be treated as confirmation that an arbitrary desktop application can receive scans directly over USB.
Held jobs and fax deserve complete tests
The original instructions describe holding a compatible desktop job and releasing it at the panel with a PIN or password. This can suit shared offices where documents should not wait openly in the output tray. Test submission and collection using the actual driver, rather than assuming every basic or mobile route exposes the same settings.
Analog fax is included in the f package, but it still needs a supported telephone arrangement. Wireless and Direct options require additional hardware. Inspect what is installed instead of accepting a broad network-ready description as proof of cable-free operation.
Inspect the earlier station as a complete purchase
Check repeated feeding, scanner rollers, storage, representative output and supplies. The recommended recurring page range is more useful for workload planning than treating maximum duty as an everyday target. Historical print speed does not establish the condition or complex-job waiting time of a particular unit.
Confirm current software support and the regional electrical plate. Leave room for loading, scanner access, cables and service. Choose the M630f when its supplied paper station, fax and two-sided capture solve recurring office work; compare a smaller arrangement when those functions would mostly sit unused.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Manufacturer declares 60 Letter or 57 A4 monochrome pages per minute. Recommended recurring output is 5,000–28,000 monthly, distinct from 250,000 maximum Letter duty. Scanner image rates are separate; no measured timing is claimed.
Paper handling
Supplied 100-sheet bypass, 500-sheet cassette and additional 500-sheet feeder with cabinet total 1,100 ordinary Letter/Legal/A4 sheets. Larger feeder and finishing packages are separate. Automatic output duplex hardware is included; precise size-specific duplex range is not established here. Envelopes follow the instructed bypass routine.
Scanning arrangement
US exact f matrix confirms 100-sheet single-pass two-sided color ADF. Flatbed and feeder standard range covers ordinary Letter, Legal and A4 through 216×356 mm. Flow z EveryPage, keyboard and embedded OCR are not added. File delivery uses an administrator-configured compatible Ethernet network folder with valid path, access and credentials. USB flash capture does not establish direct computer USB scanning.
Computer and mobile connections
Computer USB and Gigabit Ethernet are supplied. Analog fax is included but needs a supported telephone setup. Wi-Fi, Wireless Direct and NFC require appropriate optional accessories. Verify current desktop and network-folder compatibility.
Supplies and declared yields
Original 81A CF281A or 81X CF281X black cartridge family; match the actual regional equipment and maintenance parts. Declared yield is not remaining toner or current cost.
Software and support
Supplied 320 GB secure hard disk. Original Personal Job procedures establish PIN/password-held jobs and panel Retrieve from Device Memory with compatible desktop software. Cloud services, badge readers and extra authentication hardware are separate decisions.
Electrical edition and setup
Earlier US B3G85A#BGJ model identity. Original body 29×25.3×43.7 inches, 162 lb including cartridge. Allow cabinet, loading, scanner lid and service clearance. Regional voltage editions differ; inspect the actual plate.
