Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can it scan color originals automatically on both sides to a computer folder over Ethernet, with document size flexible?
Yes, with earlier references enabled and the administrator-configured share, credentials and verified access. Exact physical duplex mechanism and duplex-original size list remain unconfirmed.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the base M632h provide office Wi-Fi without buying a wireless accessory?
No. The exact h configuration includes wired networking; wireless networking and peer accessories are optional.
Explore this need in the finder →Can Legal printing qualify with at least 650 standard input sheets?
No. Letter and A4 have 650 confirmed ordinary sheets, but the included Legal path is the 100-sheet multipurpose tray. Optional feeders are excluded.

The HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M632h combines fast monochrome printing with copying and color scanning for a managed office. Its useful distinction is the included hard disk and 150-sheet document feeder within the smaller two-paper-input configuration. It does not include the larger model's finishing equipment, extra paper supply or wireless accessories.
HP's exact US J8J70A#BGJ reference explicitly marks it discontinued, so this is an earlier-model assessment. It is also an FCC Class A commercial device. Its color touchscreen and color scanner do not produce color printed pages: the laser engine uses one black cartridge.
The declared print speed is up to 65 one-sided Letter pages per minute or 61 ppm on A4. HP recommends 5,000–30,000 printed pages monthly, separately from the 300,000-page maximum duty figure. These are maker declarations, not our measured throughput or a reason to run continuously at the maximum.
Scanning to a computer folder needs network preparation
The documented Ethernet arrangement can deliver scans to a shared folder on a computer or server. An administrator must first enable the feature through the Embedded Web Server, supply the destination path and arrange working credentials. The guide provides a Verify Access step. A panel shortcut alone cannot fix a missing share or permission problem.
Once configured, place loose originals face up in the feeder or a suitable original face down on the glass. Open Scan, select Scan to Network Folder, choose the prepared destination and enter the file name. Options include original sides, file type, resolution and orientation. Preview the document if useful, then send it to the folder.
The original specifications establish automatic two-sided feeder capture and color scanning. The reviewed exact evidence does not establish whether this feeder reverses the sheet or scans both sides in one physical pass. It consequently qualifies for ordinary automatic-duplex scanning with document size left flexible, while a single-pass requirement remains unconfirmed.
The original technical sheet separately gives a 216-by-356-mm flatbed maximum and an ADF range beginning at 68 by 147 mm. Letter, Legal and A4 fit the documented ordinary glass and one-sided feeder ranges. The long-document ADF maximum is not carried into a promise about every two-sided original. The USB print interface is not treated as proof of direct computer scanning; the assessed capture workflow uses the configured network folder.
650 blank sheets are included, not 800 or several thousand
The standard print inputs are 100-sheet Tray 1 and 550-sheet Tray 2 on the original 75-g/m², 20-lb ordinary-paper basis. The 150-sheet ADF holds originals and the 500-sheet output area receives printed sheets; neither belongs in blank-paper capacity.
The exact US tray lists support Letter and A4 in both included inputs. Legal uses Tray 1, so its confirmed standard capacity is 100 rather than 650. Extra feeders, a stand, high-capacity input and the 75-envelope cassette are optional.
Automatic print duplex is included. Its exact size list is not established in the reviewed references, so this assessment does not infer Legal duplex from Legal simplex input. Use a compatible driver, choose supported stock and verify the actual two-sided setting. For ordinary envelope jobs, the original guide specifies up to ten in Tray 1, face down with the top edge toward the printer front. Labels instead use Tray 2 or a supported lower cassette.
The included disk supports the actual private-job routine
The exact configuration includes a secure hard disk. The current US reference says at least 500 GB, while the original guide lists 320 GB; the capacity difference is retained without pretending that every unit has the newer disk.
The guide documents Personal Job with a PIN and named release through Print from Job Storage. Select the folder and job at the panel, enter the PIN and start printing. The generic storage introduction mentions a USB flash drive, but does not state the separate-drive prerequisite found in some smaller Pro models. Here the included disk and exact storage feature support base PIN qualification. Confirm the installed driver exposes the required controls.
Accessories, supplies and working space still matter
USB device printing and Gigabit Ethernet are included. Infrastructure Wi-Fi and peer wireless printing need optional accessories, and analog fax is optional. AirPrint and Mopria have a separate supported local-network route; retired cloud-service names are not promised as working services.
HP lists 37A CF237A at 11,000 pages, 37X CF237X at 25,000 and 37Y CF237Y at 41,000 under the stated continuous-printing conditions. These replacement yields are not remaining toner. The body measures 20.15 by 22 by 25.2 inches and weighs 73.2 lb with toner, while open access needs substantially more room. Separate regional electrical editions are listed, so confirm the actual voltage plate before installation.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Maker one-sided printing is up to 65 Letter ppm, separately 61 A4 ppm. Recommended print volume is 5,000–30,000 pages per month, distinct from maximum duty 300,000. Scan image/page rates and later revisions differ and are not substituted for print speed or measured performance.
Paper handling
Included 100-sheet Tray 1 plus 550-sheet Tray 2 totals 650 ordinary 75-g/m², 20-lb sheets. Exact US lists Letter/A4 in both; Legal is confirmed only in Tray 1, so standard Legal capacity is 100. Optional lower inputs, 150-sheet original ADF and 500-sheet output are excluded. Automatic print duplex is positively standard but exact duplex-size range remains unconfirmed. Standard envelope routine: up to ten in Tray 1, face down, top edge toward printer front. The advertised 75-envelope cassette is optional; labels use Tray 2 or supported lower trays, not Tray 1.
Scanning arrangement
Exact non-Flow M632h has glass, 150-sheet feeder, color scanning and electronic automatic two-sided feeder capture. Physical reversing versus single-pass mechanism is unconfirmed; do not borrow Flow EveryPage, keyboard or OCR. Original technical sheet gives flatbed 216 × 356 mm and ADF range 68 × 147 mm to 215.9 × 863.6 mm. Letter/Legal/A4 ordinary glass and simplex ADF sizes are supported; no exact duplex-original size range is inferred from long-document maximum. Capture plan uses configured Ethernet shared-folder delivery to a computer/server, not assumed USB pull scanning.
Computer and mobile connections
Included Hi-Speed USB device printing and Gigabit Ethernet. Host USB and Hardware Integration Pocket are different functions. Wi-Fi networking, Direct/NFC and analog fax need optional accessories in exact M632h; no included wireless or fax plan. AirPrint and Mopria use a supported local network with printer on Ethernet. Mobile plans do not inherit desktop paper, duplex, PIN or capture controls; retired cloud services are not promised.
Supplies and declared yields
Exact US 37A CF237A declared 11,000 pages, 37X CF237X 25,000 and 37Y CF237Y 41,000 under stated continuous-printing conditions. Original brochure yield footnotes mix ISO/IEC 19798 and 19752 references, so no unqualified method equivalence is asserted. High-yield replacements are not included toner remaining. Dynamic security uses an HP chip; no live availability, price, measured yield or cost per page is claimed.
Software and support
Ethernet Scan to Network Folder requires administrator enablement in EWS, a destination UNC path, working share credentials and verification of access. At the panel use Scan, Network Folder, file name and Original Sides/options, preview and Send. Exact included hard disk plus original actual Personal Job/PIN and Print from Job Storage folder/job release supports base PIN. Generic guide mentions USB flash storage but does not establish a separate-drive prerequisite. Driver support must expose the actual routine. Analog fax is optional, base false.
Electrical edition and setup
US J8J70A#BGJ explicitly discontinued; commercial FCC Class A. Standard secure hard disk is positive, but original 320 GB and current US minimum 500 GB differ; verify installed disk rather than guarantee a capacity. Original exact model-number list has J8J07A typo for h; independent HP exact identity and technical document establish J8J70A. Closed body 20.15 × 22 × 25.2 inches, 73.2 lb with toner; full open access 40.5 × 31.7 × 34.1 inches. US page lists separate 100–127 V and 220–240 V editions, not dual voltage; exact voltage option crosswalk unknown.
