The HP LaserJet M110w suits a modest black-document queue needing one 150-sheet input, USB or 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and ordinary mobile printing. Its useful distinction is genuine Wi-Fi Direct as well as router-based wireless. The deciding limitation is two-sided work: pages must be reloaded manually.
This review covers exact US 7MD66F#BGJ, documented for nominal 110–127 VAC at 50–60 Hz. It is not dual voltage. Do not substitute a European electrical or cartridge configuration merely because the front model name matches. A surviving maker page describes this reference configuration without establishing a particular seller's stock or condition.
Set aside room for the paper, not just the closed box
The US closed dimensions are approximately 13.6 inches wide, 7.5 deep and 6.3 high. Its published maximum working dimensions expand depth to 14.17 and height to 11. The original family guide gives a smaller opened depth, so allow the larger US figure plus cable and service space. Weight remains unresolved between its 8.4-lb US field and the guide's 8.2-lb figure.
The single included input supports ordinary Letter, Legal and A4; there is no second drawer or priority slot to add. Standard input is 150 sheets, while output is 100. The exact specification permits 65–120-g/m² input material, but does not state a separate paper-weight basis beside the capacity headline. Thick or special stock should not inherit the ordinary-sheet count.
Remove the existing paper, load an undamaged stack printable side up with the top forward, and slide it in until it stops. Bring the guides against its edges and extend the output support. The original warns against fanning stock or changing it while printing. Select the actual size and type in the compatible computer driver.
For envelopes, clear ordinary stock and center the envelope with its short edge entering and print side up. Flap position changes the specific orientation: the original distinguishes a short-edge flap from a long-edge flap. Follow that diagram instead of copying instructions from a different LaserJet. The guide separately loads a full label sheet face up with its top toward the back.
Choose the computer connection and complete its own setup
USB uses the rear device port and a separately purchased US cable. The documented setup connects the cable, adds the printer through HP Smart and creates or signs into an HP account when prompted. The current US page calls the software the HP app; its footnote requires an account for full functionality and internet access for the described app services. No CD is included.
Router-based wireless is 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n, not a 5GHz-only connection. The original app procedure uses Bluetooth and location permissions during setup, expressly excluding Bluetooth printing. It also documents WPS: press the router button, then hold the printer Wireless button for five seconds within two minutes, and wait for the light to become steady.
Network changes can require restoring setup mode. The original holds Wireless for more than 20 seconds until Attention blinks, then lets the printer restart before adding it again. That is different from the shorter diagnostic-report button hold.
Keep manual duplex and phone printing specific
In the compatible Windows driver, open Layout and select Print on Both Sides Manually. After the first pass, remove unused input stock and return the printed stack printed side down, top first. Continue at the computer and press Resume/Cancel if its Attention light requests it. The original Mac HP-driver routine uses Manual Duplex and the same reload orientation, while warning that the option might not be available through AirPrint.
AirPrint and Mopria support ordinary printing on the same local Wi-Fi network. A separate confirmed route uses AirPrint over Wi-Fi Direct. Turn Direct on in the Embedded Web Server's Networking/Wi-Fi Direct Setup section, choose the printer's wireless name and supply its password when required. The guide allows up to five connected computers or mobile devices.
After direct printing, some phones must reconnect to their normal network. Mobile paper size, input capacity and manual-duplex controls remain unconfirmed here. Wi-Fi Direct's setup PIN authenticates a connection; it is not evidence of private document release. No included PIN job-storage feature is established.
Read scanning, supplies and cartridge restrictions literally
This is print-only hardware. The advertised smartphone scanning belongs to the phone app; it does not add a flatbed, feeder, standalone copier or analog fax. A generic scanner-glass sentence in the shared loading chapter also does not establish a physical scanner.
The exact US replacement is HP 141A W1410A, declared at about 950 pages under continuous-printing ISO/IEC 19752 conditions. The US box names a 141A cartridge without an independently confirmed supplied yield in that field. Do not borrow the European 300-page supplied count or W1420A replacement; the original supply table explicitly separates regions.
Dynamic security accepts new or reused HP chips and blocks non-HP chips, including through firmware updates. Cartridge Policy and permanent Cartridge Protection are separate controls that the original sets off by default. Turning Protection off later does not release cartridges already paired. An app account prompt is not a reason to import HP+ lifetime conditions from an e-suffix printer.
HP recommends 100–1,000 monthly pages, distinct from an 8,000-page maximum duty. One-sided speed is up to 21 Letter ppm, separately 20 A4. The original warns that environmental conditions can trigger cooling pauses. For unattended two-sided batches, physical scanning or a wired network jack, choose a configuration that includes those functions.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Exact US one-sided Letter speed is up to 21 ppm; the exact model technical page separately declares 20 A4 ppm. Recommended monthly use is 100–1,000 pages, distinct from 8,000 maximum duty. Original print chapter warns that environmental conditions can trigger automatic cooling pauses lasting several minutes. No measured speed, quality or reliability result inferred.
Paper handling
One included 150-sheet ordinary input and separate 100-sheet output, with no additional drawer. Exact US lists Letter, Legal and A4 in that input. Selected-size 150 assumes the input holds that ordinary stock. The exact capacity line does not give an independent paper-weight basis; supported input range is 65–120 g/m², and special/thick material must not inherit normal counts. Remove remaining paper, do not fan, load undamaged stock printable side up/top forward, snug guides and extend output. Do not change paper during printing. Actual envelope loading is centered, short edge entering and print side up; short-edge versus long-edge flap changes detailed orientation. Labels use a full sheet face up/top toward the back. Actual Windows Layout manual-duplex and Mac HP-driver Manual Duplex require removing blank stock and returning printed sides down/top first; computer continuation and Resume/Cancel may be required. No automatic duplex.
Scanning arrangement
Exact M110w Functions Print establishes print-only hardware. No scanner, flatbed, document feeder, standalone copy or analog fax. US smartphone-scanning promotion describes the phone app. The shared manual media chapter’s generic scanner-glass sentence and app scan/fax language are not evidence of scanner or fax hardware.
Computer and mobile connections
Included rear USB 2.0 device port and 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n infrastructure Wi-Fi; no Ethernet jack established by actual rear view and exact standard connections. US USB cable is separately purchased. Actual guide setup uses HP Smart, now named HP app on current US page, and prompts account creation/sign-in/registration. Current app footnotes require internet and an account for full functionality; no universal account-free setup promise. Bluetooth/location may assist setup but Bluetooth printing is explicitly unsupported. WPS router button followed within two minutes by five-second printer Wireless hold is the actual alternative procedure. More-than-20-second hold restores wireless setup mode; distinguish from shorter report hold.
Supplies and declared yields
Original exact region table identifies North America HP 141A/W1410A, separate from Europe 142A/W1420A and other 150A regions. Exact US W1410A replacement is declared about 950 pages under continuous-printing ISO/IEC 19752 conditions. The US box names a 141A without a separately established supplied yield here; the European 300-page supplied count is not borrowed. No current price, stock, remaining toner, universal third-party compatibility or cost per page inferred.
Software and support
Use compatible current HP computer driver/app and check the actual OS. No CD is included. Original app setup prompts HP account sign-in/registration; full app functionality has current internet/account conditions. These do not establish HP+ lifetime terms for this non-e model. Dynamic security blocks non-HP chips and may block previously working cartridges through updates, while reused HP chips permit reuse/refill subject to actual conditions. Separate Cartridge Policy and permanent Cartridge Protection are off by default in the original; disabling Protection does not undo existing pairing. No PIN job-storage capability inferred from RAM, Direct setup PIN or administrator password.
Electrical edition and setup
Exact US 7MD66F#BGJ documents nominal 110–127 VAC at 50–60 Hz and explicitly is not dual voltage. Match the actual country/region electrical plate. Closed body is approximately 13.6 inches wide, 7.5 deep and 6.3 high; the original rounds its 189-mm depth to 7.4 inches. US maximum opened dimensions are 14.17-inch depth and 11-inch height; the original instead gives 13-inch depth and 11.1-inch height. Allow the larger applicable working dimensions plus tray, output, cable, ventilation and service access. Weight conflicts between US 8.4 lb and original 8.2 lb with cartridge, so remains unknown. Surviving maker page establishes a reference configuration without stock, price or seller-condition claims.
