Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can configured Wi-Fi monochrome desktop printing provide 150 ordinary Letter sheets at 800 pages monthly?
Qualifies with earlier references enabled and lifetime HP+ account, Internet and Original HP Toner conditions accepted. It prints only and two-sided work is manual.
Explore this need in the finder →Does using USB make automatic duplex available for A4 reports?
Fails. It has no automatic duplexer. USB is supported only after the required setup and still retains the printer Internet/HP+ conditions.
Explore this need in the finder →Can Direct AirPrint also scan color originals into a computer?
Fails that combined need. The Direct route prints, while the original machine has no scanner; phone camera scanning is a separate app activity.
Explore this need in the finder →A small printer with a lasting account commitment
The HP LaserJet M110we can fit a small monochrome printing routine, but its HP+ conditions should be considered before its dimensions. The exact US model, 7MD66E#BGJ, requires an HP account, an Internet connection and exclusive Original HP Toner for the printer's life. HP marks this model discontinued, so assess an earlier machine with those obligations and its actual condition in mind.
The optional Instant Ink enrollment is a separate decision. Its introductory period and later billing have their own terms, and the subscription can be cancelled. Cancelling it does not remove HP+. Likewise, advanced app features can have separate subscription and availability conditions. Do not treat every introductory benefit as a permanent included service.
Wi-Fi setup comes before optional USB printing
The original e-series reference guide explicitly says not to use USB for first setup. Use HP Smart and an Internet connection, complete the account and printer steps, then add USB if that is the computer route you want. The printer must remain connected to the Internet after that change. This is a concrete limitation for a desk without a usable network, even when a USB cable is available.
The Wi-Fi radio uses 2.4 GHz. During setup, the app may ask for Bluetooth and location permissions to find the printer; that does not establish Bluetooth as a printing connection. If discovery fails, follow the exact wireless setup-mode instructions and check the network band before assuming the printer is faulty. There is no included Ethernet arrangement established here.
AirPrint and Mopria support appropriate mobile use on a shared wireless network. Genuine Wi-Fi Direct also supports the original guide's AirPrint peer-printing arrangement. That route connects the job directly to the printer, but it does not cancel the printer's ongoing Internet and account obligations. Mobile routes are assessed separately from desktop paper and manual-duplex controls.
The small body still needs working space
The exact US closed body measures 13.6 by 7.5 by 6.3 inches and is listed at about 8.34 pounds. Maximum dimensions extend to 14.17 inches deep and 11 inches high. Leave that operating space for the paper supply, output support and access, rather than planning a shelf around the closed shell alone.
One input tray holds up to 150 ordinary sheets and supports Letter, Legal and A4. The read sources do not establish the paper-weight basis for that capacity; the separate supported weight range is not a capacity measurement. The 100-sheet output bin is also not additional input.
For ordinary loading, remove other material, place paper face up with its top edge forward, move the guides gently to the stack and extend the output support. Do not fan the sheets or change them while printing. Envelopes and labels use the same tray, so occasional special-paper work involves changing the contents. Follow the flap-specific envelope orientation instead of assuming every envelope loads the same way.
Manual duplex and app scanning are different jobs
The printer has no automatic duplexer. In the documented desktop routine, select manual two-sided printing, let the first side finish, remove unused paper and return the printed stack face down with its top edge first. Continue from the computer and use Resume/Cancel if prompted. Test a small document before relying on the orientation for a report.
The Mac instructions also distinguish the compatible HP driver's manual-duplex controls from AirPrint, where they might be unavailable. A mobile print option therefore does not promise the same attended workflow as the desktop driver.
There is no physical scanner, copier, document feeder or analog fax. The page's scanning and fax language concerns phone/app activities. Even an incidental scanner-glass sentence in the shared manual cannot override the exact engine and parts configuration. Choose a multifunction printer if originals must be captured at the machine.
Volume and supplies
HP rates normal black Letter output up to 21 pages per minute and recommends 100–1,000 pages monthly. The separate 8,000-page duty figure is a maximum, not the workload to plan. These declarations are not our speed or reliability measurements.
The US box identifies a 141A black cartridge. Ordinary W1410A replacement toner is declared around 950 pages under ISO/IEC 19752 continuous printing, with actual yield varying. A separately listed welcome/replenishment kit should not be treated as the standard supplied cartridge. The exact electrical specification supports the documented US low-voltage configuration; still inspect the machine's plate and actual package.
Keep this model for a modest monochrome routine when HP+ and manual handling fit. Choose a documented non-e, automatic-duplex or multifunction alternative when network independence, unattended reports or physical scanning matters more.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Exact US normal black rate up to 21 Letter ppm. The separate 21/20 marketing pair is not an unqualified duplex speed. Recommended monthly range is 100–1,000 pages, versus 8,000 maximum duty. No measured speed or reliability claim.
Paper handling
One included 150-sheet input, with exact Letter/Legal/A4 support; the ordinary capacity weight basis is not established in the read source. Supported media weight of 65–120 g/m² is a separate range. The 100-sheet output bin is not input. Envelopes and labels use the same tray after removing other media; envelope quantity remains unconfirmed. Automatic duplex is explicitly absent. The compatible desktop manual routine returns the printed stack face down, top edge first, then resumes.
Scanning arrangement
Print-only monochrome engine and exact original parts list have no physical scanner, copier, original feeder or analog fax. Phone-app camera scanning/cloud sharing and sending mobile fax do not add printer capture hardware.
Computer and mobile connections
Included 2.4-GHz Wi-Fi and genuine Wi-Fi Direct. The exact e-series guide establishes USB after HP Smart/Internet setup; the printer must remain Internet connected even for USB jobs. No included Ethernet route. Bluetooth/location prompts help mobile setup and do not establish Bluetooth printing. Shared Wi-Fi AirPrint/Mopria and Direct AirPrint are separate supported arrangements.
Supplies and declared yields
The exact US box lists HP 141A black. Replacement W1410A is declared around 950 pages under ISO/IEC 19752 continuous printing, with actual yield varying. The 1,250-page W8006J welcome/replenishment kit is a distinct listed product, not the ordinary included cartridge. Supplied-page yield is not independently established here. The explicit lifetime Original HP Toner requirement is retained.
Software and support
HP+ requires HP account, Internet connection and exclusive Original HP Toner for life. Original e guide forbids first setup over USB and retains Internet on later USB. Instant Ink is optional enrollment with separate cancellation/billing terms; cancellation does not remove lifetime HP+. Some advanced app features have separate subscription/availability conditions. Network-setup PIN and administrator credentials do not establish included private-job PIN release, which remains unknown.
Electrical edition and setup
Exact discontinued US 7MD66E#BGJ. The exact US electrical field positively specifies nominal 110–127 V, 50–60 Hz, supporting the documented US mains configuration; inspect the actual plate. Closed body is 13.6 × 7.5 × 6.3 inches and about 8.34 lb, with cartridge basis unstated; maximum dimensions are 13.6 × 14.17 × 11 inches, so allow operating space. Regional cable inclusion and a separate USB-not-included footnote conflict; verify the actual package. LED display/control terminology does not change the laser engine.
