Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does the US 5670EN provide 600 included A4 sheets for wired color printing?
Yes. The US maker brochure includes a 100-sheet multipurpose source and 500-sheet A4/Letter cassette, used through a compatible USB or Ethernet desktop driver.
Explore this need in the finder →Can its included cassette make that a 600-sheet Legal setup?
No. The included 500-sheet cassette is Letter/A4 only; Legal uses the 100-sheet multipurpose source unless an optional lower feeder is installed.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the ordinary EN include automatic duplex and PIN-secured storage jobs?
No. Automatic duplex is optional and the actual secured-job procedure requires the optional hard disk. Neither is assumed in the included configuration.

The Konica Minolta magicolor 5670EN is an earlier color laser printer, without scanning, copying or fax. Its exact US manufacturer brochure describes a 100-sheet multipurpose source and a 500-sheet cassette, giving 600 included sheets. That is the configuration assessed here.
A Japanese reference for the same model family describes a different input arrangement. A shared model name does not justify mixing the smaller cassette, US specifications and optional features into one imaginary package. Inspect the actual cassette and machine label before applying this assessment to an existing unit.
The 500-sheet cassette is not a Legal reserve
The US brochure specifically lists Letter and A4 for the included 500-sheet cassette. Its multipurpose source also accepts those sizes, making 600 sheets for suitable ordinary Letter or A4 stock. Legal is accepted through the multipurpose source, leaving 100 included Legal sheets.
Optional lower 500-sheet sources can accept Legal. Their capacity belongs to an expanded installation, however, and cannot satisfy a requirement for included capacity. The maximum 1,600-sheet figure assumes two added lower sources.
The actual operating guide distinguishes its 500-sheet and 250-sheet tray variants and requires the loaded size and type to be selected appropriately. Its warning against printing exclusively on special media also matters: broad media compatibility is not approval to run this printer continuously as an envelope or label production machine.
Automatic duplex and finishing are additions
The EN does not include the automatic duplex accessory. The guide explicitly tells the user to verify that the option is physically installed and then declare it in the driver. A two-sided setting shown in a family driver is not sufficient proof.
The optional duplex path has its own plain-paper weight and size conditions. The staple finisher is another separate addition, with storage prerequisites described in the brochure. Photographs of an expanded printer should therefore be checked against the actual installed hardware.
Use the computer port that matches the workflow
Computer USB 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet are included, along with a parallel interface. Compatible PCL and PostScript desktop drivers provide the documented printing route. Confirm operating-system and driver compatibility before relying on a machine of this age.
The USB host port serves different functions. Direct PDF, JPEG and TIFF printing needs the listed optional storage, while direct XPS needs the hard disk specifically. A USB flash-drive claim should not be read as unrestricted storage-free printing of every document format.
Secured jobs require the hard disk
The original guide makes the Proof/Print menu conditional on an optional hard disk. It describes jobs saved from the driver's retention setting and a four-digit password for secured jobs. The ordinary included configuration is therefore not credited with PIN-held printing.
CompactFlash supports several other advanced functions, but the US brochure's detailed footnotes do not assign secured jobs to it. Keep those prerequisites separate rather than assuming that every optional storage device unlocks every listed feature.
Workload and consumable figures need their qualifiers
The brochure distinguishes the 5670EN's speed and starter toner from the slower 5650EN. Its headline rate is a maker declaration rather than a measured short-job result. Regional consumable tables likewise should be read using the actual printer's consumable-type label.
The same US brochure calls 120,000 pages a maximum monthly duty in one place and labels it recommended duty in another. This assessment retains the maximum declaration and leaves a recommended working interval unestablished. Plan maintenance, driver support, service space and suitable moving assistance around the particular installed machine.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
The original US brochure declares 37 ppm for 5670EN versus 31 for 5650EN without an explicit Letter simplex qualifier in that declaration. The indexed operating specification was inspected but its complete 5670EN rate cell was not exposed; strict Letter fields remain unknown. The same brochure calls 120000 maximum duty in its feature text but recommended duty in its table; a recommended interval is not assigned from this conflict.
Paper handling
This is the US brochure configuration: 100-sheet multipurpose input plus a 500-sheet Letter/A4 cassette, 600 included sheets. Legal uses the 100-sheet multipurpose source; optional 500-sheet lower sources can accept Legal. Two lower sources, automatic duplex and staple finishing are options. The Japanese 350-sheet configuration is not merged into this US edition.
Computer and mobile connections
Included Gigabit Ethernet, computer USB 2.0 and parallel are separate from the USB 1.1 host port. Compatible PCL/PostScript desktop drivers are documented. No included Wi-Fi or positively established native mobile printing is assigned.
Supplies and declared yields
The US brochure distinguishes 6000-page 5670EN starter toner from 3000-page 5650EN starters. Replacements are 6000/12000 on a 5% Letter/A4 coverage basis, with independent imaging units. The actual guide has regional supply-life columns, so identify the consumable type from the printer label rather than borrowing a neighboring version.
Software and support
The actual guide makes Proof/Print and four-digit secured jobs conditional on the optional hard disk. CompactFlash supports specified fonts, collation and direct files but is not credited with HDD-only secured jobs. USB memory direct PDF/JPEG/TIFF needs optional HDD or CompactFlash; XPS needs the HDD.
Electrical edition and setup
The actual US maker brochure specifies a 120 V 50/60 Hz version and a 16.5 × 20.7 × 16.5 inch body. Its 37 kg loaded declaration differs from the later guide 44 kg accessory-installation warning; loaded mass remains unknown. Use appropriate moving help, keep the printer level with supplies installed and allow right-door service access.
