A useful fit for

A commercial wired team printing wide-format color documents within 2,500–10,000 recommended monthly pages.

The main tradeoff

It is a 106.5 lb print-only machine; Wi-Fi and extra drawers are optional, and its paper settings need attention when changing formats.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can a wired team print color 11×17 duplex reports from 450 included sheets with confidential release at 9,000 pages per month?

Yes through compatible computer software. Use the US paper setting, matching ordinary stock in the included 150/250/50-sheet sources and MP Cassette mode. The documented recommended ceiling is 10,000 pages/month.

Can the same machine scan an A3 original into the computer?

No. Its A3 support is for printing. The print-only C925de has no scanner glass or document feeder, regardless of its color touchscreen.

Can AirPrint on the wired network be assumed to provide A3 duplex and confidential PIN submission together?

That combined mobile arrangement is unestablished. The exact model lists AirPrint, but its desktop media, duplex and PIN capabilities cannot be assigned to that basic mobile route without supporting instructions.

Wide-format color output for a commercial team

The Lexmark C925de is an earlier color LED printer for a commercial group that needs A3 or 11×17 output alongside ordinary office pages. US part 24Z0000 includes automatic duplex, gigabit Ethernet and a 4.3-inch color touchscreen. Its recommended monthly range is 2,500–10,000 pages, making the recurring workload a more useful planning figure than its much larger maximum duty rating.

This is a substantial print-only machine. LED describes its imaging technology honestly; the color touchscreen does not provide scanning, copying or fax. A team digitizing large originals needs a separately documented scanner or a suitable multifunction alternative.

Use the three included sources with the correct settings

The standard 450-sheet input combines a 150-sheet tray, a 250-sheet tray and a 50-sheet multipurpose feeder on the maker's 75-gsm or 20-pound ordinary-paper basis. The original size tables support Letter, Legal, A4, A3 and 11×17 in these sources, with explicit ordinary-paper duplex support for each.

Some table entries have a practical setup condition: the 250-sheet tray's Letter and 11×17 support requires US settings, while its A4 entry requires metric settings. Check those settings when changing formats. Use the instructed guide positions, orientation and tray size wheel, then verify the actual size and type on the printer. Longer stock also needs its prescribed short-edge loading orientation.

For combined ordinary feeding, match the sources' size and type and use Cassette mode for the multipurpose feeder. A mixed set of three different papers is useful for different jobs, but it is not 450 sheets of one uninterrupted format. Optional 550-sheet drawers can increase capacity, with specific cabinet or caster-base arrangements; they are absent from the standard total.

Envelopes use a separate multipurpose load of up to ten suitable envelopes, flap side up in the instructed orientation. They cannot use automatic duplex. The 250-sheet output bin may need collecting before a full ordinary input load completes, and tray extensions require more space than the closed body.

Choose computer or mobile printing deliberately

USB Type-B connects a computer directly, while included gigabit Ethernet supplies the wired network route. The front Type-A socket supports the documented flash-drive routine and supported file types, rather than replacing the computer port. Wireless, parallel and serial connectivity require optional hardware.

The manufacturer lists AirPrint for this exact model. Basic output can use the included Ethernet connection on a suitable shared network with an app offering printing. Confirm discovery and firmware on the offered unit. That support does not establish that the mobile app exposes A3 duplex or confidential PIN submission, so check those requirements through the actual printing arrangement.

For compatible computer printing, confidential jobs can be held in printer memory until the user enters a four-digit PIN at the control panel. Memory pressure can remove held jobs, and power loss clears jobs held in RAM. The separate limit on invalid PIN attempts and the Job Waiting feature require a working optional hard disk; ordinary memory-based confidential release should not be confused with those controls.

Keep Letter speed distinct from wide-format work

Lexmark declares up to 30 one-sided Letter pages per minute in black or color and separately up to 26 black Letter duplex sides per minute. Those figures do not establish an A3, 11×17 or color duplex rate. Paper handling, document content and the actual selected mode can change a job's timing.

The 200,000-page maximum monthly duty rating is separate from the recommended 10,000-page ceiling. Use the latter when planning sustained work. Likewise, the 1200 IQ image-quality figure should not be treated as the printer's physical resolution, which the specification separately gives as 600×600 dpi.

Check toner, imaging units and the offered configuration

The original US toner and listed replacements declare 8,500 black and 7,500 composite CMY pages under ISO/IEC 19798 on the maker's continuous basis. The four imaging units are separate components with a different life estimate and measurement basis. Inspect those units, the waste toner bottle, fuser and transfer module rather than judging condition from toner alone.

Lexmark marks the C925de discontinued and specifies commercial Class A placement rather than residential use. Its closed body weighs 106.5 pounds. Check suitable support, operating clearance, electrical labeling and the correct voltage-specific replacement parts. Confirm compatible software and the installed configuration before assigning it a regular place in a commercial print workflow.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Maker maximum 30 one-sided Letter pages per minute in black or color, separately 26 black Letter duplex sides per minute. A3, 11×17, A4 and color duplex rates are unestablished here; 1200 IQ is an image-quality measure distinct from physical 600×600 dpi.

Paper handling

Included 150- and 250-sheet trays plus 50-sheet MP feeder total 450 ordinary 75 gsm/20 lb sheets. Letter, Legal, A4, A3 and 11×17 fit these sources and ordinary duplex; the 250-sheet tray needs US settings for Letter/11×17 and metric settings for A4. Match size/type and MP Cassette mode for combined feeding. Envelopes use a separate MP load, never duplex. Output is 250; 2,100 input requires optional drawers.

Scanning arrangement

This color LED print-only configuration has no document glass, feeder, copying or fax. Its 4.3-inch color touchscreen and front flash-drive output do not add document capture.

Computer and mobile connections

Included USB Type-B computer connection, gigabit Ethernet and a front Type-A flash-drive host port. Wi-Fi, parallel and serial need optional hardware. Basic AirPrint operates over a suitable shared network using included Ethernet; built-in Wi-Fi is not assumed.

Supplies and declared yields

US supplied and replacement toner declare 8,500 black and 7,500 composite CMY pages under ISO/IEC 19798 on the maker’s continuous basis. Separate imaging units have a different life basis; their estimate is not a toner yield. Check all four imaging units, waste bottle, fuser and transfer module and match fuser voltage.

Software and support

Compatible computer software can submit four-digit confidential jobs for release from printer memory; memory pressure or power loss can remove held jobs. The separate invalid-PIN limit and Job Waiting require an installed working hard disk. Basic AirPrint media, duplex and PIN options are unestablished and are not borrowed from the computer-driver arrangement.

Electrical edition and setup

Exact US product page specifies commercial FCC Class A use and excludes residential/domestic environments. The 106.5 lb body needs suitable support, airflow and access beyond closed dimensions; optional drawer stacks have specific stand/caster requirements. Nominal mains input and current software support need actual-unit checks.
