The Lexmark CX625ade is an earlier office MFP reference for users who value a 7-inch control screen alongside single-pass duplex scanning. The exact configuration combines color printing, computer scanning, copying and analog fax with wired networking. Its important package distinction is the ade suffix: the hard disk is optional, even though a related adhe configuration supplies one.
Lexmark marks US part 42C7780 discontinued and explicitly identifies it as an FCC Class A device not intended for residential or domestic environments. Check the intended location, regional unit and actual installed accessories. A current listing, stock claim, warranty entitlement or individual machine's condition is outside what these original specifications establish.
Single-pass originals and the glass are separate routes
The feeder holds up to 100 original sheets on the stated 20-pound or 75-gsm basis and explicitly uses single-pass duplex capture. The service manual supports Letter, Legal and A4 in the feeder while excluding Legal, Oficio and Folio from the glass. A book page or fragile item suitable for the flatbed therefore has a different size constraint from a compatible loose Legal packet.
For Letter, the declared simplex scan figures are 50 black or 32 color sides per minute. Single-pass duplex is separately 100 black or 64 color sides per minute. A4 has its own 47/30 simplex and 94/60 duplex figures. These are maker declarations rather than measured results from this article; the fastest duplex black rate is not a color rate, a sheet rate or a print-engine rating.
Printing volume does not change included input
One-sided Letter printing is rated at up to 40 pages per minute in either black or color. Automatic print duplex is separately 20 Letter sides per minute, with Letter, Legal and A4 positively supported. Lexmark recommends 1,500–10,000 printed pages monthly. The distinct 100,000-page maximum duty ceiling should not replace that ordinary workload range.
The base paper arrangement remains a 250-sheet main tray plus a one-sheet manual feed, stated as 250+1 at the specified paper weight. The 100-sheet document feeder holds originals and adds no printing input. Optional expansion to 1450+1 requires the 650-sheet duo assembly and an additional 550-sheet lower drawer. Verify what is supplied, the supported stand arrangement and the driver's installed-options settings. Envelopes use a separate one-sided media routine rather than document duplex.
Configure each connection and service deliberately
The exact US page positively documents scanning to USB-connected or network-connected computers. Use the Type-B interface for a computer cable, or gigabit Ethernet for sharing. Network ScanBack uses a configured profile on a suitable common network, and compatible Windows or Mac scanning tools have their own setup. Flash-drive scanning at a Type-A port remains a separate destination.
AirPrint and Mopria are documented network printing options. A phone can use office Wi-Fi while this printer uses Ethernet; the optional MarkNet N8372 radio is still a separate purchase. Compatible protected printing submits a confidential job for PIN release at the panel. Check the actual driver or supported PIN submission workflow instead of treating every application as equivalent.
The original exact fax matrix confirms analog fax, requiring a supported active phone line and completed setup. Ethernet is not that telephone connection. Separate etherFAX or FoIP arrangements need their own service, registration, firmware or license conditions. Likewise, searchable or highly compressed PDFs carry optional OCR/storage requirements that should remain attached to those file-format claims.
Match the package, supplies and body
The service configuration table explicitly distinguishes CX625ade from CX625adhe, with standard disk and headphone features listed for the latter. Do not transfer those inclusions based on a shared screen size. The exact ade body is 17.4 inches wide, 23.9 deep and 18.2 high at 60 pounds; that depth differs from CX622. Add working clearance and check the actual electrical label and cord.
Supplied toner is declared at 3,000 black pages and 2,000 pages for each color under ISO/IEC 19798. The compatible US list includes 78C1UK0 black at 10,500 pages and 78C1UC0, 78C1UM0 and 78C1UY0 colors at 7,000 each.
