A useful fit for

A 3,000–16,000-page monthly group needing at least 1,000 included ordinary sheets, wired duplex and compatible protected computer jobs.

The main tradeoff

The added drawer raises body height; Wi-Fi and the full 2,300-sheet maximum still need options, and this is not the touchscreen dte.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can Ethernet support Legal duplex, PIN release, 1,200 included sheets and 15,000 monthly pages?

Yes with earlier references enabled and compatible protected-job software. The US dtn package actually includes the extra 550-sheet drawer; original drawer and duplex tables support Legal.

Will the included package satisfy 1,500 A4 input sheets?

No. Included input is 1,200; further drawers are optional even though the maximum reaches 2,300.

Will it fit a 15-inch maximum unit-body height?

No. This actual dtn package is 16.3 inches high before additional working clearance; a shorter base engine is a different configuration.

A real included-drawer package

The Lexmark MS610dtn is an earlier monochrome printer package for a group that needs more paper already installed. Exact US part 35S0450 combines an MS610dn engine with an included additional 550-sheet tray. Its 550-sheet main drawer, second 550-sheet drawer and 100-sheet multipurpose feeder total 1,200 sheets on the stated 20-pound or 75-gsm basis.

That is a meaningful package distinction, rather than a maximum reached only through an unspecified future purchase. Lexmark marks the model discontinued, so inspect the actual offered configuration and included drawer. The dtn has a 2.4-inch non-touch color LCD; it must not be confused with the differently suffixed touchscreen dte.

Match capacity to the actual paper load

The original paper table supports Letter, Legal and A4 in the standard and added drawers, multipurpose feeder and automatic-duplex path. A suitable ordinary-paper load can use the combined 1,200-sheet capacity, provided the guides and size/type settings match the intended routine. Different stock should remain explicitly configured rather than being substituted accidentally.

Tray linking depends on matching size and type. Legal loading extends the length guide beyond the base, so the closed-body depth is not all the operating space required. Suitable envelopes use a separate one-sided multipurpose routine; the large ordinary-paper capacity does not make envelopes main-drawer or automatic-duplex stock.

Maximum input reaches 2,300 with further optional drawers. Do not call that the supplied capacity, even though this particular package already has one added tray. The separate output bin holds 250 sheets, so collection can still need attention during a long queue. Confirm installed options in the driver as well as on the physical machine.

The extra drawer changes physical fit

The exact dtn body is 15.7 inches wide, 15.0 deep and 16.3 high at 45.0 pounds. A base MS610dn is shorter, while a touchscreen package has different dimensions again. Use this actual package's figures when planning a shelf, desk or cabinet, then allow loading, extended guides and service access.

Inspect the unit's electrical label and correct cord, regional supplies and the condition of the installed paper hardware. A historical package list establishes what the original configuration included, not what every secondhand seller supplies. Verify the identity and function of the additional drawer before relying on its capacity.

Protected computer jobs and shared-network printing

Gigabit Ethernet, USB Type-B and a front Type-A flash-drive interface are included. The box explicitly identifies the MS610dn base engine, whose named guide documents compatible Print and Hold jobs, a computer-set four-digit PIN and local panel release. Memory and expiration conditions apply; ordinary documented protected jobs do not require a hard disk.

AirPrint is explicitly listed for the exact US package and can use suitable shared networking while the printer is wired. Wi-Fi requires an optional MarkNet adapter. Confirm firmware, compatible devices and network discovery rather than assuming an included radio or Wi-Fi Direct routine. The front flash-drive path has separate FAT-format, file-type and permission conditions.

Volume, speed and supplies remain separate decisions

Recommended monthly volume is 3,000–16,000 pages. The exact US page separately gives a 175,000-page maximum duty figure; it is not a regular monthly target. Maximum one-sided Letter output is declared at 50 pages per minute, with duplex separately 22 Letter sides per minute. These are manufacturer modes, not measured application performance.

The original US starter toner declares 6,000 pages. Listed 50F replacements reach 20,000 under ISO/IEC 19752, while the separate 60,000-page imaging unit has its own job and coverage conditions. Match cartridge region and Return Program terms rather than assuming yield establishes present ownership cost. Choose different hardware for scanning, copying, fax or color output; the dtn remains print-only monochrome.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Manufacturer maximum 50 one-sided Letter pages/minute; automatic duplex separately 22 Letter sides/minute. Declared modes, not article measurements.

Paper handling

Exact US package includes MS610dn engine 550-sheet drawer, another included 550-sheet tray and 100-sheet multipurpose feeder, total 1,200 at 20 lb/75 gsm. Letter, Legal and A4 fit both drawers, multipurpose and automatic duplex. Match guides and linked size/type; Legal loading extends beyond the body. Suitable envelopes use a separate one-sided multipurpose routine. 2,300 maximum needs further optional drawers.

Scanning arrangement

Print-only monochrome laser hardware, without document scanning, copying, fax or an ADF. A color display or mobile software does not add those functions.

Computer and mobile connections

Included gigabit Ethernet, USB Type-B computer and front Type-A flash-drive interface. Only front host supports the documented FAT/file-restricted flash routine. MarkNet Wi-Fi is optional. AirPrint uses suitable shared networking; no Wi-Fi Direct setup is established.

Supplies and declared yields

US supplied Return Program toner 6,000 pages. 50F1000 replacement 1,500; 50F1H00 5,000; 50F1X00 10,000; 50F1U00/50F0UA0 20,000 under ISO/IEC 19752. Separate 50F0Z00/50F0ZA0 imaging unit 60,000 uses its own job/coverage basis. Match regional restriction and Return Program terms.

Software and support

2.4-inch non-touch color LCD and keypad. Named original guide documents compatible Print and Hold jobs, a computer-set four-digit PIN and panel release, with expiration and memory-resource conditions. Ordinary protected jobs do not require a disk. Confirm current driver/application support; mobile printing is not automatically PIN submission.

Electrical edition and setup

Exact US configuration is separately established. Nominal mains input remains unestablished in the read sources; inspect the actual rating label and correct cord. Body dimensions exclude extended Legal guides, loading and service clearance.
