A useful fit for

A 5,000–75,000-page monthly group needing approved specialty stock alongside ordinary-paper duplex and protected computer jobs.

The main tradeoff

Media approval and special toner identity matter; larger input, finishers and wireless are optional, and exact envelope approval remains unresolved.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can Ethernet computer printing provide Legal duplex, PIN release, 650 included sheets and 70,000 monthly pages?

Yes with earlier references enabled and compatible protected-job software. The exact US configuration and original ordinary-paper table support that arrangement.

Do the read sources positively establish an exact MS711 envelope routine?

No positive conclusion is established. Generic shared loading instructions do not resolve the exact US and manual media tables; obtain exact media approval before making envelopes essential.

Does the 4,400-sheet maximum mean 1,000 included A4 sheets?

No. The included configuration has 650 sheets; larger paper hardware is optional.

A specialty-media configuration with ordinary duplex support

The Lexmark MS711dn is an earlier monochrome workgroup printer aimed at approved specialty media as well as ordinary documents. Exact US part 40G0610 includes automatic duplex, gigabit Ethernet, USB Type-B and 650 sheets of combined input. Its 5,000–75,000-page recommended monthly range makes the actual paper routine and correct supply choice central to the decision.

Lexmark marks it discontinued. Verify the offered unit, regional consumables, installed options and usable software. The official hardware classification is print-only black and white. A color control display and shared software documentation do not provide a scanner, copier, fax or color-printing engine.

Specialty support requires specific stock and toner

The exact page lists label materials and other specialty media, but that is not permission to feed arbitrary adhesive stock through every source or duplex path. Use the proper media guide, loading orientation and settings for the intended material. Confirm the actual stock before committing to a large recurring job.

The toner record is also specific. Original US starter toner declares 10,000 pages, while listed label-application replacements include 52D1H0L at 25,000 and 52D1X0L or 52D0XAL at 45,000 under ISO/IEC 19752. Those suffixes matter. A generic cartridge family name should not replace the exact approved regional supply.

The separate 100,000-page imaging unit uses its own job and coverage conditions. Declared toner or imaging yield is not a current cost-per-page calculation, nor a prediction for every label design. Check regional restrictions and Return Program terms along with the actual supply identifier.

Ordinary paper capacity is clear; envelopes need confirmation

The 550-sheet drawer and 100-sheet multipurpose feeder total 650 sheets on the stated 20-pound or 75-gsm basis. The original table supports Letter, Legal and A4 in both inputs and automatic duplex. Set the guides and paper size/type to match the load, and distinguish ordinary-paper duplex from specialty-stock permissions.

Envelope approval remains unresolved in the read exact-model material. The shared manual contains general envelope-loading text, but its precise media table and the US model list do not establish the exact routine. Obtain model-specific approval if envelopes are essential rather than treating generic instructions as a positive compatibility promise.

Maximum input of 4,400 requires optional paper hardware, and finishing or output expansion is also optional. Confirm the actual installed drawers, recognized driver options and required stability furniture. The included output bin holds 550 sheets. A large input stack does not remove collection and replenishment from the workflow.

Connections and protected computer output

Gigabit Ethernet and USB Type-B provide conventional computer printing. The front Type-A host supports a separate flash-drive routine with FAT-format, file-type and permission conditions. Internal MarkNet wireless, parallel and serial interfaces require options, so a base arrangement should not assume those connections exist.

The original guide documents compatible Print and Hold submission, a computer-set four-digit PIN and release at the printer panel. Memory and expiration conditions apply; ordinary protected jobs do not require an optional disk. Check the complete driver and application routine on the intended unit. AirPrint is explicitly listed for suitable shared networking, while other exact mobile protocols need their own confirmation.

Use mode-specific figures and allow operating space

Maximum one-sided Letter output is declared at 55 pages per minute, with automatic duplex separately 34 Letter sides per minute. These are manufacturer modes, not article measurements or a guarantee about a particular label task. The 300,000-page maximum duty cycle is separate from the 75,000-page recommended monthly ceiling.

The body measures 16.7 inches wide, 20.1 deep and 16.5 high at 52.4 pounds. Allow media loading and service clearance, inspect the electrical label and verify usable software. Compare a simpler ordinary-paper model when specialty stock is unnecessary, or a specifically approved alternative when an unresolved media requirement determines the purchase.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Manufacturer maximum 55 one-sided Letter pages/minute; automatic duplex separately 34 Letter sides/minute. Exact label/media settings can differ; no measured performance is claimed.

Paper handling

Included 550-sheet main drawer plus 100-sheet multipurpose feeder total 650 at 20 lb/75 gsm. Original table supports Letter, Legal and A4 in both inputs and automatic duplex. Use approved specialty stock and exact media settings; arbitrary labels are not automatically duplexable. Envelope approval for exact MS711 is unestablished because generic loading text does not resolve the precise media list. 4,400 input and finishers require options.

Computer and mobile connections

Included gigabit Ethernet, USB Type-B computer and front Type-A flash host. Original flash routine has FAT/file/permission conditions. Internal MarkNet N8350 Wi-Fi, parallel and serial interfaces are optional. AirPrint is explicit on the exact US page for suitable shared networking; no Wi-Fi Direct or exact Mopria setup established.

Supplies and declared yields

US supplied Return Program toner 10,000 pages. Exact label-application replacements 52D1H0L at 25,000 and 52D1X0L/52D0XAL at 45,000 under ISO/IEC 19752. Separate 52D0Z00/52D0ZA0 imaging unit 100,000 uses its own job/coverage conditions. Match regional supply restriction and Return Program terms; do not substitute unrelated ordinary 52D cartridges.

Software and support

2.4-inch non-touch color LCD and keypad. Original guide 74–75 documents compatible Print and Hold jobs, computer-set four-digit PIN and panel release with memory/expiration conditions. Ordinary protected jobs do not require optional disk. Confirm current driver, application and actual specialty-media settings.

Electrical edition and setup

Exact US part and body measurements established; nominal MS711 mains remains unestablished in read sources. Inspect actual electrical label and correct cord. Allow loading, extended stock and service access; optional finishing configurations need appropriate stability furniture.
