Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can I duplex monochrome Legal documents over Ethernet at a 25,000-page monthly requirement?
Yes, with earlier models enabled. The exact current US page recommends up to 50,000 monthly pages, and the original paper table supports Legal in the included inputs and automatic duplex path.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the expanded 4,400-sheet maximum mean I receive at least 1,000 input sheets in the standard package?
No. The included configuration is 650 sheets. Higher capacities require compatible additional drawers, which are outside this package.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I require a Wi-Fi connection without adding an adapter?
No. The exact standard ports are USB and Ethernet. The MarkNet wireless adapter is listed as optional.

The Lexmark MS810dn makes sense for a shared office queue centered on black-and-white reports, forms and correspondence. It adds integrated automatic two-sided printing to the basic wired MS810 concept without requiring the larger touch-screen interface of the MS810de. Its main tradeoff is the package boundary: this is a print-only machine, and the standard network connection is Ethernet rather than built-in Wi-Fi.
The exact US part is 40G0110, which Lexmark now marks discontinued. Use this assessment when maintaining an existing unit or checking a particular earlier-model offer. Confirm that the seller's machine actually has the dn suffix, its duplex hardware, its included inputs and the correct electrical edition. A photograph of a related MS810 with extra drawers does not settle those questions.
Use the two speed figures for different jobs
Lexmark declares up to 55 one-sided Letter pages per minute and a separate automatic-duplex rate of 33 Letter sides per minute under its ISO method. The distinction matters when a team moves from individual one-sided sheets to long two-sided reports. Neither figure is a print-speed result measured for this article, and the engine headline does not describe every file, driver or network condition.
The currently read model-specific US page recommends 3,000–50,000 pages per month. The preserved earlier series brochure instead gives a 20,000-page recommended maximum. The exact current model page supplies the recommendation used here, while the older statement remains relevant to checking historical support guidance. Neither recommendation should be replaced by the separate 250,000-page maximum duty cycle. That larger number is not an everyday workload target or a guarantee about an individual used printer.
Automatic duplex includes Legal, with the right setup
The original MS81x paper table confirms Letter, Legal and A4 in the 550-sheet tray, multipurpose feed and duplex path. It therefore supports ordinary two-sided Legal printing rather than merely allowing a long sheet through once. Select the actual loaded size and appropriate media type in the printer and driver. Envelopes use a separate instructed one-sided routine and do not acquire duplex support from the ordinary-paper list.
The standard capacity is a 550-sheet main tray plus a 100-sheet multipurpose feeder, totaling 650 sheets at the maker's 20-pound or 75-gsm basis. The 4,400-sheet figure requires additional equipment. If an office needs to keep two substantial paper stocks loaded, examine the optional tray arrangement or compare the MS810dtn package, which explicitly includes another 550-sheet drawer. Finishing devices and the external scanner pictured in family material are also optional.
Connections and job release
Ethernet provides the normal shared-network route. USB Type-B connects one computer directly; the front Type-A USB port is intended for flash media. The optional MarkNet adapter is not evidence of built-in wireless hardware. Choose the actual connection around the intended location rather than assuming that all network-ready printers contain a Wi-Fi radio.
The exact specification includes AirPrint, so a mobile device can use an appropriate reachable shared network even when the printer itself is Ethernet-attached. A USB-only arrangement does not provide that same mobile route. Other generic mobile instructions in the shared guide carry model qualifications and are not all assigned here. For supported desktop drivers, confidential Print and Hold jobs use a four-digit PIN and release at the control panel. Printer memory holds those jobs; memory pressure can remove them, and an optional hard disk is not assumed.
Supplies, placement and choosing another arrangement
The stated original starter toner yield is 10,000 pages under ISO/IEC 19752. Replacement US examples include 52D1000 at 6,000 declared pages and 52D1H00 at 25,000. The imaging unit is separate, and its yield uses a job-length and coverage basis that differs from a toner declaration. Check cartridge region and Return Program conditions; these figures do not establish a current price per page.
The body measures 16.7 inches wide, 20.1 deep and 16.5 high, at 52.2 pounds. Allow room for loading, ventilation, cables and service, as well as any installed options. The dn is a sensible comparison for an existing MS810n when automatic duplex is the missing requirement. If scanning, copying or cable-free placement is essential, assess a package that explicitly supplies that function rather than adding it mentally to this wired print-only configuration.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Maker maximum 55 one-sided Letter pages/minute; automatic duplex separately 33 Letter sides/minute, under ISO/IEC 24734 conditions.
Paper handling
Included 550-sheet tray and 100-sheet multipurpose feeder, total 650 at 20 lb/75 gsm. Letter, Legal and A4 supported in those inputs and automatic duplex. Extra drawers, scanner and finishers are optional.
Computer and mobile connections
USB Type-B computer printing and gigabit Ethernet are included. Front USB Type-A is for flash media. MarkNet N8350 Wi-Fi, parallel and serial connections are optional; they are not part of the reviewed standard arrangement.
Supplies and declared yields
US supplied starter toner: 10,000 declared one-sided ISO/IEC 19752 pages. Replacement 52D1000 is rated 6,000 pages and 52D1H00 25,000; regular 52D0HA0 is a separate option. Imaging-unit yield is separate from toner and depends on the stated job/coverage conditions. Geographic cartridge restrictions and Return Program conditions apply.
Software and support
Use a compatible current print driver. PIN-held jobs use the driver Print and Hold function and printer control panel; jobs may be deleted if memory is needed. An optional hard disk is not counted as included. Historical cloud-service listings are not current availability promises.
Electrical edition and setup
US SKU and low-voltage regional arrangement only. Original MS810 technical reference gives nominal 100–127 V at 47–63 Hz for low-voltage models and separately lists high-voltage editions. Verify the actual unit label; do not use a voltage converter.
