B411dn Black (91659803, 120V)Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible desktop network needing ordinary monochrome printing and Letter or A4 automatic two-sided output.

The main tradeoff

Legal duplex is manual, the front input handles one sheet, and some family functions belong only to B431.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the documented Ethernet PCL route combine Letter automatic duplex with 250 suitable Letter cassette sheets?

Yes. The exact operating duplex procedure supports Letter from tray 1 with suitable60–104 gsm stock and a compatible PCL installation.

Does ordinary Legal support also establish automatic Legal duplex?

No. The operating guide restricts automatic duplex to Letter/A4; Legal is listed separately for manual two-run duplex.

Is the optional second cassette part of an included 781-sheet reserve?

No. The standard B411dn includes250 cassette positions plus one manual position; the 530-sheet cassette is optional.

The exact US configuration is established separately

The OKI B411dn is an earlier monochrome LED printer with included Ethernet, USB and parallel interfaces. Its original research lead includes a Japanese discontinued-product page, but that page is not used to infer US electrical compatibility. The Americas maker brochure separately identifies B411dn Black part 91659803 as a 120V configuration.

The exact unit label therefore matters. A shared model name can span electrical versions, and a supported operating arrangement should begin with the actual machine rather than a neighboring regional listing.

Automatic duplex has a smaller size list than ordinary printing

The operating guide makes a clear distinction that a broad brochure summary can obscure. Ordinary printing supports Letter, Legal and A4. Its automatic duplex procedure, however, names only Letter and A4, using tray 1 or an optional second cassette and suitable stock from 60–104gsm.

Legal appears in the separate manual-duplex section. That routine requires a second trip through the printer and is not an unattended automatic Legal route. A requirement for automatic two-sided Legal documents therefore is not met by the documented plan.

The guide also restricts manual duplex to the Windows PCL driver. A setting available in that workflow should not be assumed to exist in every Mac or other-language installation.

The manual input is one sheet

The included cassette holds up to 250 suitable ordinary sheets. The front manual input accepts one sheet, unlike the larger multipurpose arrangement on B431. The standard total is consequently 251 positions, with the cassette providing the useful unattended reserve.

The optional 530-sheet cassette is not included. If fitted, its driver setting and loaded stock must agree with the actual accessory. Do not take the family's maximum capacity as the amount supplied with an ordinary B411dn.

Legal and A4 loading extend the cassette. Leave room for that extension, and adjust the guides rather than forcing a longer stack into the closed arrangement. For exact-size capacity matching, this assessment conservatively counts the 250 cassette positions.

Use the right material and exit

Suitable envelopes and special sheets use the manual source and rear output according to the guide. Envelopes must not be duplexed. Labels need a fully covered carrier and compatible heat-resistant construction; paper fitting the slot does not establish that its coating or adhesive is suitable.

The rear exit takes priority when open and changes page stacking order. After a special-media job, restore ordinary size and material settings. The driver can override corresponding panel or Configuration Tool values, so the next application's preferences need checking too.

Language and controls remain model-specific

The B411 includes the documented PCL and other listed emulations, while PostScript belongs to B431. Its two-line display and simple controls use the Configuration Tool for more detailed settings. Verify the exact driver and tool on the intended computer.

A working Ethernet connection does not establish native mobile printing, and this is print-only hardware. It has no glass, document feeder, copier or fax route.

Keep workload conflicts and consumable assumptions visible

The exact operating table gives a lower maximum monthly duty than the shared brochure. The conservative operating value is retained, and neither figure becomes a recommended monthly interval. The speed table names Letter and A4 separately without establishing all simplex test conditions here.

The guide also distinguishes starter toner from replacement toner and reserves the larger B431 cartridge for that other model. Drum-life estimates change substantially between simplex and duplex job patterns. Those figures help plan maintenance, but do not describe the remaining condition of an individual printer.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

The exact operating table declares 35 pages/minute Letter and 33 A4, but the read rate table does not positively specify one-sided test conditions, so a verified Letter-simplex rate remains unassigned. The operating guide gives 50,000 maximum monthly duty for B411, versus 80,000 in the shared brochure; the more conservative exact operating value is retained, not a recommended interval.

Paper handling

The exact B411dn has a 250-sheet ordinary cassette and single-sheet manual input, giving 251 standard positions. Letter, Legal and A4 are documented ordinary sizes; exact-size matching conservatively credits250 cassette positions. Actual automatic duplex supports only Letter/A4 from tray 1 or optional tray 2 at 60–104 gsm. Legal is in the separate manual-duplex list and must not be credited to automatic duplex. The 530-sheet second cassette is optional.

Scanning arrangement

This is a monochrome LED print-only machine, with no integrated glass, ADF, computer scanning, copying or fax route.

Computer and mobile connections

Exact dn includes Ethernet, USB and parallel. The d configuration’s network distinction and the Japanese product record are separate from the positively documented US Black120 V ordering row. Native mobile protocols and ordinary wireless remain unestablished.

Supplies and declared yields

The exact guide distinguishes 2,000-page starters from 4,000-page replacement B411 toner under ISO/IEC 19752; B431-only 10,000 toner is excluded. The separate B411 drum estimates vary sharply with simplex/duplex and job length:30,000 at three-page simplex jobs versus 10,500 at six-page duplex jobs, with other assumptions listed. These are not monthly workload recommendations.

Software and support

The B411 supports the exact PCL/emulation column, with PostScript reserved for B431. Its two-line LCD and simple indicators work with the Configuration Tool for detailed settings. The original computer procedure explicitly distinguishes automatic from manual two-sided PCL printing; manual duplex is Windows PCL-only. Driver settings override panel/tool values. Check current driver and application compatibility.

Electrical edition and setup

The original Americas brochure maps B411dn Black91659803 to 120 V; an original Japanese page does not establish the same electrical unit. Body dimensions are 15.2 × 14.3 × 9.6 inches before paper extension, rear output and service clearance. Loaded weight is unestablished. Legal/A4 loading extends the cassette and changes working depth.
