Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can one documented Windows PCL Ethernet plan combine Legal automatic duplex, 350 suitable Legal positions and panel password release?
Yes. The exact manual supports these functions in the same desktop route, with suitable60–120 gsm stock, matching settings and enough internal job memory.
Explore this need in the finder →Can a basic native AirPrint request use the included wired network without an optional printer wireless module?
Yes. The model-specific infrastructure instructions allow the printer to connect to the access point or router by wire on the same network. Specific mobile paper and duplex selections need their own check.
Explore this need in the finder →Can native AirPrint borrow the Windows PCL confidential PIN-release setting?
No. The documented authentication workflow belongs to compatible Windows desktop drivers and is not established for the native mobile plan.
Explore this need in the finder →A wired monochrome printer with separate desktop and mobile workflows
The OKI B432dn is an earlier monochrome LED printer with included USB, Ethernet and automatic duplex. The exact original HTML manual covers B412, B432 and several related configurations, with model-specific exclusions. For B432, its ordinary paper reserve is a 250-sheet cassette plus a 100-sheet multipurpose tray.
Wired desktop printing and native AirPrint are both documented, but they do not expose the same controls. Choosing the actual connection and driver is especially important when confidential release is part of the job.
Password release is a complete Windows-driver process
The authentication chapter describes storing a job in internal memory, entering its password at the panel and then printing or deleting it. Its Windows PCL procedure sets Secure Print, a job name and password before submission. The job is sent but does not immediately print.
The guide also provides a Windows PS procedure, while explicitly excluding Windows XPS and Mac drivers from this authentication function. Internal memory can fill, in which case the job is not executed. A successful ordinary print therefore does not prove that the confidential workflow is configured correctly.
Confirm the intended driver, send a harmless sample and verify panel release before using it for sensitive documents. A general administrator password or native mobile queue is not an equivalent job-release arrangement.
Legal duplex is positively documented
The exact duplex chapter includes Letter, Legal and A4 with suitable stock from 60–120gsm. It gives the relevant desktop-driver controls and requires face-down output; face-up delivery is unavailable for duplex.
The multipurpose tray accepts heavier simplex material, but that larger weight range does not extend to duplex. Envelopes and labels have their own restrictions and cannot become two-sided jobs merely because the selected size fits the machine.
The driver takes priority over matching panel paper settings. After changing to special stock, check the next application's source, size and weight preferences rather than relying on an unchanged physical tray.
Count capacity by the paper actually allocated
The manual explicitly supports ordinary Letter, Legal and A4 in both standard sources. Their combined 350 positions assume suitable same-size stock. If the multipurpose tray holds another material, those positions are not simultaneously available for a Legal packet.
The extra 530-sheet cassette is an option. The base count does not include it, and a larger assembled unit needs its own hardware and driver check. The ordinary output areas are also smaller than the combined input, so longer packets still need attention.
AirPrint does not require a wireless module in a wired printer
The model's own manual confirms AirPrint and describes infrastructure networking. A mobile device can reach a printer connected by wire to the same network; optional printer Wi-Fi is a separate hardware choice.
The mobile instructions display the functions supported by the selected device. Specific paper and duplex choices are not borrowed from the Windows PCL plan here, and its confidential PIN workflow is not carried into AirPrint. Verify the actual application's choices when those details matter.
Allow for extended paper and separate supply declarations
The outline chapter distinguishes Letter, A4 and Legal tray depths. Legal 14 extends farther than the compact Letter body, with loading and service clearance still additional. Check the electrical label as well; the guide distinguishes low- and high-voltage versions.
The engine table's copy-mode wording does not establish integrated copying hardware. This remains print-only. The included starter also has a lower declaration than the larger replacement toner options. Maximum monthly duty, average-use assumptions and drum life are separate measures, not a single sustained-workload promise.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
The exact guide gives B43242 ppm for Letter and 40 A4 in copy-mode engine conditions, not an integrated copier claim. The read table does not explicitly establish simplex test conditions, so a Letter-simplex rate remains unassigned. The Australian official page gives 80,000 maximum monthly duty; its 5,000 recommendation and the guide’s3,000 average-use assumption are not silently made a US recommended interval.
Paper handling
The exact manual supports 250 suitable80 gsm sheets in tray 1 plus 100 in the multipurpose tray, giving 350 conditional positions. Letter, Legal and A4 are supported in both ordinary inputs and automatic duplex at 60–120 gsm. Face-up output is unavailable for duplex. Envelopes and labels are separate non-duplex jobs, with their source/material limits. The 530-sheet second cassette and wireless module are optional.
Scanning arrangement
This is a monochrome LED print-only device. Copy mode in the engine-rate table does not establish a physical copier, scanner, document glass, ADF or fax.
Computer and mobile connections
The standard model includes USB and wired Ethernet, with wireless only through an optional module. Exact operating chapters confirm desktop computer printing over both ordinary connections. Native AirPrint uses the same network through infrastructure; it does not require a wireless module on the printer when wired to the network.
Supplies and declared yields
The US support record lists 3,000/7,000/12,000-page replacement toner under ISO/IEC 19752 A4 conditions and a separate 30,000-page drum at three pages/job. The exact unpacking chapter declares approximately 2,000 A4 pages for the included starter under ISO/IEC 19752 and instructs using it first. Replacement toner figures do not describe that starter.
Software and support
Windows PCL and PS support the documented internal-memory password-release workflow; Windows XPS and Mac drivers are explicitly excluded from that authentication function. Exact source instructions set a job password, hold the job, then search/release it from the panel. PCL desktop duplex and named-size support are retained in the same plan. Native AirPrint is separate and does not inherit PIN or unestablished named-size/duplex choices. Current driver/application compatibility needs checking.
Electrical edition and setup
The exact manual maps B412/B432 N22500 A to 110–127 VAC and N22500B to 220–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz; this assessment concerns the low-voltage US-supported configuration. Body dimensions are 387 × 364 × 245 mm with Letter loaded; the outline chapter gives 393 mm depth with A4 and 452 mm with Legal14, before working clearance. Source mass declarations differ, so loaded mass remains unknown.
