Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can an ordinary compatible USB setup print Legal color documents with 400 suitable ordinary sheets available?
Yes. The included 300-sheet cassette and 100-sheet multipurpose source support Legal at the stated paper condition. Special-media stack limits and the exact Hiper-C driver still apply.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the ordinary C5150n meet an automatic Legal duplex requirement?
No. The actual operating instructions require an optional duplex unit to be installed and enabled. That accessory is excluded from this ordinary configuration.
Explore this need in the finder →Does Single Pass Color provide a feeder for scanning originals?
No. It describes the LED print engine. C5150n has no integrated scanner or document feeder.
Explore this need in the finder →Ordinary C5150n does not include the duplex unit
The OKI C5150n is a print-only color LED machine whose original user guide explicitly lists automatic duplex as an option. Its actual driver chapter says that the unit must be installed and enabled before two-sided printing can proceed. The model name alone does not establish that hardware.
This assessment covers the ordinary configuration. It can suit one-sided office documents, including Legal, but it does not meet an automatic duplex requirement. An actual unit advertised with the accessory should be inspected and configured before relying on it.
Keep the C5150n engine figures separate from C5200n
The shared introduction gives C5150n up to 20 monochrome and 12 color pages per minute. The faster 24/16 figures belong to C5200n and C5200ne. These are original maker declarations, with no independent timing implied.
The selected passages do not establish the strict Letter simplex measurement basis, so those comparison fields remain unknown. The machine's Single Pass Color description also refers to LED printing, not document capture. There is no scanner, glass, feeder, copier or fax in this printer.
Four hundred ordinary sheets includes two different paths
The specification gives a 300-sheet main tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose source at 75 gsm. Their ordinary media tables support Letter, Legal and A4. The optional 530-sheet cassette is excluded from the standard total.
The multipurpose source has a separate 10 mm stacking limit and handles suitable envelopes and special stock. The guide describes roughly ten envelopes or fifty transparencies, rather than applying the ordinary sheet count to every material. Load the right side and leading edge for the selected media.
The rear face-up route creates a straighter path for heavier material. Opening it directs output there regardless of the driver setting, and pages emerge in reverse stack order. Arrange application page order and working clearance accordingly.
A network port does not make every shared utility applicable
The exact introduction and rear view establish Ethernet and USB. The printer uses Hiper-C, so verify the exact compatible driver on the intended computer before treating either connection as a complete installation.
The same guide labels some network monitoring utilities specifically for C5200n. Those adjacent utility descriptions are not promoted into C5150n features. Nor does a historic network interface establish native AirPrint, Mopria or a current mobile workflow.
The driver instructions also distinguish preferences changed for one job from defaults changed through the printer folder. Record which setting was changed when diagnosing an unexpected paper path or document layout on a shared installation.
New-drum initialization changes toner consumption
The maintenance chapter separates toner from the four image drums, transfer belt and fuser. Replacement toner declarations use a stated 5% coverage basis. A cartridge placed into a new drum can lose approximately 1,500 pages of expectancy while initially charging that drum.
That makes supply planning different from simply dividing a cartridge declaration by monthly output. The drum estimate assumes an average three-page print job, with shorter jobs consuming drum life faster. Belt and fuser estimates are additional maintenance declarations, not toner yields.
Workload and physical installation need their own checks
The operating specification distinguishes a 50,000-page maximum monthly duty from an average of 4,000 pages. The average is not relabeled as a recommended monthly range, and neither figure describes the condition of a particular earlier unit.
Confirm the electrical label and leave room for covers, rear output and service. The guide lists both voltage versions, while its net weight lacks a clear loaded basis. Before committing the desk space, confirm that the actual printer, optional hardware and intended operating system form a working installation.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
The exact C5150n column gives up to 20 monochrome and 12 color pages/minute, separately from C5200n/ne 24/16. No strict Letter one-sided basis is established in that passage. The specification calls 4000 pages/month an average, not a recommended interval; maximum duty is 50000 pages/month at the stated 5% basis.
Paper handling
Included input is 300 sheets in tray 1 plus 100 in the multipurpose tray at 75 gsm, for 400 sheets. Letter, Legal and A4 are supported in those paths. The second 530-sheet cassette and automatic duplex unit are optional and excluded from ordinary matching. An installed duplex unit is limited to suitable 75–105 gsm paper and excludes A6, envelopes, labels and transparencies. The multipurpose stack limit is 10 mm, about ten envelopes.
Scanning arrangement
This is a print-only four-color digital LED printer. Single Pass Color describes the print engine; it does not establish an integrated document scanner, glass, ADF, copying or fax.
Computer and mobile connections
The exact introduction and rear view establish a 10/100 Ethernet network interface and USB. The driver must match the Hiper-C model. Network-related utilities explicitly labeled C5200n-only in this shared guide are not assigned to C5150n, and no native mobile printing route is established.
Supplies and declared yields
The actual operating guide declares replacement toner at about 3000 standard or 5000 high-capacity pages at 5% coverage, rather than an ISO yield assertion. Installing toner into a new image drum can reduce cartridge expectancy by about 1500 pages while charging the drum. Drum life is about 15000 pages at three pages/job; belt and fuser declarations are separate. Included starter quantity is unestablished.
Software and support
The exact original Windows driver chapters provide job preferences and layout controls. Automatic duplex instructions require the optional hardware to be installed and enabled before use. Ordinary C5150n matching therefore does not offer automatic duplex. The original operating systems are historic and require an actual compatible-driver check.
Electrical edition and setup
The Americas guide separately lists 110–127 V and 220–240 V versions. Its body dimensions are 16.61 × 22.09 × 13.58 inches. The listed 57.3 lb is net weight without a clear loaded basis, so loaded mass is unknown. Leave room for the rear face-up path and supply replacement; the optional duplex unit changes the actual installed arrangement.
