Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can included wired C530dn provide Legal color duplex with 350 suitable ordinary sheets available?
Yes. The actual guide lists Legal in both sources and the included duplex range at 64–176 gsm. The sources total 250 plus 100 sheets.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the earlier 280-plus-100 lead establish 380-sheet included input?
No. The actual Americas operating guide and brochure both establish 250 plus 100, totaling 350. The extra 530-sheet cassette is optional.
Explore this need in the finder →Can an ordinary included C530dn supply the brochure’s encrypted PIN release without SD storage?
No. The original exact brochure requires the optional SD memory card for that function.
Explore this need in the finder →The actual standard input is three hundred fifty sheets
The OKI C530dn is an earlier color LED printer with automatic two-sided printing, USB and Ethernet. The exact Americas part table identifies 62435203 as the 120 V version and gives a different number for the 220 V edition.
Its original Americas user guide and brochure agree on a 250-sheet cassette and 100-sheet multipurpose source. That makes 350 suitable ordinary sheets included. A retained earlier lead said 280 plus 100; the actual originals correct that figure rather than carrying it forward.
Legal duplex follows a narrower paper condition
The actual cassette list includes Letter, Legal and A4. The multipurpose source accepts those same sizes, while the automatic duplex description follows the cassette range except A6. Suitable duplex paper is 64–176 gsm.
Consequently, an ordinary Legal two-sided document has a documented route, but heavy one-sided acceptance is not permission to duplex that stock. Envelopes also cannot use duplex. Keep the selected material and output path consistent with the document's actual settings.
The guide explains that active driver choices can override panel settings. When a saved job uses the wrong source or side setting, inspect the application and driver before relying on the panel default alone.
Use the rear exit for the prescribed heavier media
The actual paper-handling section limits the multipurpose and rear-output route to suitable stock up to 220 gsm. An introductory sentence mentions a higher figure, but the narrower operating instruction governs this assessment. The rear face-up exit makes the path straighter and should be opened when the prescribed stock needs it.
The manual also gives a separate long-paper condition: sheets beyond Legal length use the specified lighter banner stock and rear output. A supported custom dimension does not make every heavy long sheet suitable.
Suitable envelopes need a heat-tolerant rectangular flap construction, with no windows. The guide specifies loading orientation and a ten-envelope limit. Neither that quantity nor thick-stock handling should be confused with a hundred ordinary sheets.
The optional card matters to confidential printing
The original brochure advertises encrypted Secure Print, but its footnote requires the optional SD memory card. Ordinary included C530dn therefore does not receive PIN-release capability in this assessment. Administrative passwords and accounting restrictions are different controls.
The user guide separately identifies SD as a C530 option and warns owners with a fitted card to use the prescribed shutdown procedure. Storage-backed functions need both the actual hardware and the compatible driver; a feature name on a family brochure cannot establish an equipped individual unit.
Check USB wake behavior and the intended driver
The original guide notes that a locally connected USB printer can appear offline after entering sleep and may need its physical Power Save button to wake it. That is relevant when the printer sits away from the computer or jobs are expected to start unattended.
Ethernet provides the documented wired network alternative. Included wireless and verified native AirPrint or Mopria workflows are not established here. Single Pass refers to the color printing engine; this print-only machine has no scanner, document feeder, copying or fax.
Keep declared speed, supplies and workload separate
The Americas brochure's 31 monochrome and 27 color ppm headline has a simplex footnote, but the read declaration does not explicitly establish Letter size. The stricter Letter comparison fields therefore remain unknown. Its 60,000-page maximum monthly duty is not a recommended interval.
The starter set is declared below the replacement cartridge yields, and the drum's estimate assumes a specific job pattern. These figures do not establish measured running costs. Finally, leave room beyond the low closed body for the multipurpose source, rear output, ventilation and service.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
The original Americas brochure declares 31 mono/27 color ppm with an explicit simplex footnote, but the read rate declaration does not explicitly establish Letter size. Strict Letter fields remain unknown. The earlier inherited 30/26 claim is not substituted. Monthly maximum duty is 60000, not a recommended interval.
Paper handling
Actual Americas guide and brochure confirm a 250-sheet cassette plus 100-sheet multipurpose source, totaling 350 rather than the inherited 280+100 claim. Both accept Letter, Legal and A4; included automatic duplex accepts these at 64–176 gsm, excluding A6 and envelopes. Optional 530-sheet cassette is excluded. Actual media operation uses up to 220 gsm through multipurpose/rear exit; a generic introductory 250 gsm sentence conflicts with the narrower actual operating section and is not used.
Scanning arrangement
The exact C530dn is a color LED print-only device. Its Single Pass printing technology does not establish a glass, feeder, computer scanning, copying or fax.
Computer and mobile connections
USB 2.0 and 10/100 Ethernet are included. A compatible exact-model desktop driver is required. No included wireless or positively verified native AirPrint/Mopria route is established by these original sources.
Supplies and declared yields
The original Americas brochure declares a complete 2000-page starter set, 3500 black/3000 CMY ordinary replacements and 5000 CMYK high-capacity replacements under stated ISO 19798 conditions. Current exact maker consumables page specifies A4 ISO/IEC 19798 and a 20000-page CMYK drum at three pages/job from tray 1 simplex. These are declared bases, not tested costs.
Software and support
PCL and PostScript emulations are included. Actual duplex is provided in the Americas operating description and menu; panel choices can be overridden by active driver/application settings. Encrypted Secure Print requires the optional SD memory card per exact brochure footnote; ordinary included C530dn is not assigned PIN release. Administrator or accounting passwords are separate.
Electrical edition and setup
The exact original Americas table identifies C530dn 62435203 as 120 V and 62435204 as 220 V. Brochure body measures 16.1 × 19.8 × 9.5 inches; its 48.5 lb mass has no clear consumable basis, so loaded mass remains unknown. If optional SD is fitted, use the prescribed shutdown procedure. Direct USB sleep may require the physical Power Save button to wake the printer.
