Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can the included wired configuration print Legal color documents automatically on both sides with 350 suitable ordinary sheets available?
Yes. Both included sources support Legal at the stated paper condition, and the exact desktop driver procedure supports automatic Legal duplex at 64–176 gsm. Optional trays are unnecessary for that 350-sheet total.
Explore this need in the finder →Can its documented desktop Private Print route hold a confidential USB job for password release?
Yes. The compatible full driver encrypts and submits a password-protected job to internal memory for panel release. Available memory and the documented application and spooling restrictions still apply.
Explore this need in the finder →Can native AirPrint and desktop password release be combined into one verified workflow here?
No. Native AirPrint is established, but its procedure does not establish the full driver’s Private Print password controls. Select a documented desktop route when password release is required.
Explore this need in the finder →The exact operating guide resolves the duplex question
The OKI C532dn is a color LED printer with included automatic two-sided printing. That conclusion comes from the C532 operating instructions, rather than an assumption about the suffix. Its advanced manual provides actual long-edge and short-edge procedures for Windows PCL, Windows PS and Mac drivers.
Letter, Legal and A4 appear explicitly in the supported duplex list. The paper must be within the documented 64–176 gsm range, and the rear output tray must be closed. A requirement for automatic Legal printing therefore has a documented route, subject to the correct driver and ordinary suitable media.
Thirty-one Letter pages is a different figure from A4 or duplex
The exact specification separates 31 pages per minute on Letter from 30 on A4, for both monochrome and color simplex output. Duplex has separate, lower ratings. The Letter figure should not be presented as a promise for every orientation, stock weight or two-sided job.
This is a print-only machine. It has no integrated glass or document feeder, and its color engine does not add color scanning, copying or fax. A desk that also receives signed originals needs a separate capture workflow.
Count the included trays before planning a long run
The standard input combines a 250-sheet cassette with a 100-sheet multipurpose source. The actual loading tables give those capacities at 80 gsm and list Letter, Legal and A4 in both sources. Two additional 530-sheet trays are optional, so their capacity is excluded from the ordinary configuration.
The multipurpose path also handles envelopes, with a ten-envelope limit and restrictions on construction. Window envelopes are unsuitable, and envelopes are not duplex media. The supplied envelope lever has a specific handling purpose; it does not make every envelope design acceptable.
Heavier stock can use the appropriate one-sided path up to the stated limit. Its acceptance does not expand the lower duplex weight ceiling. Set the actual tray size, type and weight rather than relying on an application's page size alone.
Wired networking is included; wireless needs hardware
The rear connections include Ethernet and direct USB. The original installation chapter provides both routes, while wireless installation requires a separate LAN module followed by an enable setting. A listing that simply says wireless capable should be checked for that installed module.
Native AirPrint is documented over the network. An Ethernet-connected printer can serve devices on the same suitable network through an access point; the printer itself does not need an optional radio for that arrangement. Driver-specific functions still need their own verification.
Private Print is a held job, with a memory limit
The actual Private Print chapter describes encrypting a job on the computer, assigning a password and releasing it from the operator panel. It uses the machine's internal memory. A full file system can prevent a job from being accepted, so successful small documents do not guarantee that every large confidential job will fit.
This is distinct from an administrator password. It is also distinct from a basic native AirPrint submission: this assessment does not combine the native route with password controls shown only in the full driver procedure.
Plan supplies and access around the actual machine
The unpacking instructions say to use the supplied starters first. Replacement toner declarations on the exact US support record are not starter yields, and drum declarations depend on the stated job pattern. Short, intermittent work can change maintenance consumption.
The specified body weighs approximately 23 kg including consumables and requires two-person lifting. Its body dimensions also exclude the space needed to open trays, access supplies and clear the rear path. Confirm both a suitable location and the exact compatible driver before treating this earlier printer as a ready installation.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
The exact operating specification separates 31 ppm Letter simplex in both color and monochrome from 30 ppm A4. Duplex is separately rated at 16 monochrome and 14 color pages/minute. No US recommended monthly interval is assigned from regional marketing figures.
Paper handling
The ordinary included input is 250 sheets in tray 1 plus 100 in the multipurpose tray at the stated 80 gsm condition. Both support Letter, Legal and A4. Automatic duplex supports those sizes at 64–176 gsm; the multipurpose tray can take heavier stock up to 220 gsm for suitable one-sided work. Each additional 530-sheet tray is optional. Envelopes use the multipurpose tray, with a ten-envelope limit and no duplex.
Scanning arrangement
This C532/ES5432 operating manual describes a print-only four-color LED machine. It provides no integrated document glass, ADF, scanning, copying or fax. Single-pass color technology is not document capture.
Computer and mobile connections
Ethernet and direct USB computer connections are included. Wireless requires the optional wireless LAN module and a subsequent enable setting. The separately identified host USB port does not establish a wireless computer interface.
Supplies and declared yields
Use the included CMYK starter cartridges first; the unpacking chapter does not establish their numerical yield here. The exact US support record lists replacement 3500 black/3000 color or 7000 black/6000 color pages under ISO/IEC 19798 on A4. Four separate drums have a 30000-page declaration at three pages/job from tray 1 simplex. Replacement declarations do not describe the starters.
Software and support
The actual Windows PCL, Windows PS and Mac driver chapters document automatic duplex. Private Print encrypts and holds a job in internal memory until its password is entered at the panel; insufficient free memory can prevent submission. The native AirPrint plan is separate and is not assigned driver-only password release or named duplex controls.
Electrical edition and setup
The exact specification distinguishes N36301 A at 120 V from its 230 V version. Body dimensions are 427 × 571 × 279 mm, and mass is approximately 23 kg including consumables. The unpacking instructions require two-person lifting. Leave additional room for the rear output path, multipurpose tray, covers and supply access.
