Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can a compatible Ethernet desktop print duplex Legal sheets from 520 suitable 75 gsm positions and use documented color ADF capture without a named scan-size requirement?
Yes. The Legal tray and print-duplex routines are established, as is LAN computer capture. The scan route does not promise unestablished complete named-sheet coverage.
Explore this need in the finder →Does two-sided copy output establish automatic two-sided computer scanning?
No. The actual copy chapter describes two-sided output from one-sided originals. Automatic duplex capture is not established by that function.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the ordinary KX-MB3020 include a Wi-Fi printer connection?
No included Wi-Fi arrangement is established. The actual computer interfaces are USB and Ethernet.
Explore this need in the finder →A large ordinary tray and automatic print duplex
The Panasonic KX-MB3020 combines monochrome laser printing, copying, color scanning and fax in an earlier wired office MFP. Its practical appeal is a substantial standard paper tray and included automatic print duplex, alongside a flatbed and document feeder. The complete computer workflow still depends on compatible software and the actual network or USB setup.
The original guide also covers KX-MB3010, but explicitly reserves telephone and fax equipment for KX-MB3020. Follow the exact model column and inspect the label before deciding that a shared illustration establishes every function.
Paper weight changes the included capacity
The ordinary tray supports Letter, Legal and A4. Panasonic specifies up to 520 sheets at 75gsm, with smaller counts for heavier ordinary paper. That is a useful capacity, but it is conditional on the material rather than a universal count for every stack.
Set the guides and recording-paper settings to the actual size. Legal belongs in this tray, unlike Panasonic models that reserve it for an individual manual input. The optional lower tray is a separate configuration and is not counted as included.
The guide describes automatic duplex for suitable plain or thin stock, with a narrower approved weight range than all one-sided materials. Match the driver layout and material settings, and inspect a short packet before assigning a larger unattended job.
Duplex copies do not establish duplex scanning
The copying chapter explicitly describes making two-sided copies from one-sided originals. That uses the print mechanism to arrange output; it does not establish that the scanner automatically captures the backs of documents placed in the feeder.
The ADF holds up to 50 suitable originals, with weight and stack-height restrictions. The read instructions establish the ordinary capture route without establishing automatic two-sided feeder scanning or single-pass mechanics. Use an attended process and check page order when originals contain information on both sides.
The separate glass serves appropriate individually positioned items. Panasonic distinguishes the physical original and effective captured area, then ties computer-scanning length to the selected software paper size. Complete named-sheet scan coverage is therefore not assigned solely from a large original-loading range.
Make the computer destination work
USB and 10/100 Ethernet are documented. Multi-Function Station push scanning explicitly selects the USB-connected computer or a registered LAN computer, allowing a real computer capture arrangement on either supported connection.
The guide restricts WIA to USB, while other supported software and network destinations have their own procedures. Configure the actual application, folder or server and inspect a saved file. Successful network printing is not a substitute for verifying document capture.
Historic operating-system names do not guarantee that every current computer supports the same software. Establish the exact working driver and capture application before making the printer responsible for daily records. Analog fax also needs its separate telephone-line arrangement.
Keep workload and supplies separate
Panasonic declares a Letter print rate separately from A4. No confirmed recommended monthly interval or maximum duty is assigned here. In particular, a drum-life declaration is a replacement estimate, not a monthly workload target.
The shipped toner declaration is smaller than the standard replacement declaration, and the drum is a separate component. Check what is actually supplied and inspect feeding, image and service condition on an earlier unit.
Allow a complete working installation
Check the electrical label and the guide's service-clearance requirements, especially at the left side. Choose the KX-MB3020 when its proven wired workflow, ordinary tray and automatic print duplex fit the office, with scanner-size and two-sided-original requirements verified separately.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
The exact US guide declares approximately 35 Letter ppm and separately 32 A4 ppm. No maker recommended monthly interval or maximum duty is established. The drum-life declaration is a consumable estimate, not a monthly workload rating.
Paper handling
The included tray supports Letter, Legal and A4 with up to 520 sheets at 75 gsm, 470 at 80 gsm or 410 at 90 gsm. Those capacity conditions apply to exact-size matching. Automatic duplex is documented for suitable plain or thin stock, with a 64–90 gsm duplex range. The optional lower input tray is excluded; no manual-feed slot is borrowed from another Panasonic model.
Scanning arrangement
A color-capable flatbed and 50-page ADF have positive USB and LAN computer capture procedures. The guide distinguishes original dimensions from the effective scan area and says computer-scanning length depends on selected software paper size. Complete named-sheet capture coverage is not established here; confirmed route keys retain empty named-size lists. Automatic two-sided scanning and single-pass mechanics remain unknown. Two-sided copy output from one-sided originals is not duplex scanning.
Computer and mobile connections
The exact KX-MB3020 has USB and 10/100 Ethernet, plus its model-specific fax telephone connections. No included Wi-Fi or native mobile route is established. The shared guide’s KX-MB3010 has different fax equipment, which is not substituted for this exact 3020.
Supplies and declared yields
The guide declares a roughly 1,000-page starter cartridge and KX-FAT451 replacement around 5,000 ISO/IEC 19752 pages, with separate KX-FAD452 drum. The declared maximum drum life is approximately 15,000 pages and varies with use. Inspect the actual toner and drum rather than interpreting any consumable interval as monthly duty.
Software and support
Compatible Multi-Function Station software provides USB or registered LAN push capture and supported TWAIN use. WIA is separately restricted to USB in the guide. LAN FTP and email destinations require their own configuration. Administrative access codes and fax settings do not establish print-job PIN release. Historic OS support needs an actual current installation check.
Electrical edition and setup
The US instructions specify 120 V AC, 60 Hz. Closed body dimensions are about 20 7/8 × 18 1/8 × 18 7/8 inches. The guide’s approximate mass is not explicitly a complete loaded measurement, so weight fit remains unknown. It asks for substantial left-side clearance and additional right/rear space; allow original, paper and service access. Fax requires its actual analog-line arrangement.
