The Ricoh Aficio SP C242SF is an earlier color laser multifunction machine for printing, scanning, copying and fax. Its standard configuration includes USB and Ethernet. The 35-sheet document feeder and a glass large enough for Letter or A4 originals make it more useful for incoming paperwork than a dedicated printer.
The exact US configuration is part 406878. It should not be confused with the print-only C242DN or assigned the shorter body of a later C250SF. Complete model identification matters when choosing an offer and when deciding whether a questionnaire answer is genuinely supported.
Use the glass for suitable flat originals and the feeder for longer sheets
The glass accepts originals up to 8.5 × 11.7 inches, covering Letter and A4. The ADF accepts longer originals up to 8.5 × 14 inches. A Legal sheet therefore belongs in the feeder routine, rather than being described as fully covered by the shorter platen.
The source specifies an automatic feeder, not automatic two-sided original capture or single-pass scanning. Duplex copying and ID-card copying are separate features and do not prove a duplex ADF. Computer scanning is documented over USB and Ethernet
