Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can US P800 combine Ethernet AirPrint, Legal automatic duplex and 600 included ordinary sheets?
Yes. The standard input, wired-network AirPrint and documented ordinary Legal duplex routine are confirmed.
Explore this need in the finder →Does standard 2 GB RAM enable the optional Locked Print release function?
No. The exact US reference requires the optional HDD, which is not presumed included.
Explore this need in the finder →Is the listed wireless interface included in the base?
No. Ethernet and USB are standard; wireless LAN hardware is optional.
Explore this need in the finder →A fast monochrome printer with a clearly defined standard configuration
The Ricoh P 800 is a dedicated black-and-white laser printer whose useful combination is a 500-sheet cassette, 100-sheet bypass, automatic duplex and standard Gigabit Ethernet. It is a document-output choice rather than a scanner, copier or fax.
Ricoh's US reference identifies EDP 418469. The manufacturer's current reference page is useful for establishing the configuration, but does not establish stock or the condition of an individual offer. The separate P 801 has different speed and consumable declarations.
600 sheets are included; 2,600 requires four extra drawers
The standard cassette and bypass total 600 ordinary sheets. The 2,600-sheet maximum adds four optional 500-sheet paper units. An expanded picture, cabinet or maximum-capacity headline should not make those options part of a basic configuration.
The US material names Letter, Legal and A4, describes two-sided output through 8.5×14 inches and identifies default duplex printing. Suitable duplex paper has its own 64–120gsm condition. Envelopes and heavier appropriate one-sided media use the instructed bypass route instead of inheriting the duplex permission.
The P 800's speed is different from the P 801's
The exact P 800 declaration is 57 pages per minute on Letter or 55 on A4 for one-sided output. The P 801's 62ppm Letter figure should not be assigned to this model merely because an older brochure covers both printers.
An engine declaration is different from a full application-job time, automatic-duplex rate or first page after sleep. The reviewed sources do not establish a recommended sustained monthly range for this assessment. That missing workload recommendation is not replaced with an invented maximum or a neighboring model's figures.
Standard RAM is not the optional Locked Print storage
The P 800 includes 2GB of memory, but the US feature description separately requires an optional 320GB hard disk to enable Locked Print and hold jobs until release. The basic configuration therefore does not qualify for a required private PIN-release workflow.
User authentication and quotas answer different questions from storing a confidential job in a release queue. If private collection is essential, confirm the actual installed disk, relevant settings and compatible driver procedure. A generic security label or standard memory capacity should not substitute for that option.
Wired networking supports documented native mobile protocols
Gigabit Ethernet and USB are included. Native AirPrint and Mopria are documented network printing options, and a compatible device needs the appropriate reachable network arrangement. The USB computer route does not inherit those network protocols.
The wireless LAN interface is optional. NFC-assisted application pairing should not be treated as proof that every basic unit contains a wireless radio or provides a peer connection. Check the actual installed options and network setup rather than expecting a smartphone feature list to describe every physical interface.
Separate standard emulation, optional languages and supplies
PCL, PostScript 3 emulation and PDF-direct emulation are listed as standard. Genuine Adobe PostScript, IPDS and Adobe PDF-direct features are separate options. Match the actual language requirement to the supplied configuration and current computer driver.
The exact US sheet declares a 10,000-page starter and 25,500-page replacement toner. The P 801's larger high-yield option is not a P 800 supply declaration. Historical yields and long-life part statements do not establish remaining toner, machine wear or today's cost per page.
The documented body is 16.5×16.1×13.6 inches and 39.7lb, with the weight inclusion basis unstated. Allow front paper access, cables, ventilation and maintenance room, plus extra installation size for optional drawers. Match the 120–127V, 60Hz US edition and actual label before selecting an offer.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
The P800 declares 57 ppm Letter and 55 ppm A4 one-sided. The faster P801 is a different model. Recommended monthly volume and maximum duty remain unestablished in the read sources.
Paper handling
Included input is 500 cassette plus 100 bypass sheets. Automatic Letter/Legal/A4 duplex uses eligible 64–120 gsm stock. Optional drawers raise capacity; envelopes and suitable heavier one-sided stock use the bypass.
Scanning arrangement
Dedicated monochrome laser printer without scanner, feeder, copy or fax hardware.
Computer and mobile connections
Gigabit Ethernet and computer USB 2.0 are standard. Wireless requires the optional LAN unit. Native AirPrint/Mopria use the supported network, rather than USB computer printing.
Supplies and declared yields
The exact P800 US sheet declares 10000-page starter and 25500-page replacement toner under ISO/IEC 19752. P801 higher-yield toner is not borrowed; roller life does not establish remaining life or current cost.
Software and support
Standard PCL, PostScript/PDF emulation is separate from optional genuine Adobe/IPDS features. Locked Print expressly requires the optional 320 GB HDD; included 2 GB RAM is not a substitute.
Electrical edition and setup
US EDP 418469 has a confirmed 120–127 V, 60 Hz edition. Body: 16.5 × 16.1 × 13.6 inches, 39.7 lb with weight-inclusion basis unstated. Drawers and cabinet add size; allow operating clearance.
