SP3600DN (407314)Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible USB or Ethernet document routine needing a larger ordinary input without a scanner.

The main tradeoff

The SF scanning hardware and wireless option do not belong to the DN. Expanded 850-sheet capacity requires an extra drawer.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the SP3600DN provide Ethernet monochrome printing, 350 included ordinary sheets and automatic duplex with flexible paper size?

Yes. Those exact DN features are documented; paper-specific duplex permissions are not independently established here.

Does the DN include the SF scanner and fax?

No. The DN is the dedicated printer; multifunction hardware belongs to the SF models.

Can the DN use the brochure’s SF-only wireless option as included Wi-Fi?

No. That option is explicitly limited to the SF models and is not included in the base DN.

A dedicated LED printer, without the SF scanning hardware

The Ricoh SP 3600DN is an earlier monochrome LED printer with a 350-sheet included paper arrangement and automatic duplex printing. It is the dedicated printing member of a family that also includes the SP 3600SF and SP 3610SF multifunction machines.

The exact US DN configuration is part 407314. The manufacturer explicitly identifies the printing technology as LED. The scanner, copying, fax and larger multifunction frame belong to the SF models, so their shared brochure should not make the DN appear to handle incoming originals.

Included capacity is 350 sheets; 850 requires an option

The ordinary input combines a 250-sheet cassette with a 100-sheet bypass. Both are actual stacks, rather than counting a single hand-fed sheet as extra bulk capacity. The specified paper ranges cover the supported Letter, Legal and A4 document routine.

Separate 250- and 500-sheet feed units are options. The larger unit explains the 850-sheet expanded maximum, and either adds height and weight below the printer. Confirm the actual supplied hardware before using an expanded headline to choose a machine for longer unattended jobs.

Automatic duplex is documented, with a media condition

The original sheet lists automatic duplex as standard and states a suitable-paper weight range. It does not separately provide each general input size's duplex permission, so a strict paper-specific two-sided requirement needs the exact operating instruction rather than a guess from the tray range.

The source also describes longer custom media through the bypass. That does not mean banners or every supported one-sided special medium belong in automatic duplex. Use the instructed path and media condition for the actual job, including the envelope routine.

USB and Ethernet are the DN's standard connections

The DN includes USB and wired Ethernet. The optional wireless unit in this brochure is explicitly limited to the multifunction SF models, and their USB host function is also separate from the DN's computer connection. A family-level wireless description should not make the base DN qualify an essential Wi-Fi requirement.

The Ricoh Smart Device Print & Scan app is described for a compatible device on the same configured network. That app is not confirmation of native AirPrint, Mopria or Wi-Fi Direct. Choose the exact supported computer or mobile route rather than assuming every listed connection shares every protocol.

Keep workload and controller figures separate

The US declaration is 31ppm Letter monochrome output. The source distinguishes a 6,000-print maximum monthly volume from a 50,000-print duty cycle; neither becomes a sustained recommended monthly range here. First-page, warm-up and sleep-recovery figures also describe different starting conditions.

The DN controller has 256MB, while the SF models list 512MB. PCL and genuine Adobe PostScript3 are named print languages. Confirm a current compatible exact-model driver and do not treat the larger family memory or a general security description as evidence of a private-PIN release routine.

Account for separate toner, drum and service items

The original starter toner is declared at 1,500 pages. Listed replacements include 3,000- and 6,000-print toner cartridges, with a separate photoconductor and maintenance kit carrying their own declarations. These are different service items; replacing toner does not automatically replace every imaging component or establish remaining machine life.

The DN body is 14.6 × 15.4 × 10.55 inches and 31.9 pounds, using US 120V/60Hz power. Allow paper, cable and maintenance access and check fitted options. Its clear role is compatible wired monochrome printing with a substantial included input, provided scanning, included Wi-Fi or a particular native mobile protocol is not essential.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

The exact US model declares 31 ppm Letter. Maximum monthly volume and maximum duty are separate from an explicit recommended interval; no foreign A4 rate is borrowed.

Paper handling

Included input is 250 cassette plus 100 bypass sheets. Optional input raises the maximum to 850. Automatic duplex is standard at 52–162 gsm, but exact-size duplex permissions remain unassigned.

Scanning arrangement

Dedicated monochrome LED printer without scanner, feeder, copy or fax hardware. SF scanning features do not belong to DN.

Computer and mobile connections

Computer USB and Ethernet are standard. The brochure’s P6 wireless option is expressly SF-only, rather than included DN hardware. App support does not establish native mobile protocols.

Supplies and declared yields

The original separates starter/replacement toner, photoconductor and maintenance-kit declarations. These are different service items, rather than one all-in-one cartridge or remaining-life promise.

Software and support

The DN has 256 MB memory and documented genuine Adobe/PCL support, distinct from SF hardware. Verify the exact current driver; a precise private PIN workflow is unestablished.

Electrical edition and setup

US SP3600DN 407314 specifies 120 V, 60 Hz, 10 A. Body: 14.6 × 15.4 × 10.55 inches, 31.9 lb with inclusion basis unspecified. Paper options add height and weight.
