SP4510SF (407302,US)Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible wired office routine needing two-sided Legal computer capture and monochrome document output.

The main tradeoff

Private collection needs the optional disk. The feeder is not single-pass, and ordinary Wi-Fi is optional.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can standard Ethernet combine monochrome Legal output, reversing Legal color capture and 600 included sheets?

Yes. The exact ordinary network and document paths are documented.

A monochrome LED multifunction printer for wired office work

The Ricoh SP4510SF combines monochrome LED printing with copying, fax and color scanning. Its 50-sheet reversing feeder and 600-sheet standard input can suit a compatible network office routine that handles loose two-sided paperwork and ordinary document output.

This assessment concerns US part 407302. Despite its compact description, it needs working space around the scanner, feeder and paper paths. It also has optional storage and networking features that should be checked separately rather than treated as part of every machine bearing the model name.

Use the Legal feeder and smaller glass for different originals

The automatic reversing feeder supports two-sided originals through 8.5 ×14-inch Legal. Reversing is not single-pass scanning. A user who specifically needs both sides captured in one pass should choose a different confirmed model rather than assume all automatic duplex feeders work the same way.

The glass is specified at 216 ×297mm, supporting Letter and A4. Legal glass capture is not established. Network TWAIN and folder destinations provide documented computer-scanning routes, while a USB memory-card output feature is different from USB computer scanning.

Standard input is 600 sheets and output is 250

The included 500-sheet cassette and 100-sheet bypass total 600 sheets. Optional 250- or 500-sheet banks support expanded configurations up to 1600. Confirm the actual fitted units before using the largest capacity to compare an offer.

The 250-sheet output tray can need clearing before a larger input supply is exhausted. The bypass accepts longer custom sheets, but its 8.5-inch width does not create A3 or Tabloid support. Leave room for those paper movements instead of checking only the closed-body footprint.

Automatic print duplex does not settle every precise media combination

Automatic two-sided printing is standard within the listed 52–162gsm duplex range. That confirms the general feature. It does not independently supply a separately enumerated duplex-size list, so precise paper-plus-duplex matches are kept within what the source actually establishes.

Scanner and printer media conditions are also different. The feeder's two-sided-original weight range is narrower than some one-sided handling limits. A suitable print sheet is not automatically a suitable scanner original, and an ID-card copy feature does not replace a document-feed specification.

Private collection requires the optional disk

The brochure describes authenticated release and lists Locked Print, but its detailed footnotes require the optional hard disk for those functions. The basic machine therefore should not qualify an essential private-PIN requirement simply because privacy features appear in the marketing text.

The 320GB disk is different from the included 1GB memory and its higher memory option. Document-server storage, OCR and browser features have their own prerequisites too. Confirm the exact fitted configuration and compatible software before depending on stored forms, searchable PDFs or private job collection.

Choose standard Ethernet before assuming optional wireless

Gigabit Ethernet and USB printing are standard. Ordinary wireless and a parallel interface are options. The documented network scanner workflow needs its destination, credentials and supported computer software configured; a general USB socket list does not establish that same capture routine over USB.

The Ricoh app name does not independently establish native AirPrint, Mopria or Wi-Fi Direct. Historical cloud-service examples likewise should not become a present-day promise. Choose a confirmed connection and exact-model software route for the actual office environment.

Check workload, power and separate service items

The manufacturer declares 42ppm Letter monochrome output. The 10000-print maximum monthly volume and 150000-print duty cycle are separate ceilings, not an explicit recommended sustained range. The 120V/60Hz body measures 16.5 ×16.8 ×19 inches and is listed at 50.6 pounds.

The original starter is declared at 6000 pages, with different replacement-toner capacities and separate photoconductor and maintenance items. Those declarations do not show what remains in an individual older machine. Choose the 4510SF for supported wired document work and reversing Legal capture, while verifying optional hardware, supplies and service condition.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Declared Letter output is 42 ppm. Color/black scanner image rates are separate. Maximum monthly volume and duty are not an explicit recommended interval.

Paper handling

Included input is 500 cassette plus 100 bypass sheets. Automatic duplex uses 52–162 gsm stock, with exact duplex sizes unassigned. Optional paper units explain the larger maximum.

Scanning arrangement

The 50-sheet reversing feeder automatically captures both sides through Legal. Glass is Letter/A4. Network TWAIN/SMB/FTP computer delivery is documented; USB-media saving is separate.

Computer and mobile connections

Gigabit Ethernet, computer USB and USB host are standard. Wireless and parallel are optional. A named mobile app does not independently establish native AirPrint/Mopria/Direct.

Supplies and declared yields

Starter and exact SP4500 replacement toner, PCU and maintenance declarations are separate. Toner replacement does not renew the entire printer; yields are not remaining life.

Software and support

Locked Print, Stored Print and specified authentication expressly require the optional 320 GB disk. Optional OCR/browser/cloud references do not guarantee current service availability.

Electrical edition and setup

US SP4510SF 407302 specifies 120 V, 60 Hz, 10 A. Body: 16.5 × 16.8 × 19 inches, 50.6 lb with inclusion basis unspecified. Allow reversing-feeder, lid and service access.
