The Samsung CLP-670ND is an earlier color laser printer whose original US brochure includes PostScript3 and PCL6. That distinguishes its software package from the CLP-620ND. For an application that needs a particular printer language, this is a more useful comparison than the family name alone.
Confirm the exact driver, application and operating system before choosing an offered unit. A historical supported-system list is useful context, but not a guarantee for every present computer. Test a representative file with the language and settings you intend to keep.
Ethernet serves shared printing without adding wireless
The documented included interfaces are computer USB and Ethernet. A configured wired network can make the printer available to compatible office computers without relying on a directly attached desktop as the print server.
Set the actual address and queue, and check who manages defaults in a shared setup. An administrative web page can help configure the device, but does not add a radio. Do not assume the standard printer offers wireless placement or modern mobile printing simply because it is network-capable.
For repeat reports, save a known-good output sample. It can help identify a source or driver change later, especially when several people use different applications. A local demonstration page does not exercise the whole network and software arrangement.
Paper capacity starts with two ordinary inputs
The supplied package has a 250-sheet cassette and 100-sheet multipurpose input. That is 350 ordinary sheets; the additional 500-sheet cassette is optional. Check the actual lower feeder in an offer rather than assuming the maximum illustrated configuration is supplied.
The documented size range accommodates ordinary Letter, Legal and A4. Match the guides and software settings to the actual stock. A separate front source can keep another material ready, but the application still needs to select it deliberately.
Leave room for the front input, withdrawn cassette, covers and rear connections. The closed printer dimensions do not include all of that access. Suitable physical placement matters when users need to change stock or service a paper path without moving a heavy machine.
Automatic duplex and special materials are different checks
An automatic duplexer is included, so supported two-sided output does not require the manual refeed routine of a simpler model. Confirm the particular size, stock and binding against the operating instructions before relying on a specific duplex job.
The brochure’s full paper-size range is not a detailed duplex-media table. The finder therefore separates unverified size-specific duplex needs from ordinary paper support. Envelopes, labels and other special materials need their own loading instructions, not permission borrowed from everyday reports.
Expanded memory is a condition of the storage claim
The original brochure describes secure file storage without a hard drive in conjunction with added optional memory. It should not be presented as evidence that every standard-memory CLP-670ND already provides the same installed routine.
Inspect the actual memory configuration and required release controls if that feature matters. Maximum memory is an upgrade ceiling, not standard equipment. Network authentication and a printed Confidential watermark are also different from a job held until its owner releases it.
Compare the real supplies and condition
Samsung declares up to 25 Letter pages per minute for mono or color, with a monthly maximum duty figure separate from a recommended recurring workload. These are original specifications rather than our own timing or reliability results.
Check all color cartridges, the transfer belt, available replacements and the actual electrical label. Declared yield is not remaining life. Choose the CLP-670ND for compatible wired color work when its included language and paper arrangement fit; choose another machine when you need scanning, supplied wireless or a verified different paper-handling routine.
