CLX-6250FXIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

Compatible offices that need wired color printing and two-sided capture in one machine.

The main tradeoff

Use the operating guide’s 40-sheet feeder limit; wireless and private-job storage are optional arrangements.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can it duplex ordinary Legal color printouts and capture two-sided Legal originals over Ethernet?

Yes, with supported media, compatible scan setup and the documented feeder routine.

A substantial multifunction machine for a wired office

The Samsung CLX-6250FX is an earlier color all-in-one with printing, scanning, copying and faxing. Its size and original-handling equipment make it a different installation from a compact print-only model. Plan the space and working routine before comparing a headline speed.

USB and Ethernet are supplied connections. The wireless card is optional, so a base offer should be assessed as a wired machine unless the correct functioning accessory is actually installed. Regional electrical ratings and supply references also need exact-unit checks.

Use the operating guide’s feeder limit

The actual loading instructions specify up to 40 ordinary sheets at the stated weight. Use that operating limit when planning batches. Prepare suitable originals and remove fasteners instead of relying on the largest capacity number found in an older brochure.

The feeder supports the documented ordinary range including Letter, Legal and A4. The glass provides a separate route for individual originals. A feeder’s longer document range should not be applied to the glass without confirming its actual capture area.

Two-sided scanning is separate from two-sided printing

The guide describes using the Duplex control to capture both sides of suitable originals through the feeder. This can reduce repeated manual turning for incoming forms and contracts. It does not establish a single-pass mechanism, which is a more specific scanner requirement.

Test a complete short scan and inspect page order, rotation and the final file. A functioning feeder is useful only when the application and destination preserve the complete document in the form the office needs.

Automatic output duplex is a different route, documented for ordinary Letter, Legal and A4 under its narrower paper-weight conditions. Specialty materials that can feed once should not automatically be treated as duplex stock. Check binding with a complete sample report.

Configure the destination, not just the connection

The original software supports local and network scanning arrangements. Scan and Fax Manager needs the intended local or registered network computer, while supported TWAIN applications provide another route. Windows WIA uses the documented USB arrangement.

Folder and email delivery each need their own server and account settings. A working network print queue does not prove that the saved scan path, permissions or outgoing mail configuration are ready. Check compatibility with the actual present server before relying on an older protocol description.

For a repeatable routine, agree a destination, naming method and file format, then test representative originals. Include color pages and reverse sides where those are part of the real job. That check is more useful than simply seeing the scanner name in an application.

Paper and storage options change the offered configuration

The supplied printing sources combine a 250-sheet cassette with a 100-sheet multipurpose tray. An additional cassette is optional. Verify what is included, whether it feeds correctly and which stock each source will hold.

The hard drive is another option. The guide ties stored private jobs and password release to installed and enabled storage. If confidential release matters, test submitting, holding and releasing a document with the actual driver and device configuration.

Check the complete unit and supply system

The exact model has different declared rates and supplies from its adjacent family member. Toner, transfer components and other service items should be checked individually. Full-cartridge yield declarations cannot reveal remaining installed supplies or current running cost.

Inspect the model and electrical plate, feeding, duplex scans and representative color output. Leave access for the feeder, trays, covers and cables. The CLX-6250FX fits compatible wired color work and automatic two-sided capture when its physical installation and software routine suit the office; telephone fax still needs its own configured compatible line.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Exact 6250 declared 25 Letter / 24 A4 mono and color, not 6220 slower figure or measured performance.80000 duty ceiling is not recommended recurring volume.

Paper handling

250-sheet cassette plus 100-sheet multipurpose tray supplied. Ordinary Letter / Legal / A4 automatic duplex documented at 75–105 gsm; broader single-sided ranges not copied. Optional cassette separate. Envelopes need prescribed loading and media type.

Scanning arrangement

Actual guide limits feeder to 40 sheets at 80 gsm; original brochure lists 50, so plan using narrower operating instruction. Legal/Letter/A4 feeder range and Duplex-button two-sided capture documented; mechanism unspecified, not taggedsinglepass. Glass present but exact size range unestablished. Color capture supported.

Computer and mobile connections

USB and Ethernet 10/100 supplied; 802.11b/g card optional, not assumed installed. Scan and Fax Manager/TWAIN local and network paths documented; WindowsWIA USB-only. RegisteredNetworkPC, folder permissions/SMB or FTP account and SMTP need their respective setup. Existing print queue does not complete scanning.

Supplies and declared yields

Original 6250 starter black 5,000 / each color 4,000, replacement black 2,500 / 5,000 and color 2,000 / 4,000 ISO/IEC 19798. Separate transfer belt. Check actual regional parts and installed remaining life; no current-price or cost-per-page assumption.

Software and support

256 MB standard, max 768; 160 GB HDD optional. Actual private-job password release depends on installed/enabled optional storage, so no base secure-PIN plan assigned. Older driver/app and current network-protocol compatibility need actual check.

Electrical edition and setup

Earlier exact 6250FX model reference, not 6220. Fax needs separately configured compatible analog telephone line. Verify voltage label and condition; 82.5 lb / closed body dimensions exclude service and feeder access.
