ML-2510Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

Compatible computer paperwork where manual duplex is acceptable and simple black-and-white output is enough.

The main tradeoff

The SPL host-based configuration lacks the included Ethernet and PCL/PostScript of higher family variants.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can it print Legal mono pages through USB with 250 ordinary sheets loaded?

Yes, with compatible software and correctly adjusted guides.

The simplest configuration has a specific software dependency

The Samsung ML-2510 is an earlier black-and-white document printer for a compatible desktop. Its original US brochure distinguishes its SPL host-based printing from the PCL and PostScript capabilities of the ML-2570 and ML-2571N. That difference matters when deciding whether an older office application or present computer can drive the exact printer.

Do not choose it merely because a family listing mentions several printer languages. Check the actual ML-2510 driver, operating system and application you intend to use. A direct USB routine can be straightforward once supported, but the cable cannot replace the required software.

A useful ordinary-paper stack for a small desk

The supplied main tray holds up to 250 ordinary sheets. A separate manual route takes individual materials, letting you handle occasional envelopes or a special sheet without treating those materials as a full ordinary-paper stack.

The guide supports Letter, Legal and A4. Adjust the paper-length and width guides to the loaded size, and select the matching size and source in the application or driver. A printer that accepts Legal can still misfeed or format incorrectly when the tray and document settings disagree.

For specialty work, use the instructed one-sheet feed and the correct paper type. Envelope construction, label adhesive and media weight remain relevant. Buying a supported material in bulk before trying a small quantity is less useful than confirming it feeds correctly in the individual machine.

Two-sided printing requires your participation

The ML-2510’s original instructions describe manual duplex. It prints one side and asks you to reload the stack for the other. The supported ordinary-paper range for that process is narrower than the full range of single-sided media.

This can suit occasional two-sided correspondence when someone is at the computer. It is a weaker fit for an unattended queue of long reports. The finder excludes it for an automatic-duplex requirement so that a software option does not get mistaken for an installed page-turning mechanism.

Pay attention to the binding setting and the refeed prompt. The desired long-edge or short-edge result depends on those choices. Labels, transparencies, envelopes and thick materials should not be sent through this ordinary two-sided process.

Network capability is an optional addition

Included connections are USB and a legacy parallel interface. The original documentation describes an external wired print server as an optional way to put the ML-2510 on a network. It does not make Ethernet part of the supplied base printer.

If network sharing is essential, verify the actual external server and its compatible configuration, or select a model with the required interface included. The USB standard is also described differently across the original brochure and guide, so this assessment promises the documented connection rather than a particular data-transfer rate.

Judge condition and supplies before headline specifications

The declared rate reaches 25 Letter pages per minute, while the monthly duty ceiling is 10,000 pages. Neither is an independent timing test or a recommended monthly workload. The duration of a real job also depends on the computer, document and installed software.

The original replacement cartridge rating differs from the starter cartridge supplied with a new machine. An earlier offered unit may have neither that original cartridge nor its original remaining yield. Check actual consumables, feeding condition, available drivers and the electrical label before treating a low purchase price as low running cost. Try ordinary sheets and the document types you regularly need.

Choose the ML-2510 for supported direct printing when a 250-sheet main tray and manual duplex fit your work. Scanning, copying, automatic page turning and included Ethernet call for a different configuration or additional documented equipment.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Declared rate: 25 Letter / 24 A4 ppm. The 10,000-page monthly duty ceiling is not recommended recurring volume or a measured performance result.

Paper handling

The main tray holds 250 ordinary sheets; the separate manual path takes one sheet. Letter, Legal and A4 are supported. Manual duplex requires compatible software and 75–90 gsm stock. Special materials use their own individual-sheet loading routine.

Scanning arrangement

Print-only. No scanner, copy, fax, glass or ADF.

Computer and mobile connections

USB and legacy parallel are included. The external Ethernet server is optional. USB speed wording differs between the original guide and US brochure, so the connection is confirmed without a transfer-rate promise. Modern wireless and mobile protocols are not established.

Supplies and declared yields

ML-2010D3 replacement yield: 3,000 pages under the stated test, versus a 1,000-page starter. Declared yield and Toner Save settings do not establish remaining toner or measured operating cost.

Software and support

The exact ML-2510 has host-based SPL and 8 MB nonexpandable memory. PCL and PostScript belong to higher family configurations. Manual duplex needs compatible software and refeeding; a Confidential watermark is not PIN release.

Electrical edition and setup

Original US Letter-capable reference. Body and weight figures differ between the brochure and guide, so those filters remain unspecified. Regional electrical editions differ; verify the actual offered machine’s label.
