ML-2570Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible computer or established printing workflow that benefits from PCL/PostScript while accepting manual duplex.

The main tradeoff

The higher print-language specification does not include the ML-2571N’s network interface.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can it print mono A4 pages through USB with 250 ordinary sheets?

Yes, through compatible software. The main tray accepts A4, Letter and Legal.

Is Ethernet included in the standard ML-2570?

No. The external network server is optional.

Do PCL and PostScript add automatic duplex?

No. The documented two-sided routine remains manual.

Printer-language support is the main distinction

The Samsung ML-2570 adds PCL and PostScript emulation to an earlier compact monochrome printing platform. That makes it different from the host-based ML-2510 even though the two share many visible paper-handling features. A workflow that already expects one of those printer languages should identify the exact model before choosing a driver.

The original table also gives the ML-2570 more memory than the ML-2510. Those are useful configuration distinctions, but they do not prove that every current application, operating system or unusual document will work without setup. Confirm the actual driver and language path your work needs.

It remains a directly connected base printer

The supplied configuration has computer USB and a legacy parallel connection. The ML-2571N is the family member with Ethernet built in. For the ML-2570, the documentation instead describes an optional external wired network server.

This matters when an offer uses a shared family photograph or advertises network support without describing the extra box. If you need Ethernet, inspect the actual included equipment and its software support. The assessed base ML-2570 does not pass the finder’s included-Ethernet requirement.

Likewise, a compatible desktop connection is not evidence of modern phone-printing protocols. AirPrint, Mopria and a standardized Wi-Fi Direct route are not established by the original material used for this assessment.

Separate ordinary stacks from individual specialty sheets

The main tray supplies up to 250 ordinary sheets. The separate manual path handles individual envelopes and other supported materials. This can make occasional special jobs convenient without emptying the main paper supply, provided the correct source and media type are selected.

Letter, Legal and A4 are documented ordinary sizes. Set the guides to the actual stack and make the application size agree with the driver. The printer’s ability to accept a long page does not prevent incorrect scaling when software still expects a different size.

The manual feed is a one-sheet routine. Envelope quality, material weight and the prescribed loading direction remain important. Do not treat the ordinary-paper capacity as a capacity for labels, heavy card or envelopes.

Manual duplex changes the time you spend nearby

The documented two-sided routine prints one side before asking the operator to refeed the paper. Its suitable ordinary-paper range is 75–90 gsm. The booklet and binding options in supported software do not supply an automatic duplex mechanism.

If you print occasional two-sided letters, that extra handling may be manageable. If several people send unattended duplex reports, the manual step can interrupt the queue. Choose a configuration with documented automatic duplex if that is part of the everyday requirement.

Try a short ordinary-paper job first so that orientation and binding are clear. The manual explicitly separates special materials from two-sided printing. A successful first side on an envelope is not permission to reverse it for another pass.

Use the historical specifications as a starting point

Samsung declares up to 25 Letter pages per minute and a 10,000-page monthly duty ceiling. The latter is not a recommended monthly printing volume, and neither figure is an independent test of a particular used machine. Computer processing and document complexity also affect a complete job.

Before purchase, check the electrical plate, current driver route, cartridge condition and paper feed. The old starter and replacement toner ratings are different, while an offered unit’s remaining toner is unknown. For a shared desk, decide who will load special paper and collect manual two-sided output before putting several people on one queue. The ML-2570 is most useful when its included printer languages solve a real compatibility need and a direct connection with manual duplex already fits the work.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Declared rate: 25 Letter / 24 A4 ppm. The 10,000-page monthly duty ceiling is not recommended recurring volume or a measured performance result.

Paper handling

The main tray holds 250 ordinary sheets; the separate manual path takes one sheet. Letter, Legal and A4 are supported. Manual duplex requires compatible software and 75–90 gsm stock. Special materials use their own individual-sheet loading routine.

Scanning arrangement

Print-only. No scanner, copy, fax, glass or ADF.

Computer and mobile connections

Computer USB and legacy parallel are included. Ethernet requires the optional external server. No included WiFi, standardized Direct route, AirPrint or Mopria is established.

Supplies and declared yields

ML-2010D3 replacement yield: 3,000 pages under the stated test, versus a 1,000-page starter. Declared yield and Toner Save settings do not establish remaining toner or measured operating cost.

Software and support

The exact ML-2570 has 32 MB nonexpandable memory and SPL, PCL6 and PostScript3 emulation. The ML-2510 has a different host-based package. Manual duplex still requires a supported driver and refeeding; PIN release is not established.

Electrical edition and setup

Original US Letter-capable reference. Body and weight figures differ between the brochure and guide, so those filters remain unspecified. Regional electrical editions differ; verify the actual offered machine’s label.
