Choose the print-only machine for a print-only workload

The Samsung ProXpress C2620DW is an earlier color laser printer aimed at document printing. It shares a brochure with the C2670FW multifunction model, but their jobs differ. The C2620DW has no scanning glass, document feeder, copy function or fax connection.

That separation matters if your office already has a scanner and simply needs a shared color output device. Paying attention to the actual workflow is more useful than assuming every feature in a family brochure belongs to every cabinet.

Color and monochrome have the same declared Letter rate

Samsung gives the C2620DW a declared rate of up to 27 Letter pages per minute for monochrome and color. This is a more relevant comparison for mixed reports than a specification that combines a fast black figure with a much slower color figure.

The number is not our timing result. A short complex file, a waking machine and a continuous plain-text batch can have different completion times. Consider how often colleagues send separate jobs, rather than calculating every document from the engine headline alone.

The supplied trays total 300 sheets

The ordinary paper supply combines a 250-sheet cassette with a 50-sheet bypass. The optional second cassette adds 520 sheets, taking the stated maximum to 820. An offer must include that accessory before the larger figure becomes useful.

A second tray can also separate regular paper from a different ordinary size without continual unloading. Check the installed trays and guides, not simply the tallest photograph in a listing. Paper capacity and the ability to keep different stocks ready are related but different conveniences.

Letter, Legal and A4 are within the documented ordinary range. Envelopes and other specialty materials need their prescribed settings and loading routine. Run suitable stock in a small quantity before assigning a repeated stationery job to an older machine.

Automatic duplex is different from universal duplex media support

The C2620DW has automatic two-sided printing hardware. For everyday reports that can reduce the need to stand beside the machine and reload the second sides. Set the binding edge deliberately and check a complete short sample before a large run.

Automatic hardware does not mean every accepted material can travel through that route. Confirm the exact size, weight and stock instructions for the job. A supported envelope or small card in a bypass is not automatically a suitable duplex sheet.

Match the connection and software to the offered unit

The US brochure lists computer USB, wired networking and a separate USB memory-device port. The original model-feature guide also identifies a wireless arrangement, with country qualifications. Verify the exact unit, supported driver and network configuration before relying on wireless placement.

The touchscreen is useful for selecting device functions, but does not establish that any present phone application will work. Likewise, historical mobile and cloud branding should be checked against the actual device and service you plan to use today.

Computer USB, network printing and direct memory-device printing are distinct paths. If you regularly receive particular file types, test the intended path with representative documents. A supported printer language on a desktop queue does not independently establish support for every file placed on a memory stick.

Inspect consumables as a complete color system

There are separate black and color cartridges, and the waste container is another service item. Starter and replacement yields differ. Declared page yields help identify the supply family but cannot tell you the remaining life in an offered machine.

Inspect feeding, representative color output, the electrical plate and the exact supplies installed. Leave room for loading and service access beyond the closed cabinet. Choose this model for compatible shared color printing; choose a multifunction alternative when paper capture and unattended original handling are equally important.
